Ruben Nevez… any interest in him from Spurs Ed?

DR-THFC

{Ed002's Note - Ruben Neves (DM/CM) Wolves would look to get as close to €50M as they can should circumstances dictate Neves is sold, but they certainly don't want to sell and have made clear that he has a long-term contract and there have been no approaches at this time. Mr Mourinho is a huge fan and has tried to take him to three different clubs in the past - and he would, I am sure be interested in taking him to Roma but their focus right now iselsewhere. He has always been seen as an option to replace Matic at Manchester United, but they have other priorities to deal with first and preferred options - although they are not working out well so Wolves might see an offer. His agent has been actively offering him around and has spoken with Juventus who are looking to offload players but none that I would expect Wolves to be interested in. The Spurs coach would like him as an upgrade to Sissoko and Ndombele but it is likely both would need to leave as they are looking at another addition in midfield as well. Arsenal have preferred options but his agent is keen to have him move on so they cannot be discounted - although failing to sell Xhaka will likely take them out of the picture.}

H Eds,

Any news on who’s looking at Sanchez, Dier, Winks, Sissoko, and Aurier,

DR-THFC

{Ed002's Note - Davinson Sanchez (CB) is wanted by Sevilla. Harry Winks (DM/CM) Spurs have told interested sides he is not for sale but if the player were to ask to leave the coach would be supportive of that. Aston Villa moved on from Pape Sarr and made an enquiy about his availability. If West Ham were to sell Rice they might offer an option - as perhaps Manchester United might as a possible Matic replacement. He would provide an interesting option for Everton. Leicester might also be a possible destination if they were to lose Ndidi, but they have a preferred target in mind. Southampton have declared an interest. Moussa Sissoko (DM/CM) Available but no interest being shown by clubs in Europe. MLS does not appear to be an option but Chinese and Middle Eastern clubs may be interested. Serge Aurier (RB) Was a fall back option for PSG - number 4 on their list but that can be scratched. Cheap option for Milan - but he will need to be very cheap - they will walk if Spurs want to play hard ball - I would scratch it as he would be no more than cover. I am not aware of any interest in Dier (DM).

1.) 02 Aug 2021 17:06:21
Thanks Ed

No interest in Dier - That sounds about right
Levy probably has 60m price tag on him.

2.) 06 Aug 2021 19:29:48
Hi Ed, anything to share more on the incoming? There are talks about Tomiyasu, would that be something that is happening? Also, anything on Damsgaard, or other midfielders we may be looking to sign? Much appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - Mikkel Damsgaard (LW/AM) Spurs asked after a price for the player at the behest of Mr Mourinho who may have taken his interest on to Roma. Now Spurs have lost the plot rather and have made a particularly low offer. Real Madrid consider him an option at the right price if they sell Isco. Sampdoria saying Southampton and Leeds have both enquired about the availability of the player who only joined last summer. Juventus see him as a potential addition. They have told Milan that they are not open to being given their "off cuts" in exchange and want a huge cash deal - but Milan would need to sell Leao to bring him in - and they also need the money to complete the Tonali deal. Sampdoria are reluctant to sell but I suspect more clubs will be showing an interest.
Takehiro Tomiyasu (CB/RB) Spurs have expressed an interest because of his versatility and Atalanta are looking for discussions as an option to Doecki. Spurs value the player rather less than his club so work to do with others interested.}

3.) 07 Aug 2021 17:49:30
Thanks Ed, any truth to Dusan Vlahovic rumors? Are Spurs only looking to sign a striker only if Kane leaves, or would want to sign one otherwise too? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Dusan Vlahovic (S) Milan see the player as an Ibrahimovic back up and possible replacement - Spurs have the same view in respect of Kane - and Dortmund do in respect of Haaland. Roma, Juventus and Atletico Madrid offer options which would see him as a starter. Inter want the future of Lautaro Martinez and Lukaku resolved else they will also look to him and Zapata. Manchester United have had him watched. Manchester City approached Fiorentina and were told that the asking price will be set above €50M which came as a surprise and it would need to be a single cash payment but I rather doubt that would tempt them to sell now. An ex-player has recommended to player to the club as a lower cost solution to Haaland. I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool to Fiorentina but Spurs have already jumped the gun if it looks like Kane is leaving. Player wants to stay another year and Fiorentina want a lengthy contract extension. I would think he will stay another year. There is a compelling case for him to stay where he is for at least another year and perhaps sees what happens in Munich.}

4.) 08 Aug 2021 09:57:46
Thanks Ed, that sounds complicated. Any insight into who Spurs are looking at as a Kane replacement, if not Vlahovic? Also any truth to rumors around City offering Bernardo Silva or Jesus as part of offer for Kane? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - They want Vlahovic but have looked at other more versatile forwards like Marcus Thuram and Joaquin Correa, as well as traditional strikers in Sasa Kalajdzic, Alassane Plea and Matthew Hoppe.}

5.) 08 Aug 2021 12:34:05
You are awesome Ed002, do you see Spurs signing any of them this window? The media have only reported interest in Hoppe.

Also, Times and Gary Jacob are reporting that Spurs have agreed a fee with Inter for Lautaro Martinez, any truth there? It is completely out of the blue! Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I should have included Lautaro Martinez on the list. Spurs have certainly made an enquiry but I discounted it as the player would also want Champions League football - so he will need persuading. Inter had been trying to avoid selling him but they must raise funds to buy and they are looking to add Zapata to replace Lukaku and Joaquin Correa if Martinez leaves. Giacomo Raspadori is another an option. Inter may have been pushed in to a corner with offers from two sides being rejected for the impressive Martin Satriano.}

Tottenham's pursuit of a new manager is now said to be down a two-horse race between Nuno Espirito Santo and Graham Potter

If Levy names either one of these as our new manager. When things don’t work out. Levy should be sacked.
I cannot believe we aren’t going back in for Conte. Levy needs to start listening to people who understand football.

As for the new director of football. I don’t see the point. As Levy has to approve everything anyway. And let’s face it, he’s made some serious f**k ups of late.

1.) 28 Jun 2021 11:28:45
At the rate supposed candidates are falling by the wayside I’m beginning to expect The Raver to reappear and be appointed as the new manager.

2.) 30 Jun 2021 18:28:47
I’m hoping he’s waiting to appoint Mancini after the Euro’s
😂😂😂 be nice though.

3.) 30 Jun 2021 22:03:41
I thought The Raver claimed he looked like Lamela?

4.) 01 Jul 2021 08:19:09
Nope you have got our castoff manager nuno. So enjoy the boring stale football you will watch and listen to the garbage he spouts after every game. By xmas you will be singing nuno out. Why? Yes he done good at wolves, but that's it. We are wolves, when did we last do any good, any half decent manager could have done the same.

5.) 04 Jul 2021 18:17:12
Demon, so what happened to the Managers before him?

I seem to remember him getting Valencia to play very attacking, so maybe he just adapts to the squad.

6.) 11 Jul 2021 19:51:06
Nuno gets appointed and The Raver reappears . I’m telling you, he doesn’t look anything like Lamela.

06 May 2021 17:26:51
Mouriho, is looking to take Lamela and Moura to Roma.

Please, please.

No wonder he got sacked.

DR-THFC

1.) 10 May 2021 20:56:27
Hopefully he'll take Sissoko, Aurier, Davis, Sanchez, Dier, and Doherty aswell.

26 Jan 2021 18:20:22
I see the PSG Deli Ali deal is not with an option to buy.

I wonder if that’s because Levy wants to see how Jose finishes this season.

1.) 26 Nov 2021 15:46:06
I told you on Sunday not to get carried away with beating Leeds. This squad is the poorest we have had in 20 years, so many ordinary players, it's going to take a minimum of 2 transfer windows to clear the dead wood and buy something better.

2.) 26 Nov 2021 16:02:02
I wasn’t getting carried away at all mate.

Read my previous posts long before Conte arrived
We needed a clear out after the champions league final.

Deli Ali - pony - one season wonder. I’ve been saying that for 2 years.
Sanchez- absolutely diabolical has been since we signed him.
Ndombele. - had his chance now. Get rid… useless man.
Le Celso. Doesn’t cut it. Powder puff…

In fact we should get rid of most of our scouts as none of them have an eye for a player that’s clearly evident.

In addition all the above are Levy signings. I’m assuming Conte and Paratici will tell him stay out of the signings now or they’ll be off.

3.) 26 Nov 2021 17:52:04
Add Doherty and Davies to your list and I agree with everything you have just said!
Winks possibly too!

4.) 26 Nov 2021 18:36:31
Totally agree mwheels. Move them on mate.

5.) 26 Nov 2021 20:54:13
Send them down to the dog and gun we are looking for water boys and orange cutters.

04 Nov 2021 17:19:48
raver, mwheels, yellow, guvnor - Lads.

Surely we’re all looking forward to tonight’s game now Conte’s in the dugout.

I bet we see some running about tonight.
I recon we’ll win about 15-0.

Ha ha ha.

Be a right embarrassment if we get beat.

DR-THFC

1.) 04 Nov 2021 17:45:40
You got to think the players will at least make more effort than they have been doing of late, they’re not as bad as the performances have been.

2.) 04 Nov 2021 21:59:54
They aren't as bad. but they aren't far from it. We still have no proper midfield, and defensively appalling. Reguilon will never be able to pass and I'm not sure how 'Royal' Emerson really is, they are both pretty dreadful defensively! Nothing will be sorted until Conte has had a couple of windows, and that's assuming Levy backs him.

3.) 04 Nov 2021 23:51:55
I was in the pub where I was with 2 kinky girls from Stevenage, when I texted my brother at 3 nil up with contes at the wheel lol nearly skid mark time on the ravers y fronts.

02 Nov 2021 12:26:21
I can’t believe we’ve managed to pull this one off.
Hopefully Antonio will bring some class players in come January.
I’m not so sure Dele Ali is his type of player.
Cheisa is being mentioned for Jan also the Florentina forward.

DR-THFC

1.) 02 Nov 2021 14:52:49
Finally this club might go to the next level with Antonio conte, especially when he clears out the deadwood and brings in top talent players from Europe,

2.) 02 Nov 2021 16:50:49
Conte’s idea of the deadwood will be a little different to the fans, Harry Redknapp and Big Sam would struggle to ship most of the squad out. Who was the last manager to go into such an underachieving Club that hasn’t won their domestic League for sixty years and be expected to turn their fortunes around in eighteen months? Looks like Conte and/ or his new employers don’t really want to commit themselves.

3.) 03 Nov 2021 20:00:14
18 months with an option to extend. I don’t see an issue with that.
I’m sure if he wins something this year Spurs will take the option to extend.

If Conte is assured further funds in the near future to enhance the squad I’m sure he stay. If Levy starts his normal antics on transfers he’ll be off… No doubt.

01 Nov 2021 10:59:38
Conte In London. Surely it has to happen now.

Fingers crossed ?
If we do appoint him. There’s some players there that better look out….

1.) 01 Nov 2021 13:25:48
The magic roundabout comes to mind.

2.) 01 Nov 2021 12:31:33
Hi Ed2
Are Spurs in talks with Conte?
Do you think it will work out for
A) him actually taking the job?
B) him lasting there for long with Levy still being at the club?

Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - Yes I understand there have been discussions.
(a) Perhaps - he will want guarantees and can be a difficult and complex chap.
(b) I am not sure he will.

3.) 01 Nov 2021 15:54:33
Wouldn't surprise me we end up with Steve Bruce as he would be up the chuckle Brothers street.

4.) 01 Nov 2021 17:00:32
Or going on recent results. The chuckle brothers would appoint the Norwich manger… ???.

5.) 01 Nov 2021 21:44:47
Love it DR ???.

We seem to have a good squad now with competition for places all over the pitch . Let’s just hope we can stay relatively injury free.

I’m still not convinced with Dier at CB. Maybe try Ben Davies as left side of the 3 CB’s. To your point Chalkie you’re right I think a top quality CB should be our next point of call.

I just hope we get 3 points tomorrow, a clean sheet would be nice.

I thought it was Mourinho who got rid of Sturridge at Chelsea. I maybe wrong.

I’d like to see a bid for Danny Ings. Maybe try and fit him and Kane together in the same line up. He wouldn’t want to be a bit part player.

DR-THFC

{Ed002's Note - Sturridge left of his own accord.}

Or a blinder of a half time team talk.

Mwheels you need to cut them a little slack mate, there’s no easy game in the premiership. I wouldn’t say Leeds are a woeful team at all.

Conte is obviously working on fitness levels. Team building, togetherness, confidence, which have all been missing since the champions league defeat.
You can see by the way Conte reacts on the touch line he won’t take anyone who’s not running for the team. I think we’ve got a winner in this manager

However there will be a few of them upset come January as he will bring in additions. You never know Harry Kane could find himself on the bench.
