Hey reds fan in peace but had a quick question, do you think it is the players or the manager who is at faults for how you have performed this season? Don't follow spurs much but have a lot of players who aren't performing well who I think are good players and can't believe that they aren't good players. For example I can't believe that Soldado, Eriksen, Dembele, Paulinho (who starts for Brazil) and Lamela are all average players. Think a lot of them are good players who aren't performing and curious if you blame the manager or players for lack of application? I personally think you needed to invest more into your defense, full backs particularly but don't see how a lot of highly rated players aren't performing

1.) As you say, nothing wrong with those players but a manager who doesn't know how to change a system when needed, can't motivate his players, won't listen, and insists on playing players out of position!
I am not sure that the players know what's wanted of them . We have two defenders that wouldn't get in the San Marino national team, but he keeps playing them, plays negative slow boring football! If we lose 5-0 but try, you could accept it!

2.) The players aren't performing to there best, the manager is too stubborn to change a system that may compliment the players.

A high line against an attack of Suarez Sterling & Coutinho is suicide even with the best of defences, but when you have 4 of your best defenders injured, what do you expect.

You showed us up boys, an excellent display from you. Congratulations, but I still have a feeling that we will be around you come the end of the season

3.) I think this is a classic case of trying to make the players fit the system rather than a system that fits the players. It takes time to create a new style, and maybe AVB tried to do it too quickly?

The only thing about AVB that annoyed me was his love of playing people out of position. It's difficult to build chemistry when people are moving all over the place every week.

Sorry not to be arrogant and by no means am I assured we'll make top 4 but to say liverpool are unlikely is ridiculous. We have the 1st and 3rd top goal scorers in the league (both of which have missed a large amount of games) we have Enrique, sakho, and agger back soon. Sturrridge back and scoring goals, with Lucas' injury not as bad as thought (back relatively soon) and probably the best player in the league. Only have Man U away from home from the big games, beat spurs at HOME 0-5 beat Everton 4-0 whilst missing a penalty. Fair enough both sides were done by poor officials (if you think you're offsides was bad, see sterlings) but we outplayed city at their home ground whilst you were lucky not to be 3-0 down by half time. Now we have a decent chance at top 4 and so do you but I just found saying we'll get top 4 unlikely a bit unfair, but tbh as long as United don't finish top 4 I'm happy!

In fairness I don't rate walker, but I can't stand johnson. Even during yesterday's game he infuriated me can't defend, gets caught out of position, and no longer contributes offensively. Is lazy as well, but seriously think England are in trouble at the World Cup because he will probably start and Saurez will have a field day with it

In fairness don't want to be cocky and spurs may pick up their game further on in the series but don't think you can blame injuries on the result. We are missing sturridge, gerrard, and enrique. With aspas, hendo, and agger just coming off of injury, so three of our starting XI gone and still performed well (also saurez banned for 6 games at the start of the season). Saying that Capoue at CB ruined your whole team but still think AVB made mistakes with his summer signings. Needed more CBs and still baffled no full backs were signed, you have no good RBs or LB (unless you play vertonghan who is your best CB) and spend £25 m on a young winger who can't get into the team whilst your manager had all summer to watch how Townsend had developed.
