Hi Raver mate.
All of us are struggling to some degree right now mate, we're all having down days and down periods of time, it's only natural as we are all collectively going through the most difficult period of history any of us have ever experienced.
Our greatest strength for all of us right now is each other mate, so give all your mates on the site a lift today by letting us know your ok geezer.
This time to will pass mate.

Hi Raver just wondering if you will be popping over to see us tonight mate :-) .

gunner62

{Ed047's Note - I’m not sure 62, he’s not one to hide but the Special One is already showing his Big Red No42 colours.

1.) 22 Dec 2019 19:21:52
The cereal winner strikes again Ed047 mate, heeee's Great!
I hope he's taking responsibility for today because there is no denying the Bus stops with him mate :-)

{Ed047's Note - I’m genuinely so glad we didn’t get him despite 911’s desperation for him! 😂

2.) 22 Dec 2019 19:49:18
Me too mate, RG isn't one to let go of his opinion lightly no matter what happens to the contrary, but once he turns he turns with a passion :-)

Emery went from the best thing since sliced bread regardless of anything that happend to suddenly becoming our biggest mistake in the history of football :-)

I've a feeling it's only time before he conveniently forgets all about his Jose obsession too mate:-)

{Ed047's Note - I make you right mate, his next thing seems to be his love of Chris Smalling yet another hapless defender! 🙄😂

3.) 22 Dec 2019 20:00:52
Smallimg is everything Chambers can never possibly be regardless of how well he plays mate :-)

RG certainly has his very own special take on things that seems totally unaffected by reality and fact :-)

{Ed047's Note - 😂 absolutely mate, a true legend in his own mind!

I know like us Leicester and even city still you have your eye on being champions come May and as things stand youve every right to but if it happened would you consider 4th place as still being an excellent season for Spurs or a disappointing underachievement now?

gunner62

1.) 15 Feb 2016 21:30:57
Gunner, if you said to any spurs fan that we will finish top 4 at the end of the season they would be over the moon. If we don't win the league I will still be happy as we have made huge strides under mopo and we can only get stronger. We will be making huge money in the champions league at the same time as our stadium is being built is even more of a bonus. I still think we will win a cup this season if it's the league, Europa or FA cup we will have to wait and see.

2.) 15 Feb 2016 21:40:51
I think we would all say the same as you, it would be very disappointing not to win it now.

A Cl spot at the start of the season was a big maybe for us, but now having played as we have I think we are going to win the league I really do. Pochettino has transformed us.

3.) 15 Feb 2016 22:22:58
We play 3 games before our next PL fixture. The gooners play 2 and Leicester play 0.

I'd have to think Leicester are favorites at this point in time, the benefits of rest and recuperation for their key players at this stage of the season should give them an edge.

4.) 15 Feb 2016 22:51:51
To be fair Yellow its a long time for Leicester to have to wait to shake off the disappointment, sometimes you just want to get straight back at it and the longer they have to wait could play against them, possibly :-)

5.) 15 Feb 2016 23:01:35
When your playing well and winning. You want to keep playing. Bring it on.

6.) 15 Feb 2016 23:59:08
G62, I have a feeling this Leicester team will cope.

You guys have to deal with Messi and co, we have Fiorentina twice. Not easy options.

7.) 16 Feb 2016 08:24:47
The Barcelona game for us is a no lose tie in many ways yellow mate, everyone expects us to get well beaten so we can go out and enjoy the game without any pressure.
I think we might do OK in the home game and give them a game but whatever the result its to be enjoyed.
Should we get through :*) its time to start dreaming and if we don't hey ho we can concentrate on the league.

8.) 16 Feb 2016 10:13:03
You've got to hand it to Leicester, I've been thinking for weeks they'll drop points and fall off the pace, after watching them recently against City, Arsenal and Liverpool they've looked great and are the team to beat IMO. They're going to last the pace

We just need to focus 1 game at a time, I think you said that the other day YC and I agree, let's not get carried away just yet as there is going to be some more twists and turns there always is.

But in answer to your question G62, Which is a good question. I would feel a little disappointed now if we finished 4th. I know I shouldn't as we have done fantastic. If someone offered 4th place at the start of the season I'd bite your hand off.

9.) 16 Feb 2016 15:16:37
I still think finishing in a Champions League place would represent an excellent season. I just hope if we don't win it that we come either 2nd or 3rd as 4th place means a potentially tricky qualifying round, three down to Young Boys after 20 minutes springs to mind! There is also the spectre of Chelski winning the CL this season, I know it seems unlikely but we all thought the same last time we finished fourth, then they somehow defeated Barcelona then Bayern on their own patch in the Final.

10.) 16 Feb 2016 17:11:42
G62, your fans may see it as a no lose situation. But I'd bet the players want to knock Barcelona out.

Irrespective it's more competitive games in which players can and will pick up knocks that build over the length of a season. An extra complication Leicester will not be carrying this season. You do have some key players seemingly ready to return for the run in which will help you.

For us Top 4 was a wish at the start of the season, I dream of the title now - but expect Top 3 and will be singing my lungs out in the hope we can defy logic. Not that the is much logic in this game we all love.

11.) 16 Feb 2016 19:57:18
I'm pretty sure the top 4 as it stands will be the top 4 in May and each of the 4 could easily finish 1st 2nd 3rd of 4th, it would a very brave man who put a months wages on who finishes where right now.

09 Feb 2016 22:00:22
Kane and £10 million for Giroud would you take that deal?

gunner62

1.) 10 Feb 2016 08:00:03
Don't be silly Gunner. That's like Ozil for Carroll 😜

2.) 10 Feb 2016 11:46:47
You must be on Crack gunner62.

{Ed025's Note - i will not tolerate abuse of crack addicts on this forum.. :)

3.) 10 Feb 2016 15:19:26
Thanks ed for sticking up for people like me it's a terrible addiction.

04 Jan 2016 09:02:43
You've got a very exciting young team right now that if built on could make you serious challangers in the years ahead but! You have a new stadium in the pipe line that's going to need paying for which may or may not lead to letting some players go to raise funds plus it will almost certainly lead to restrictions of buying power to add the pieces you might need along the way, I'm not saying this will happen maybe you will do things differently to us and spread the cost over a longer period or whatever but you know the 4th place trophy?
Theres a real chance you might come to know it well :-)

gunner62

1.) 04 Jan 2016 10:35:36
This will definitely happen G62, just like it did at Arsenal.

The TV money will help a lot though (end of next season) .

2.) 04 Jan 2016 11:04:33
I wouldn't say definitely Dags as there are different ways to go than the one we chose to go down, not necessarily better or worse ways just different ones.
It will be interesting to see how you boys go about balancing the finances and the football during this period, if you can win the title while paying for the stadium at the same time questions will definitely be asked in our house :-)

3.) 04 Jan 2016 21:15:39
Dagenham, I would imagine Levy would finance the stadium in a shrewder way than Dein did.

4.) 05 Jan 2016 06:19:53
Ok you hope so.

5.) 05 Jan 2016 06:21:30
Like when he got a great price for a player but shrewdly brought crap players lol.

6.) 05 Jan 2016 14:23:34
What like Park Chu Young, Bendtner, Chamakh.?

7.) 05 Jan 2016 15:37:45
They didn't cost over £100m! Soldado, chiriches, Paulinho, capoue, stambouli, etc! Lol.

8.) 05 Jan 2016 17:14:39
Neither did the players you list! How much did you get back for them?

9.) 05 Jan 2016 20:49:18
Wodbod, I'm going to ask you a question and I'm hoping you can respond as an adult.
Here goes, why are all your comments so pathetic and childish? They're not funny, well articulated or even slightly well constructed. Are you actually completely unable to hold together a decent conversation about football or do you just choose to be this way? I only ask because the visits we get from our regular Arsenal fans (Dags and g62) are atleast constructive conversations and add abit of friendly banter which makes the site better for all involved whereas your comments are at very best an attempt at point scoring and I'm just interested to understand why?

I'm not holding high hopes for your response but I'm hoping maybe you may surprise me with a well thought out answer. Just to be clear this isn't a dig at you or Arsenal and would respect the same in return. Thanks in advance.

10.) 05 Jan 2016 21:12:43
Spurs 85 I think wodbod loves the spurs as he is always on this site and he never comments on the arsenal site and he has never been to the emirates to watch arsenal play. As the song goes he's one of our own the dipstick wodbod he's one of our own.

11.) 06 Jan 2016 12:20:38
Wodbod - To name just a few.

Andrey Arshavin
Junichi Inamoto
Richard Wright
Francis Jeffers
Oleg Luzhny

If your a real football fan, ALL managers make the unfortunate mistake of purchasing players they think are good at the time and can handle the fast pace of the premiership. But sometimes this doesn't always work out the way they'd hoped. This is called LIFE it happens when you recruit personnel, when you leave school and start working for an employer - Although I think sweeping the roads maybe your level due to the comments I've read previously. you will understand this, or actually you may not. TRIGGER.

12.) 06 Jan 2016 13:46:28
Sweeping the roads is to clever for wodbod I think he works cleaning the sewers he should fitin well with all the rats.

13.) 06 Jan 2016 19:15:17
Where's Wodbod?

14.) 07 Jan 2016 07:42:38
Dr thfc, those players listed didn't cost over £100m and we won thropies with them in our squad, Spurs 1985, it's because some of the posts on here are so over the top Spurs fans need a reality check, you can't deny that, like "Spurs the next Man U" "biggest club in London"!

15.) 07 Jan 2016 09:24:35
Yes Wodbod one of our members is typically very biased but the majority aren't but your comments still don't go with the majority, imagine we reacted like you do to the other Arsenal visitors based solely on the way you behave. Really didn't answer the question did you but appreciate you coming back with some kind of response.

16.) 07 Jan 2016 10:49:13
How's that not answering your question? if Spurs fans need a reality check you need to talk to them childish and they will understand is that better? And it's on the banter page not the rumour page or haven't you worked that out yet?

17.) 07 Jan 2016 12:02:27
I've spoken to Raver myself and it's clear he will not stay down to earth so we just accept him for who he his and actually laugh at many of his comments ourselves.

Oh wow by that last comment you have finally answered my question, you are unable to hold down a decent conversation about football. That's all you needed to say!

18.) 07 Jan 2016 15:11:59
1985, he is what he is. Just try and understand that it's a mentality and intellectual issue. He try's but he's just not taken that step to being a teenager yet.

19.) 07 Jan 2016 16:38:20
What do you want to know about football then 1985?

All teams hit bad patches but when a side that has been pretty consistent suddenly can't put two decent performances and results together over a prolonged period something is wrong somewhere.
I thought last season was just a world cup hangover and you'd bounce this season but that looks more and more unlikely each and every week now.

Another one who gave Charm School a complete miss and d3cided to go straight to the top of An Angry Troll Class instead.

I can only assume your struggling with lock down and having so few pensioners to push off pavements.

Please don't throw in the towel, that's a permanent solution to what is definitely temporary problem, no matter what it is.

Poch and Levy had reached the end of the road together, but in their time together they achieved 4 consecutive top 4 finishes which is something I've never seen from a Spurs side ever, in the end it was inevitable Poch would go, the whys who knows.
Jose was a huge huge gamble taken on not because of what or who he was but simply because of what and who he once was.
Much like giving Robbie Williams a mega recording deal in the hope he could once again become British Music's top artist, naive to say the least.
