Just a quick one, have Tottenham looked at Rondon as a possible back up to Kane. With what's going on at Newcastle at the moment could we possibly get a cheap deal?

{Ed001's Note - he is not a Newcastle player.}

Agree0 8Disagree

08 Jul 2019 08:46:45
Newcastle loaned him from West Brom and yes for £10m he is anyone’s I imagine.

Not a player we need at Spurs as we are moving on to bigger things.

I would definitely sign Ceballos now mind you as he is world class. Also Ryan Sessegnon and forget about his brother. Get Toby to sign a new 4 year contract and sell Eriksen to Real Madrid if he really wants to go and Ceballos wants to come.

Omni would be nice if we can get him and also cheap and hungry enough to challenge Kane and wait for his chance.

10 Jul 2019 22:15:15
What about ake oracle, he was definitely signing in January right?

11 Jul 2019 08:08:41
Be careful little man, I think you will find that Toby is still in the squad. Watch when he leaves shortly, then write again!

02 Jul 2019 15:33:27
Ndombele done!

Hopefully the new dembele along side winks

My concern is that we are not been linked with a single right back when with aurier and trippier we definately need an upgrade!

This for me is a priority but I guess it is dependant on trippier or aurier or both leaving.

Intrigued to see what happens next.

A RB would seem critical, move Eriksen out before next summer and replace, probably a replacement for Toby, I’d prefer to keep but that doesn’t seem likely based on media speculation. Oh and a quality backup for Harry.

If Ndombele is all we do it won’t be enough to catch up with City and Liverpool.

03 Jul 2019 20:33:10
Yellow, I said a while ago I guarantee you we are after Lo Celso. Just believe me.

03 Jul 2019 20:59:50
Guvnor,

from what I’ve seen Betis is making Lo Celso look expensive and our attention seems to be turning towards Ceballos with a loan to buy or buy back option. Plus if we get to offload Eriksen to Madrid as well, could provide us with some beneficial transfer budget flexibility.

03 Jul 2019 22:40:50
No transfer is 100 percent, its a complex affair.

Of course, Betis are trying to get as much as they can. They won't bully Levy that's for sure.

I'm not too sure about this Ceballos talk, that's not to say we aren't interested it's just I haven't been told that. What I do know is that Poch wants Lo Celso.

28 Jun 2019 09:19:56
Reading this morning that the Ndombele deal is NOT done. Lyon are holding out for more money.

Agree0 0Disagree

28 Jun 2019 13:27:29
The media seems a little scattered, one day a deal is agreed at 65m, the next Lyon rejected 40-45m and we haven’t gone back. Until we seem them in the shirt it’s difficult to believe anything.

. I’m always reminded of the recent mess that was Willian. With Levy doing the negotiations it’s always possible another team can step in at the last minute and walk away with our targets.

28 Jun 2019 16:16:21
Aulas does this all the time. I guarantee you a deal is agreed, i'm thinking its just the add ons or bonuses holding it up a littlewhich is why I said it will be slightly more than the 65m.

29 Jun 2019 09:05:54
Could be waiting for the new financial year. Some clubs new financial year is July. I’m completely guessing though!

29 Jun 2019 16:34:38
I think we could be in four a treat on Monday! ;)

30 Jun 2019 22:28:30
Lol, name them, all four of them.

01 Jul 2019 02:51:42
Reports late tonight saying fee is agreed for Ndombele.

02 Jul 2019 02:42:25
Ndombele medical rumored for Tuesday.

02 Jul 2019 09:10:53
Out of internet for few days. Didn't realise medical was 2 parter, so announce today instead of yesterday. So JC and Ndom today, don't know why the delay with Sess bros.

25 Jun 2019 18:54:36
I'm hearing we have agreed a price with Betis for Lo Celso.

Agree6 0Disagree

25 Jun 2019 20:57:19
Hahahaha, wtf. Don't know why I wrote that. I was thinking of Lo Celso when I wrote ot but I meant to say Ndombele of Lyon. Lots of reports now backing me up.

25 Jun 2019 20:58:07
Been smoking too much weed lol.

25 Jun 2019 22:26:50
Now you're talking to yourself.

26 Jun 2019 00:17:51
Ndombele for 65m appears to be a major upgrade to our starting xi. Can’t fault Levy and Poch if they get that over the line in the next few days.

26 Jun 2019 06:44:22
Good signing there boys. ndombele looks a decent player ( from what I’ve seen)

26 Jun 2019 08:37:29
Yellow, that's the policy. If we can get the players we want for the first team as an upgrade then big money will be spent and we'll carry on trying to snap up young prospects eg Sessegnon, Clarke too.

I think it will be a bit more than 65m but nevertheless it's a bargain imo. He's exactly what we needed.

26 Jun 2019 11:19:32
Guvnor - if we’re to try and close the gap on City and Liverpool it’s the only policy we can have. Hopefully put some distance between ourselves and the other usual suspects while we’re at it.

26 Jun 2019 14:21:26
Could be a great signing or expensive flop, we will see.

26 Jun 2019 19:27:40
Either way Wodbod at £65 million Ndombele transfer is greater then the while Arsenal transfer budget for the summer oh how times have changed.

26 Jun 2019 20:05:28
The guvenor is the top man for transfer gossip, he said we would b3 signing ndombele and it's looking like its happend, while wodbod said we had signed segsson weeks ago 🤣😂🤣.

27 Jun 2019 15:00:05
You have raver signed segsson, my friend works for his agent, markymark I guess you actually believe what the papers say then 😂🤣😂.

27 Jun 2019 17:08:10
Wodbod I rather listen to what the papers say than the tripe you spout in here.

27 Jun 2019 19:18:32
“In here” 😂🤣😂🤣.

27 Jun 2019 21:07:14
Oddbod,

what price did we sign Sessegnon for - cause almost to a person the media suggest there is still a 20m discrepancy in what we have bid and what Fulham want?

28 Jun 2019 16:56:12
He didn’t tell me how much, he said you have brought Sessegnon and Man Utd have brought Crystal Palace defender that was weeks ago, haven’t spoke to him since then as to why it hasn’t been shown as done yet.

25 Jun 2019 11:44:57
Hey Ed! Could we get an update about Tottenham's transfer window? Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - Steven Sessegnon (RB/CB) another HG player and potentially part of a package with his brother
Nelson Semedo (RB) looks to be too expensive for Spurs at €50M
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) won't be happening
Max Aarons (RB) seen as a viable option - I am not so sure

Layvin Kurzawa (LB)
Nicolas Tagliafico (LB) no chance
Lucas Digne (LB) very unlikely

Joachim Andersen (CB) long term Spurs interest remains - Sampdoria may be open to a sale but want €40M which strikes Spurs and Milan as very high - player wants Milan but their problems are worsening
Diego Llorente (CB) has been watched by Marseille, Spurs, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, West Ham, Fulham and Sevilla since joining Real Sociadad in the summer - Spurs could be tempted as they expet TA to leave
Nathan Ake (CB)
Michael Keane (CB) emerging but very unlikely option
Matthias Ginter (CB) I am not aware of interest from Liverpool - enquiries from two EPL sides (Spurs and Arsenal) came to nothing. If he did move he would want to be a started which will cut out Bayern, as will him having no interest in being used as cover for multiple positions. He would be expensive and is apparently happy.

Declan Rice (DM/CB) not going to happen
Julian Weigl (DM) not going to happen
Amadou Diawara (DM/CM) a natural replacement for Mousa Dembele but I would doubt Napoli will want to sell and it is hard to see why the player would want to move
Sander Berge (DM/CM) sooner or later someone will snap him up
Stanislav Lobotka (DM/CM) – could be priced out of a move
Ivan Lepinjica (DM) would be one for the future - don't lose sight of him

Soualiho Meite (CM) a realistic long term replacement for Mousa Dembele
Carlos Soler (CM/RM) a Plan B - another that could happen
Eljif Elmas (CM) another contender for happening
Dani Ceballos (CM) would not be cheap but he wants to kick start his career but Spurs will step back if it is going to be an auction
Gedson Fernandes (CM) very, very unlikely
Giovani Lo Celso (CM) after Real Betis signed him and are looking to treble their money (in reality they might be able to double it) but they are wanting €75M (where they are willing to come down to from the full €100M asking price). The interest is down to Spurs alone at the moment in terms of discussions and bids and they are apart in price by €40M - so both parties will need to shift a bit if something is to happen. Payment terms may also be an issue.
Youri Tielemans (CM) I would strike him from the list
Tanguy Ndombele (DM/CM) expensive which is putting clubs off
James Maddison (CM) not going to happen
Victor Camarasa (CM) a cheap option
Adrien Rabiot (CM) strike him from the list - moving elsewhere

Donny van de Beek (AM) a financially viable option but Spurs are not confident that he would want to make the move after showing a preference for another English side and the player will look to stay in Amsterdam for another year unless the club agree to sell him - due to a fear he could end up sitting on the bench elsewhere - expect interest from Barcelona next summer - a maybe at best
Andre Gomes (AM) moving elsewhere - strike him from the list
Bruno Fernandes (AM) - strike him from the list Spurs have called Sporting "amateurs" in the deal over Fernandes and stepped back
Nabil Fekir (AM) watched again - all about balancing funds and considering risks - very unlikely
David Brooks (AM) not first choice, but has been watched - won't happen
Hakim Ziyech (RW/AM) if Christian Eriksen leaves - but still seems unlikely to me
Julian Draxler (AM/LW) is also being offered around - Schalke (interested at the right price), Arsenal, Spurs, RBL and I suspect Liverpool - Player wants to stay in Paris he says

Suso (RW) home grown but looking unlikely to leave as it stands right now
Douglas Costa (RW) €80M asking price will take Spurs out of the market

Ryan Sessegnon (LWB/LW) Spurs will push to complete the deal and to probably look to include his brother in a package - this should happen
Steven Bergwijn (LW/AM) Liverpool, Ajax, Tottenham, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan have been watching - Inter have held discussions, but Liverpool can be discounted
Ryan Fraser (LW) has the advantage of being home grown - but I would strike him from the list
Jota (LW) Benfica don't want to sell as they see his value rising next year
Jack Clarke (LW) another home grown player and another which is achievable
Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld (LW/RW) right footed left winger - would be cover for Mane
Said Benrahma (LW/S/F) Brentford are looking for £25M with Aston Villa, Palace, Spurs and West Ham showing an interest - the question will remain can he step up
Keita Balde (LW) has been offered to Spurs and Wolves but they may not see value in the €40M asking price
Marco Asensio (LW) wanted by MP but the club unwilling to match price - could ask if Real Madrid decide to push for Eriksen - won't happen
Yannick Carrasco (LW) Milan enquired after the overall cost of the player and the wage request completely blew them out of the water - will be offered to other sides - Napoli in case a player were to leave, and Inter but they have other targets - he is now being offered around in England (certainly Arsenal and Spurs) - won't happen

Maxi Gomez (S) I would strike him from the list
Daniel Sturridge (S) if he can stay fit between January and the end of the season, can be seen as a possible Llorente replacement
Aleksandar Mitrovic (S) won't happen
Max Kruse (S) heading elsewhere
Patrick Cutrone (S) Milan want €35M and another side is working on a deal - much is driven by a June 30 deadline

Thanks a ton Ed!

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

25 Jun 2019 20:25:53
Thanks Ed2.

22 Jun 2019 20:01:07
Apparently it's all but done the first signing looks to be Yago de Santiago . yep me neither, another highly rated 16 yo prospect that will show up in the first team in 3-4 years time, maybe.

Agree0 0Disagree

23 Jun 2019 09:21:26
I thought we’d already already made our first signing,17 year old kion etere from notts county. Again another one we won’t see for 3-4 years.

23 Jun 2019 12:36:09
You’re right our big 200k signing had slipped my memory.

24 Jun 2019 21:01:09
The raver is dusting down his puma kings as daniel levy is keen on this soccer pin up.

25 Jun 2019 01:37:29
At the rate we’re signing upgrades to the first team we might need you to replace Jansen.

14 Jun 2019 13:24:15
Spurs are very close to getting Lo Celso off Betis.

Just as Ellis Dee broke the news last year Tanguy Ndombele is wanted. Ndombele wants the move, Levy and Aulas are locking horns at this very minute.

Expect both of those deals to go through along with Ryan Sessegnon.

Ben Chilwell would be first choice if Rose was to leave, but Leicester would be a nightmare to deal with and that would be the same for Maguire who would be our primary target of a CB but Alderweireld is staying anyway. Pochettino also likes Digne of Everton. Vertonghen is set to sign a new contract also. Lewis Dunk has also been looked at. Atal and Aaron's of Norwich have also been looked at if Trippier, Aurier leave.

Jack Clarke of Leeds has also been heavily scouted as has Bowen of Hull and Brooks of Bournemouth.

Meanwhile Arsenal are struggling to tempt Fraser of Bournemouth with the lure of Thursday night football LOL.

14 Jun 2019 15:37:38
Excellent information as usual mate, I won't bother with sly sports news or talkrubbish for my football rumours just my good old sidekick Ellis😎.

14 Jun 2019 16:40:29
Lo Celso - except for the fact Manchester United topped our offer by more than a few million

No way we will get the 2 midfielders and consider paying Leicester what they want for Maguire - simply not all happening even if we can find a buyer for Eriksen and Toby leaves.

14 Jun 2019 23:43:13
As if you will be signing all 3, I’ve already told you weeks ago the Sessegnon deal has been done.

14 Jun 2019 23:45:33
How are Arsenal struggling to tempt Fraser, spursguvnor?

14 Jun 2019 22:45:20
Raver remember when I told you lot about Ndombele before most of you even knew who he. I was told we even agreed a fee but Aulas pulled the plug.

Yellow, read my post again.

15 Jun 2019 13:23:07
Remember when you said spurs would win a cup last season?

15 Jun 2019 17:03:22
Remember when I said it's happening again? Hahahahaha 💋.

15 Jun 2019 17:06:40
Remember when you said Arsenal will definitely finish top 4😁.

15 Jun 2019 23:31:06
Only reason we didn’t was the spurs game when you got lucky to get a point, linesman didn’t do his job properly Arsenal did, how was I to know that raver?

16 Jun 2019 08:39:22
I think the reason you finished below us was because again you got less points than us! Your arguements are always based on ifs, well here is one for you Oddbod, IF my Auntie had balls she would be my Uncle!

16 Jun 2019 15:48:20
Never heard that before.

16 Jun 2019 15:51:22
Mwheels you need to read my post again, not once did I put IF, you are reading what you want to hear and not want I put, well here is one for you mwheels, read it properly!

16 Jun 2019 23:25:51
Wodbod,
You’re saying that the final league positions, 38 total games for each team, are a reflection of a single incident in a single game?

Help me out, which single incident resulted in City winning the title?

Perhaps you’d like to look at the other 37 games you played and how many times one of your players made a mistake that resulted in a goal being conceded or a chance being missed (a particular penalty comes to mind) , I’m sure you’ll find more than one incident that had nothing to do with games against us.

17 Jun 2019 08:04:10
Yellow, don’t rise to him. He’s the biggest plank on this site.
If he thinks Arsenal v Spurs decided the final places to says it all.

He clearly doesn’t understand.

17 Jun 2019 10:15:20
I’m talking about head to head games between rivals which was the difference, that particular penalty you are talking about should of been re-taken as vertonghen was near the ball when PEA took the penalty that’s why vertonghen got to the line and stopped the rebound it was more than one incident that officials got wrong in your favour, im not talking about IF’S I’m talking FACTS.

17 Jun 2019 10:19:24
With VAR in use on that game the result would of been different or are you denying that? With head to head games which is what we are talking about between 2 rival clubs, like I stated before Arsenal did there job properly, the officials didn’t.

17 Jun 2019 11:13:48
I can’t imagine a spurs fan saying we did our job properly and finished 5th.

But if that’s your new trophy go for it.

17 Jun 2019 13:08:43
It was your away record that ruined your season, Never mind head to head games. Your run of results we're abysmal, Ours wasn't much better . But you had a chance and blew it.

Burnley - Lost
Leicester - Lost
Wolves - Lost
Palace - Lost
Everton - Lost

Like I said to you earlier in the season, You we're lucky in a lot of games which I watched.

If you want to believe it was the penalty that should have been re-taken, Then you clearly are a deluded individual who knows F'ALL.

17 Jun 2019 23:37:02
Drthfc you do realise there is a rule called Infringement, In case of an infringement of the laws of the game during a penalty kick, most commonly entering the penalty area illegally. Now you know the rules

Yellow card I was responding to ravers post originally somehow you have lost track of that

Drthfc you tell yellow card not to rise to me and I’m the biggest plank on this site, and then you post an essay to try and prove me wrong in which you failed spectacularly and have just learned a rule you didn’t know about 😂🤣😂🤣.

19 Jun 2019 00:22:47
Oddbod, it happened again.

19 Jun 2019 11:23:47
I know, another trophyless season for spurs happened again 🤣.

07 Jun 2019 11:50:26
That we've be linked with every midfield player of note this window is not a surprise.

But I'm surprised/ worried that we don't seem to be linked with any right backs that I've seen. Anyone have any thoughts or info, given that it appears we've been open to move Trippier on.

{Ed002's Note - Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) won't be happening
Max Aarons (RB) seen as a viable option
Steven Sessegnon (RB/CB) another HG
Nelson Semedo (RB)}

Agree2 0Disagree

07 Jun 2019 12:38:11
Thanks Ed002.

07 Jun 2019 14:16:55
Ed2, do you still see Ndombele as unlikely or has something changed? Media coverage seems to be increasing some on that one.

{Ed002's Note - Other clubs have stepped back but talks have been taking place with another side.}

07 Jun 2019 20:12:08
Is that side PSG Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

11 Jun 2019 11:53:07
About time Kyle Walker Peters was given a run in the team. Aurier is a good back up and Sessegnon will be able to watch and wait as his brother dominates the other side of the Spurs pitch.

11 Jun 2019 12:27:56
KWP is a long way from a top class RB, he has too many lapses of concentration for my liking. And Sessegnon didn’t exactly shine at Fulham in the PL. If that’s to be our wide defense next season we will be in trouble.

11 Jun 2019 17:08:09
Aurier is a liability, KWP isn’t premiership standard, and Sessegnon is a championship player. If we’re looking to push on we need to raise the bar. We need players that are going to walk into the 1st eleven. Have players like Deli on the bench (this is the kick up the arse he’ll need)

We need pace down both flanks. Along with passion, desire and work rate.

14 Jun 2019 12:58:25
This Sessegnon is a championship player nonsense needs to stop. He's 19 years old, has been a first team player for three seasons, played in one of the worst teams in the league, for three different managers and still managed 2 goals and 6 assists. Was Harry Kane a premier league player at 19? Was Heung-Min Son?

14 Jun 2019 17:05:03
At 19 Sessegnon is not ready to be starting full back for a top 4/ 6 team in the PL.

04 Jun 2019 13:11:31
So our first signings this season will be seagsson and Clarke 2 championship players who will not take us to the next level, I give up with the dross signings or non signings every summer, I might ask a few boys down the dog and gun do they fancy a trial for spurs as I know levy will be interested as they will come cheap, a few crates of lager and fags and they are yours.

Agree3 0Disagree

04 Jun 2019 19:54:59
If that’s going to be it, which I doubt, Poch and half the team will be gone before September and leave Levy to tidy up his mess. Be the best facilities in the Championship in 20/ 21.

04 Jun 2019 21:40:25
Raver, you seem to be a glass istotally empty type of guy!

05 Jun 2019 11:16:12
I'm a Jekyll and Hyde type of character mate, when spurs are playing and letting me down I'm a manic depressive, when I'm in stringfellows off my nut with birds chasing me I'm happy as Larry😁.

05 Jun 2019 12:15:11
You must spend a lot of time depressed ;)

05 Jun 2019 13:19:25
Lol true yellow card, this is my happy period summer months with no spurs matches till August😎.

05 Jun 2019 19:08:36
Just our transfer non-activity to get depressed about. Hopefully Levy feels he has made you suffer enough raver, and can find the bottom of his pockets for a few quality additions.

24 May 2019 21:35:06
Hi Eds,

I have a few questions and I would be really happy if you would have time for a bit of insight.

What do you think will happen with Poch after the final? To me it seems that all the mixed messages to media are by some part just a way of getting real financial backing from Levy, but it seems quite odd because of how he has always talked so kindly of their relationship. Is it all just media game? Do you think the Juventus vacancy might appeal to him at this point?

So much talk about our interest in Ndombele, but do you see us really spending so much money to get the man? I think it's still a long shot even if we would spend the money because of the interest from elsewhere but I really think he would be a great buy. Though I doubt we have the financial muscle to suddenly spend like never before on a single player.

Any other updates of the players we're interested in.

{Ed002's Note - (a) A third party working on behalf of Juventus has tried to see if it would be possible to recruit him but my gut feeling is that Levy will block it by continuing to make outrageous financial demands - and that could upset Pochettino who will have seen all of the jobs he could be interested in pass him by as Juventus will recruit from elsewhere. (b) I would not hold your breath about Ndombele signing for Spurs.}

Agree0 1Disagree

25 May 2019 10:51:51
Thanks Ed002!

I think the squad is really close to being torn apart especially if we lose the final and certainly if Poch is allowed to leave. Eriksen will most likely be gone if not this summer then the next on a free. Alderweireld will be gone at the same timeframe.

The squad will be needing a some sort of overhaul soon and with the financial structure of the club I think it needs to be done by a sale of a big player like Eriksen to have funds to get a few decent players in.

As much I would like to see Poch and Eriksen both to stay, I totally understand why they would be wanting to move on for their own reasons. Poch has already given us way more time than most coaches nowadays do or can. And the same can be said of Eriksen.
