Apparently we have bid 18m for Ben chilwell . not sure why we need a 3rd left back.

05 Jun 2016 11:17:25
Hi eds

Trying to decider what paper talk is rubbish and what isn't and wondered if you had any further insight?

Not itk at all but reading across various sites I get the opinion we are going to go for

Embolo/ janssen

I know we are linked with lacazette but can't see us spending that money if the above 3 are realistic targets.

{Ed002's Note - Spurs, Milan and Fiorentina have all enquired about the availability of Palermo's Franco Vazquez and all have been told that he will be allowed to leave in the summer - but at a price. And that is where there is a sticking point - the price is seen by all three clubs as very high and it is high because there is an English side interested. A deal can be done but Palermo would need to reduce the asking price.

Spurs do remain keen on Wanyama and may return with another offer and the lure of the Champions League. Arsenal's interest has waned as they have a preferred target in mind.

Basel's Breel Embolo remains a target of Borussia Moenchengladbach, Spurs, Inter, Juventus, Red Bull Leipzig and West Ham. Basel are aware of interest from all of these clubs in addition to Wolfsburg who have discussed a transfer with the club and have had a good offer rejected. Inter will push to agree a summer move when they can raise the funds. Barcelona, Everton, Real Madrid, Southampton, Liverpool and Leicester have also had the player watched but not declared any interest just yet.

AZ's Vincent Janssen has attracted a great deal of attention with his performances this season with van Gaal having scouts watch him on several occasions and Schalke 04 doing the same. Everton have approached AZ regarding Janssen knowing that they will almost certainly lose Lukaku in the summer. PSG and Arsenal also both have a declared interest. The player knows that if he does move he needs to be playing every week or his potential international career could hit a stumbling block. I am not aware of any Spurs interest in Janssen.}

1.) 05 Jun 2016 14:06:00
Thanks ed002 I think our priorities are strengthening three areas. Striker winger and box to box midfielder we saw this season that when dembele was out we were weak.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

2.) 05 Jun 2016 18:27:59
A Belgian paper is reporting that we are favorites to sign Batshuayi. Any truth to that?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

12 Feb 2016 09:36:34
Hi Eds

A few outlets are suggesting we are in advanced talks with Michy Batshuayi about a summer deal - not sure what "Advanced Talks" mean but is this just paper drivel trying to fill the headlines now january has gone or could it be true.

In my opinion he would be great at the lane and an excellent alternative to Kane.

{Ed001's Note - he might well leave in the summer, but there are no ongoing talks right now regarding him that I am aware of.}

1.) 12 Feb 2016 11:03:22
Thanks ed001 just the same old media bs. I think its going to be hard for us to sign a big name striker when they are going to be backup - that's why I can't understand why we didn't do the dembele deal.

2.) 20 Feb 2016 08:56:50
Totally agree, I think we will have to look at a younger striker to learn with Harry!

31 Jan 2016 18:55:19
Apparently the dembele deal is off as we don't want to loan him back.

This makes sense but I just hope we don't end up with no one in this window as back up to Harry. Why does it all have to be last minute.

1.) 31 Jan 2016 20:29:45
Do any of the eds have any more info.

Dembele could it still happen?
Ben yeder - is it viable we may bid
Berahinho - I can't see us going higher than the 21 mil Newcastle are offering so guess he is out
Any others?

{Ed033's Note - There's 1 day left. That's all you need to know and wait patiently for

2.) 31 Jan 2016 21:09:57
As a spurs fan we wait patiently all window waiting for the inevitability of deadline day .

What will happen tomorrow is

We will get linked with Tom dick and Harry

We will put a late bid in that doesn't match what the club is asking

We will be told we tried but time wasn't on our side

Same bull different window

I agree we need to sign the right players but 1 injury to Kane and we are screwed.

3.) 01 Feb 2016 00:07:14
Ed033 - if we wanted to wait for deadline day to have finished to look back with perfect accuracy over who we may or may not have signed, then why are we on a transfer rumours website?

Waiting is the exact opposite of the point of this website's existence.

{Ed033's Note - This web site is for people to talk about all things Tottenham Hotspur. An ed giving info is a bonus. Most of the posts are people talking to each other and those posts are on the spurs banter page

4.) 01 Feb 2016 18:27:03
Agree with northern spur we have all been here before and been mugged raced around the closed humber bridge to get in front of the box, to watch the mighty spurs buy a much needed striker and guess what at 10.55 I will regret staying up and be annoyed I believed in the hype . Then Harry Kane will get injured and the normal spurs luck will come in to play, and what could of been will become disappointment and it will be well spurs should of signed a striker sound familiar sky that desperate for transfers there in the endsliegh league its that exciting . come on you spurs.

19 Jan 2016 11:28:33
Apparently we have had a bid rejected for Jackson Martinez.

Doesnt fit in with our youthful team but is a great goal scorer.

To be honest i'd prefer someone already playing in the prem to settle quicker. either Moussa Dembele or Berahino.

1.) 19 Jan 2016 14:39:29
'To be honest i'd prefer someone already playing in the prem to settle quicker. either Moussa Dembele or Berahino. ' :

You do know Moussa Dembele of Fulham Plays in the Championship?

2.) 19 Jan 2016 14:51:07
I meant in england.

3.) 19 Jan 2016 15:28:13
I would also prefer somebody plying their trade in England, but at this time of the year it is difficult to get a Team to part with their better Players, especially if they are in a Relegation battle or a Promotion race. So we can probably rule out a move for Wissam Ben Yedder and Moussa Jr, and a Player who I am personally a great admirer of, Timo Werner of Stuttgart.

We would be better off looking at playerrs, abroad, who are out favour, as we only really Need to add strength in depth in the front and inbetween the sticks. Anything else can wait until the summer when we, (crossing my fingers) , qualify for the CL:

FW - Remy / Martinez / Morata - Doubtful as Chelsea will not let him join us and Atletico have the pending Transfer Embargo. Morata would just be to expesnive to buy, but a loan might not be out of the question. Dare I say it, Damiao or even a cheeky bid for Pato? (and no I am not the Oracle, and Pato might just pay off) .

GK: We Need a replacement for Vorm and quick. If Lloris gets injured kiss goodbye any Chance of qualifying for the CL. Valdes might just be an Option, if LVG gets sacked between now and the end of the TW. Lopes of Lyon is also one we could consider, or Timo Horn.

Question is. does poch have the balls to drop alli

Apart from real he hasn't turned up this season.

1.) 28 Nov 2017 21:44:19
He needs to go along with eriksen for mega money as they both go missing too much in the season, apart from Harry Kane the whole team have been absolutely shocking this season.

2.) 29 Nov 2017 00:16:54
Ironic that straight after his hatrick for Denmark that the media are saying he is world class and then he starts playing like a donkey, he has been awful.

I think we are missing Wanyama or Dier in Central Midfield but still doesn't explain how Alli and Eriksen are soo bad.

18 Aug 2017 18:00:16
Could Fulham signing the Portuguese left back on loan mean that sessengon is coming as well.

I'd take that transfer window . still not sure if barkley is going to take us to the next level. lots of promise but will he fulfill it?

1.) 19 Aug 2017 06:36:54
Would not surprise me young top player can do it now, rose disrespected spurs will be sold his mate walker put the seeds in his head, grass ain't always greener,

If we got 70 million for him rose, levy wants a knighthood .

Better hungry players out there, I'm a Yorkshire man like bill Nicholson and rose he let spurs down . So I hope we get sessengnon,

26 Jul 2017 08:45:59
So we miss out on under to Roma then he goes and is one of the most impressive players on the pitch against us. feel we missed an opportunity there.

1.) 26 Jul 2017 15:05:32
I think the referee was Romas best player.

2.) 26 Jul 2017 19:18:27
Using referee excuses in a friendly, how low can you get! hahaha.

3.) 26 Jul 2017 22:38:52
Ellis Dee was spot on the referee was a joke and spurs would have won so easily if he wasn't in charge of last nights game.

4.) 26 Jul 2017 23:59:15
One of the worst referees i have ever seen.

{Ed033's Note - You cannot be serious, man 😋.

5.) 27 Jul 2017 09:07:28
They are serious Ed.

Can you give them some straws please, because the ones they are clutching onto have broke.

{Ed033's Note - yes, but i saw chalk dust.

6.) 27 Jul 2017 11:26:37
So the excuses are already starting?

7.) 27 Jul 2017 11:28:56
Yet you don't complain about the ref when he sent a PSG player off!

8.) 27 Jul 2017 10:49:48
Did you watch it?

{Ed033's Note - i was making a joke about McEnroe, so you must be talking to dagenham gunner.

9.) 27 Jul 2017 16:31:15
Wodbod that psg player had to get sent off as ge nearly broke the players leg.

10.) 27 Jul 2017 18:20:58
Ed033 it takes him a while to catch up. He's a little simple our Arsenal poster. McEnroe V Borg great tennis.

{Ed033's Note - yes, You will be Assimilated. Resistance is Futile.

11.) 27 Jul 2017 19:49:10
I love my tennis as well ed, I've been smashed many of times on henman hill with the champagne and strawberries. I always think who would be king if they all played together at their best, Federer, Sampras, lendl, borg, McEnroe, conners, Agassi etc.

{Ed033's Note - The champions collective. We are the Borg, lower your rackets and surrender.

12.) 27 Jul 2017 23:41:20
I can barely sleep since the loss.

26 Jun 2017 16:17:10
I'm not ITK or anything but reading about who we have been linked with I would take:

All are young with potetnital without the huge price tag. Would be nice to see an ISCO or world class player come in but can't see it happening.

1.) 26 Jun 2017 21:03:50
Are you sure you are not itk north, I hear you run around with the de sacc man lol. I agree with king and Meyer and I want timo werner, I can't wait for the season to start as I'm bored to death already and I'm drinking a lot more due to my boredom. I was offered a slot in the big brother house a few weeks ago but I think I'll enter next summer.

2.) 27 Jun 2017 00:13:16
There's more chance of you being on Crime watch mate 😂.

{Ed007's Note - What, again?}

3.) 27 Jun 2017 10:02:27
I've been on that programme already dags for being a yob with England lol.

29 Jun 2016 13:02:54
I personally think missing out on Batshuayi may not be such a bad thing he looks a good player but for someone who is untested in the premier league 30+ mil is a big gamble

Plus why would he want to join spurs and sit on the bench for 70 mins each game as Harry is our starter.

Its hard trying to find a quality striker who is happy to play backup.

I suppose our 2 options floating around the media are Janson and Sanabria

Can either of the ed's comment on either as to where we are with these negotiations.

I personally am suprised we didn't try to lure Dembele now he is a free.

1.) 29 Jun 2016 14:39:39
And if he signed for Spurs your be going silly over him! Fact is we are just a bigger club! We won it all ok not in Europe next season but the club sells it self players want to play for the famous blue.

2.) 29 Jun 2016 15:31:57
Your not a bigger club, you just have more money but less history and class.

3.) 29 Jun 2016 16:44:25
Don't really play entertaining football though.

Conte will do well - Then you'll sack him.

4.) 29 Jun 2016 17:55:53
Wirral Mark why are you the type of fan that brings money into it when Leicester just beat everyone to the title this year! We are a bigger club we done it in every major competitions we a elite club that will draw players just by the name.

{Ed002's Note - That is the opposite of the nonsense you put on the Chelsea page.}

5.) 29 Jun 2016 18:44:26
The big club lol, when I was in school in the 80s you was the smallest club in London, 14 thousand fans no trophies and a dog track around the ground. You are a prawn sandwich club who has been bankrolled by a Russian, a few years ago you were minutes away from going out of business now you win everything sums it up,

6.) 29 Jun 2016 16:31:50
Well said Mark, spot on. I've seen quite a bit of Batshuayi and he ain't that special at all.

7.) 29 Jun 2016 19:05:37
Pinky owned by Ed. He he he.

8.) 30 Jun 2016 14:25:15
Spot on raver.

No gunnerbod. I'm saying the article is rubbish. Why would they take a 50-60% pay cut.

Max Meyer shows promise but had a poor season last season with limited chances.

Reminds me a bit of holtby

Think barkley is the better option.

Are we going to really leave ourselves with 1 recognised striker? Surely someone must be coming in if we are willing for jansen to go.

Would like foyth as back up if wimmer leaves. And would like draxler or the lad from Barca

Still not sure on barkley and don't see the need in aurier he has a bad attitude and we have trippier and walker peters.

Dembele looks good in the scottish league

We don't need to take another gamble we need some proven talent in to bolster the squad.

Barkley performs 1 in 5 would that really move us forward?
Dembele could be a hit but look at Jansen.
I'd take berahino and would love a creative midfielder for when erikson is off the boil

There are cheaper options who would offer more creativity,

Look at the likes of Bolasie or Artuatovic (apologies for the spelling)

They have just turned down a £37.5 mil offer from china for him.

I would take him at £10m-£15m but nowhere near what they want for him.

Are you being serious?

Yes an awful way to end the season, but a great season.

For the most part we have played some of the best football and being praised for it by all areas of the media.

WE have the youngest squad and their inexperience showed. Yes the usual top 4 haven't performed but the rest of the league has improved and we have immensely. We didn't expect top 4,

We have champions league and your here moaning. Great support! I suppose you would have only been happy with the title?
