According to my H.P. sauce we are going to sign Nachos and half the Real McCoy team.

My sauce is currently in the Houses of Parliament on holiday. think I ought to join him, as all this transfer malarkey is doing my tree in.

Roll on deadline day let it all end.

I see a bloke in a Subaru last night driving round Southend, I new it was the raver as he had a mirror on his lap and a straw up his nose, I thought he was just sniffing the sea air 😂😂😂😂😂 turns out he was sniffing rocks.

He must have been flying around Adventure Island.

Dalboy - I'm assuming you lived in Grays and Now Southend or towards Southend.?

If so. Another question.

Did you go to watch Aston Villa v Spurs when Terry Fenwick scored at goal at each end. We lost that day 2-1 in 1988.

The Subaru is always cruising around leafy Essex dalboy, last time I was there I had a lot of marching powder and a lot of energy so I decided to jump in the sea at Canvey island and swim to France. One hour later the coastguards were dragging me from the water lol. I was offered parts in the films Essex boys and rise of the foot soldier due to my looks and Hardman ways.

Dr to be honest, I don't remember that game, I was born in 81 and only started following spurs and England from about 89 - Italia90.

I come from the posh side of tilbury 😂😂😂

Raver- I thought I recognised you from pirate films called, big cocaine mountain, sniffy sniffy bang bang, see no coke sniff no coke, honey I shrunk my lsd, big trouble in little China as I've taken a load of Joe pasquali.

Lol dalboy I would have loved to been offered parts in those classic films, they did offer me a part in trainspotting 2 but my Scottish accent wasn't up to scratch.

Just want to be clear - Oracle and Da Sacc Man are the same person, right? The only difference in how they write and structure posts is Da Sacc Man says Da instead of The. Not that it matters.

Just lost out to PSG to the young Argentinian defender. Not sure what Levy does in these negotiations but clearly he is haggling over a tiny amount and it's having repercussions. I've been all for Levy in the past but it seems to be an ongoing occurrence of us losing out on targets due to him biding his time. I feel this is going to be a long arduous transfer window with not much action.

20 Jul 2017 13:15:35
I'm with you Ryan, I've been all for Levy, Although I can't help thinking now he's p'ing other Chairman off with some ridicules offers.
It seems every player we sell are worth millions and players we want to purchase are worth half their proposed value.
We need to start buying otherwise we will be left with bidding for players we don't want or need another Sissoko panic buy.
We should be buying Mahrez I know I keep saying this, but why aren't we looking at him is beyond me.

Agree0 0Disagree

20 Jul 2017 15:11:10
I've been anti levy for years and I would be a very happy man if he left tomorrow. We have missed out on so many top targets due to his stubbornness to pay up, the players we are linked with most summers are average and cheap which will never improve spurs. Just look at what the other big 5 are buying and linked with to us sums levy up. I've just seen morata on tv heading to London to sign for Chelsea makes me even more cheesed off as we should be going for that type of players .

Agree1 0Disagree

20 Jul 2017 16:26:48
It's worked in the past and his shrewd negotiations for outgoing players is probably the best in the world but clearly his faults lie with negotiating incoming transfers. I wasn't frustrated with missing out on Foyth as I have never seen him play and haven't a clue whether he's any good but what frustrates me is the same tactics being used and failing every single time. Throw in a low ball offer, bide our time, throw in another low ball offer and then another clubs comes in and pays the asking price!

Agree0 0Disagree

21 Jul 2017 09:51:49
Drthfc I've told you before you cannot afford players like mahrez, the only chance you have of signing him is waiting to the last day of the window and if no one signs him they might lower the asking price, and his wage demands might be lower just to force a move.

We don't need anyone as we have one of the best squads in the league and everyone will hate playing us. Lloris, vertonghen, alderwereld, rose, alli, eriksen, dembele, and the golden boot boy Harry Kane are world class that's why we were unbeaten all season at home and finished 20 plus points in front of poor Europa league Arsenal.

Yes a few have come in, a new bloke selling match day programs, a new cleaner for the executive suites and I'm hearing as spurs have such a massive following due to moving to Wembley they've had a new person on the ticket sales desk. I think these new signings will improve the club big time and will keep the fans very excited and happy for the upcoming season.

I hear Levy is having NO MOW or LAZY LAWN installed at the new ground for some more cost savings.

In my opinion, we are 'lost at sea' every target is slipping away, if the latest reports are correct - Foyth has gone elsewhere! Barkley is the only real target as it seems to be a match, but we are having to pay far too much (for a player with a year left on the contract) and his wage demands. I personnaly don't think he's anything other than a squad player.
As I have said before, our wage structure is holding us back, levy will not deviate from his path of paying off the debt in double quick time. Our ONLY hope is a sugar daddy investor. Otherwise within a year all the family silver will go! Nobby.

Agree2 1Disagree

19 Jul 2017 10:06:40
Nobby I agree with what your saying, but don't you think that footballers earn astronomical amounts of money, and to a certain extent Levy is right not wanting to get into the realms of paying absurd amounts of money to prima-donnas and money mercenaries. How can anyone need £250,000p/ w to live on its stupid, FIFA/ UEFA need to step in and cap wages NOW, how long will it be before we have a £1m p/ w player. The figures are crazy and only getting worse.

Kane our top earner earns a rumoured £120k p/ w and he is currently one of the best strikers around. Look at the like of Wilfred Zaha (£125k p/ w) , Javier Hernandez (£145k p/ w) , Harry Macguire (£100k p/ w) and all the others to many to mention who earn in well in excess of this amount. All players want hundreds of thousands of pounds and frankly most of them are just not worth it. It makes signing players at value for money very difficult, you cannot blame Levy for that, however as a fan I would like to see him be a little more flexible and speculate to accumalate. I do not want to see a sugar daddy at my beloved club, if that happens and we start winning trophies, we will be no better than Chelsea and Man City, and the majority of Spurs fans have all slated them about their brought success.

19 Jul 2017 11:27:52
Footballers are no different to us thfc, if you were working at a factory and the factory across the road will pay you a lot more you would quit straight away for the extra money. It's like saying to the raver do you want to give up Stringfellows for the playboy mansion, I would be ditching old peter straight away.

Regarding the obscene amount of money that is thrown around on crazy transfer fees for average players and the madness of their weekly wages it has to stop, but probably won't, Alan sugar saved us from going into oblivion years ago but then refused to pay anywhere near top wages and so we had a well run club that had average teams for years, what do we do smash the wage structure and go for broke literally because our expensive ticket prices will be even higher it's a catch 22 situation in my humble opinion, regarding Ross Barkley BBC saying he wants150 thousand a week to join us, lol that ain't going to happen in a million years iftrue not worth 60 grand a week, vastly overated COYS.

Does anyone else think Arnautovic would of been a good signing? Every time I watch him play he's Stokes best player.

Agree1 2Disagree

19 Jul 2017 10:08:34
Yes I do Rob, Arnautovic at £24m + £80k p/ w or Barkley for at £50m + £150k p/ w, Arnautovic all day long and he has been much more consistant in the premier league as well.

19 Jul 2017 11:31:10
Agree thfc, everytime I see anoutouvic play he always impressed me and if he went to a bigger club I can only see him getting better and is a cracking buy for 20 odd million. I also think ryad mahrez is a much better buy than Barkley and he would be excellent at spurs.

O yea I forgot to say wodbodd, you seem intelligent but you are on the wrong fan site, don't your own fans like you? I support spurs I haven't got time to go on other teams sites to comment. I think you are lonely and crying out for attention. You are on the wrong site you should be on grinder you will get all the attention and cuddles you need.

Agree1 2Disagree

19 Jul 2017 08:58:31
Personality, says the arsenal fan - the whole of emirates lacks personality, enthusiasm, descent fans, and lead by the man with the most personality ARSEN WENGER. Hahaha. He was once asked what does he think of the arsenal fans personally, arsen replies "I did not see anything " 😂😂😂😂😊.

Imagine being on the run and the police ask Wenger have you seen a blue and yellow Subaru driven by a handsome spurs fanatic his reply would be I Haven't Seen IT lol.

Your posts aren't banter Oddbod. You say yourself that your 'bringing us back down to Earth', most posters on here are quite fair and realistic. Its weird how often your on here, how often you comment and how many conversations you have with yourself. I would say you have obsessive mental issues, that's an educated guess.

You need to chill out and stop commenting so much, be positive and look forward to Thursday nights. Lots of crap is spoken on the Arsenal pages, why don't you put that to right instead?

19 Jul 2017 14:45:51
It's going to be a hard choice for wodbod on Thursday nights, does he go over to the library to watch Arsenal play European minnows or does he curl up on the sofa with his mummy watching Eastenders lol.

Morning all. I have been following this site and comments for a couple of years now, I have learned so much, I have learnt that the oracle has no idea what he is on about, ellisde has good info and talks sense, the raver lives and loves the spurs but the jean Lucca vialli is messing up his head and will crash his subaru into a magic mush field.
Now on a semi serious note what the Fock are spurs doing no signings after a good season and like raver said I'm starting to loose patience we need signing to step up on last season especially playing at Wembley. I went to the Leverkusen game in the champions league at Wembley and it was honestly the worst game of football I have ever seen and I use to watch grays athletic a lot as a kid and they were dog sh1t. Come on spurs, levy it's embarrassing,

Grays Althletic - I used to train there on a Wednesday night Dalboy. many years ago now I might add.

We should put a bid in a Marhez I see he's prepared to take a wage drop this morning. The move Lamella on.
Also add Hernandez and Barkley then that wouldn't be a bad transfer window, However I think Hernadez wage demands are pretty high. We don't need a massive overhaul - 3 players I think.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 Jul 2017 12:20:22
Grays use to be a well run club and nearly got into the league. They don't even have a home ground now, turned into flats.
I agree we need an explosive winger who can make things happen, maybe another striker as back up to chuck on with Kane if we are out fought like against city and Liverpool. I think we need someone proven and that gets the fans off there seats.

Who's out there though who we could realistically afford.? The boy at Bournemouth is being talked about. Does he fit the bill.? I'm not so sure.

Would like le to see bale come back but won't ever happen

Maybe get in time Werner, Isco, James Rodrigues, you something to excite the fans make a statement of intent, then maybe big name player might want to join us.

Rodrigues signed for Bayern last week. Keep up fella.

You've been on the Dickie Davis with raver.

I know, I'm just saying these are the type of players we should be going for. I'm bored of seeing, spurs lookimg at buying this player, that player, Isco, James, Willian, hazard lemar, and then we go and sign Clinton njie or someone to his standards and levy thinks it's a good transfer window and should keep the fans happy even though every teen is improving. I wouldn't even mind lallana.
The best transfer window unexpected buy rafael van Der vart.

Dalboy the lucca vialli has definitely messed my mind up but luckily not my looks, me crashing the Subaru in a magic mushroom field would be heaven for the raver lol. Welcome to the spurs page dalboy I hope to hear from you often on this site.

I think we all should crash into a magic mushroom field we can all hallucinate that Spurs have one the league.

Great post Oracle, that's it in a nutshell, the way it is however I disagree on one point,

I think Mr Levy and Mr Lewis will not sell the cash cow they are about to unleash with the new stadium, , why make a money making machine then give it away, were in for a long lewis and Levy stewardship,

They will be successful and levy will get his hands on the premier title, patience is what is needed. And long sessions of yoga.
