Morning chaps, interested to get your thoughts on the game?

I thought first half you could of had 4 or 5 on the break but some horrendous finishing cost you dear.

Second half was much of a muchness but I'd say you probably had the better chances.

As for the decisions I think he was just awful full stop. There were incidents were you could of got free kicks but the main one that irked me was the pen that wasn't given on Jota. Kane I sort of get not being overturned but I just want consistency in the decisions. But the pen I just can't work out how a ref with mutilate angles hasn't told him he's wrong.

Overall and taking into account our midfield, or lack of, I think a draw is probably fair and we move on to the next.

We had players missing too, aswell as some who played still recovering from C.V.

2.) 20 Dec 2021 18:13:25
The officiating was embarrassing, no question.

Both teams, in fact all teams probably for the rest of the season, will have to deal with C.V. The title could come down to which squad has the least C.V.s to key players. So I fully understand Klopps comment about not wanting to sign unvaccinated players in January.

3.) 20 Dec 2021 19:27:13
Wyred I would have bitten your hand off for a draw before the game as you are a world class side mate, I think spurs are heading in the right direction under conte and will get better in the future.

4.) 20 Dec 2021 20:09:12
Bang on yellow, that's why I think it'll be city's to lose. They have too deep a squad to really feel the effects like others.

The officiating has to improve but we struggle for good refs as it is. But due to VAR we doubled the amount we needed and now they just use each other to hide behind their sheer incompetence. If I performed like they did I'd be at the job centre!

Raver you have a good side and a decent coach, best for a long time. I was never sold on poch personally. Top 4 is up for grabs but it'll be an absolute dog fight and your right in the mix.

5.) 20 Dec 2021 21:19:56
Klopp is embarrassing, moaning about spurs playing long balls and yet the stats yesterday were Tottenham long balls 59, Liverpool 62.

6.) 20 Dec 2021 22:11:13
Did he moan about that? I heard him mention it but I thought he said you'd exploited the weakness but the main thing I remember from his post match talk was ranting about Tierney.

7.) 20 Dec 2021 22:29:44
He had a strop about spurs playing long balls. Let's be honest he's angry his team didn't win because Harry Winks turned into Iniesta and Eric Dier turned into Beckenbauer ?.

Im not sure how long you will put up with mou but I do think he will get you a trophy and top four this year. But his football will never be easy on the eye.

He’s a character but miserable and petty when you lose. You had big chances but we had a 19 year old in defence who if you showed more ambition I think you could have exposed him.

You need to wrap up son and Kane’s as their crucial for your season. But as much as I like moura he is not a mourinho player, when he came on he wasn’t tracking back at all. Your first 11 is good but I think you have little depth and that will be your undoing.

1.) 16 Dec 2020 23:25:24
We will be fighting for 3rd or 4th come May mate.

2.) 17 Dec 2020 09:58:21
Wyred, behave will ya.

You got lucky, you wouldn't even be on here if you had lost which you you should have. Mourinho deliberately plays like that.

And our squad is deeper than Liverpools. Klopp is the worst loser I've ever seen, just look at that BT interview.

3.) 17 Dec 2020 10:54:18
🤣 chalky you lap up what mou says! I'd rather watch paint dry then watch my team park the bus.

We also hit the woodwork but if you don't stick it in the onion bag its not bad luck, its poor finishing andfrom kane in particular, free header 6 yards out and he missed. But mourinho does what he does best and deflects (I don't knock him for that but its what he does after every defeat) .

As for the deeper squad, we will see when one of kane or son gets injured for an extended period of time. But we had a 19 year old and a cdm at cb and still got the job done, that's a pretty deep squad in my opinion.

And I'd be on here win or lose, problem is I can't prove that!

4.) 17 Dec 2020 11:25:27
We've had more injuries than any team over the last few seasons. You haven't had Salah or Mane out for an extended period, yet. Any team struggles without their top players.

People have got to realise that Mourinho is building. He's only been here a year. He builds from defence first. Lastnight the gameplan was almost perfect, normally we score them game over.

I'll check the Fulham, Brighton pages to see if you posted on there 😉.

5.) 17 Dec 2020 11:46:08
It was a close game but Mourinho comments about injuries were illogical.

If LFC had VVD, Gomez at CB, meaning Fabinho could play in his usual midfield role with Thiago and Jota to come would the game of looked so close? Arguably most those players mentioned would get in the spurs first 11.

On the Mourinho building he always build and then year 2 / 3 something goes wrong, no doubt he is a great manager it is whether he can change what usually happens in year 2 / 3. Not many managers get 2/ 3 years to "build" fortunately for LFC and Klopp he did.

6.) 17 Dec 2020 11:46:58
I would if we had lost against them 😉

I think you boys will be fighting all the way and I do think you'll win something.

As for Mou, he doesn't build for long before it crumbles as either fans or the players get tired of his tactics but as I say I think he will give you a trophy at the very least if not more.

As for the injuries you did get them last year and that's why you were inconsistent. But keep them fit and you will have a very good season.

7.) 19 Dec 2020 15:01:21
Just like Klopp you're very righteous after a win.

11 Jan 2020 23:34:42
Thought your boys played ok today. Son and Moura were a handful and you were dangerous on the break. Second half you were at your most dangerous when we made mistakes but I’m glad we have you out of the way for the season.

Think you need to remove the couple of bad apples that aren’t going to sign contracts and play with players that are committed. The young lad also did well for you in defence.

Think mou will get it right as you have a strong side but he may need to trust your ability to attack a bit more.

Hope you can push for top four and best of luck for the rest of the season. Hopefully we avoid you in the CL!

Cheers red we are going nowhere as a football club and you lot are going serious places mate, I fully agree with you that the bad apples all have to go along with the 7 or 8 bang average players we have. I'm so fed up tonight I didn't head into seedy west London and downed 3 bottles of vodka and watched the voice, shows how depressed I am and being a spurs fan doesn't help.

2.) 12 Jan 2020 09:14:19
Come on Raver, chin up!

3.) 12 Jan 2020 11:27:14
It’s not that bad mate, you got play conservative football but if you trust him he will win you trophies. He seems to work best when the fan base is behind him.
I don’t think your that far off to be honest mate and you will be right up there next year.

4.) 12 Jan 2020 12:20:18
Pleasantly surprised by our performance considering we played with 10 men till LoCelso replaced Eriksen.

Couple of quality full backs, a settled midfield with some creative spark and we’re not a long way off . top 4 not very likely this season and as much as it pains me a season without Europe as mwheels suggested my be the answer . but then we get to Jose’s third season and history doesn’t bode well.

5.) 12 Jan 2020 15:26:49
I'm fully behind jose mourinho it's the board who I'm fed up with, if you give jose the tools he gets trophies but our board won't give him that option, also glad to see the back of eriksen who was a total embarrassment yesterday with the shift he put in, and he's easily replaced unlike Gareth bale.

Went to the NFL game yesterday and you boys have now got a world class stadium.
I know it isn’t working out on the pitch for you guys, it didn’t for the Bucs either, but it will come and I think that stadium will provide the foundation for your future success.

Question for you spurs fans, what do you make of Kane's comments about claiming the goal?
On one hand he is a striker so only cares about sticking it in the back of the net and his figures will mean everything to him.
But on the other taking a goal of a colleague? That's like a salesman taking a sale off a friend purely because he glanced in their direction.
My view is that he didn't even touch the ball.
Genuinely interested to hear your views as I just see it as poor sportsmanship and bringing his daughter in to the conversation was needless on his behalf.

1.) 10 Apr 2018 15:40:32
to swear on your childs life must mean he got a touch on it. all top strikers would claim the goal if they got a touch and kane is no diffrent. people making a lot of fuss over this is very annoying if the man said he got a touch then that's it end of arguement.

2.) 10 Apr 2018 18:48:52
What do you think of this situation Ed? Seems real weird to me!

{Ed001's Note - it just seems a bit pointless. Desperate to take a goal off a team-mate for personal glory. Not sure it makes sense for Spurs.}

3.) 10 Apr 2018 19:09:15
I echo your thoughts Ed. I could understand it if it was given as an OG, but taking it off Eriksen seems vain. The press as well seems quick to praise him for ' claiming the goal as a striker would do'.

{Ed001's Note - I found that odd as I have never known any other striker go to these lengths.}

4.) 10 Apr 2018 19:15:49
Hope it doesn't blow up a lot. I don't buy the whole Eriksen doesn't care about personal glory angle prodded along. Got to be real awkward.

On a different line, good luck for today Ed! Hope we all get a good game.

{Ed001's Note - I can't see how Eriksen would not be peed off if the goal was taken off him, even if he might not admit it. It is only natural he would want it, it was his shot that went in.

I would settle for a drab nil-nil. Any result that sees us go through! Allez, allez, allez!!}

5.) 11 Apr 2018 06:27:28
It did work out pretty well in the end! And served a spectacle as well!

{Ed001's Note - not sure it worked out well for my heart! I don't drink, but a few more games like that and I will need to!}

6.) 11 Apr 2018 06:40:52
Hopefully 3 more!

{Ed001's Note - good point, it is worth it at the end of the game that is for sure.}

7.) 11 Apr 2018 07:20:04
Though I perfectly understand what you mean! Am a Spurs fan myself! :)
