Just watching arsenal v Chelsea
I am sooo pleased we lost out on Willian. Although he has a good touch, boy is he lazy.
I moan about Lennon stopping when he loses the ball EVERYTIME but Willian makes Lennon look like Sandro in the enthusiasm stakes! On another note. Can anyone help me understand why AVB chooses Holtby over Eriksson? Although I love Holtbys eagerness Eriksson is class. & why does he not give Lamela a run. Lennon is not what he used to be (except lazy )
I'm not criticising just can't understand his motives

Wildy

1.) I don't know why you picked on Lennon he ain't bad at all at tracking back and puts a good shift in. I wouldn't say he is lazy at all. Agreed about Willian though, his hair must be heavy!

2.) Although Erikson is no 1 for that spot and has been since he signed you cannot ignore how good Holtby has played this season (albeit in the cup) so he does deserve a chance in the league. Holtbys vision is exceptional and seems like a forgotten man amongst spurs fans already, I for 1 think he's a tremendous player and deserves more game time.
As for Lamela, I'd say it's a combination of two things, 1) not ready for the league yet 2) Townsend has been better than expected. Hope that helps.

3.) Not pickin on Lennon. It's a fact.
Next time u watch him, when he's taking players on & gets tackled he stops runnin and moans.
As for Holtby, I'm not slagging him off I just think Eriksson has gone quiet because he isn't playing as much

4.) Wildy,
If anything over the past year, Lennon's grafting and working back has taken over from his attacking priorities at times! Remember at the moment he is way behind everybody on match fitness having been out since the start of the season, he always struggles to start after a break with until back to being 100%. Definitely wouldn't knock his general work-rate.

It's an absolute disgrace how RM can bully their way into 'taking' any player they wish. Without fear of repercussion. Using terminology like "it's now or never". So in 12 months, if GB has another cracking season, are they saying they won't want him? I somehow doubt that very much.
If RM are offering him £150k a yr then spurs have to match it, I personally think he will stay for another yr, IF Levy can ignore the ££££'s.
I also feel he has to feel excited about the signings so far & how it all seems to be built around him, the middle 3 are going to be sintilating, hopefully him & Soldado will just bang em in, it's exciting times. I think AVB is quality. I just hope he stays. 1 more year. & then if he leaves so be it. But I hope he joins Barca. After all RM, you did say "now or never"

Davo.
You really talk utter gash. " we haven't played anyone of note yet ". So winning at Old Trafford is easy then yeh? I'm all for reading banter posts but when they make no sense & belittle THFC it infuriates me.
Do you moan constantly about everything? AVB was a one truck pony. Tim has now shown he can change tactics & team selection.
Just top your glass up a little so it's half full and enjoy spurs winning 16 from 18 pts and 5 away games on trot. !

This all is so sad.
Although I agree mostly with all the stuff about AVB, he obviously isn't a stupid man. But his 4-2-3-1 style was blatantly not suiting the players. Inverted wingers for too long but the main issue for me was the high defence line. The exact same thing happened at Chelsea. Which ultimately signalled his demise there. It's simple, high line = quick defenders. Chelsea had Terry, we have Daws.
No one can criticise their passion but u can criticise their speed. Suarez just had to beat his slower counterpart and he was thru, which he did numerous times. But Daws played where he was told therefore AVB is to blame. But you've got to have a plan B, and there in lies the issue. Almost the arrogance of not trying different things, especially during games. Levy has no choice. He had to go.
Where levy goes from here, god only knows but please think & choose carefully.
Being a spurs fan is tough. What could've been a great weekend with the league leaders also being hit for 6 at City, turned out as us being thrashed 5 at home & losing AVB.
Stability now please and let's start enjoying being a fan. I for one am sick of moaning Daniel! Choose wisely

Something to smile about.IS.
Willian is utter utter garbage. Just watching Chelsea in CL and he is clueless, lazy and plain can't be arsed. So although our £20 mill plus players aren't playin well, they are not alone!!

Seriously SpursDave, your post was quite eloquent until you got giddy & started telling people who have genuine reason to complain to 'shove it up their Jacksy'! The only negativity is AVB's tactics. This £100 mill spent on players must've been spent for a reason, on players that are worth near to the amount, so it must be the tactics and methods that are making them ALL look poor. I hope I'm wrong but on this seasons performances we will be 8th9th poss 10th. Eventually something has got to give. Ps SpursDave. Do you not think people would rather be talking how awesome we are? Blinkered!
