Ed what do really think of our chances of signing Draxler. him Lamela and Erikson would be exciting.

AMD

{Ed008's Note - Can't see it happening a lot of money to spend on 1 player already those mistakes last summer with 2 players.

Why Levy and Pochettino don't move for £12m Konoplyanka is a mystery.

LM - Konoplyanka
CAM - Eriksen
RM - Lamela

With Benteke upfront would be very interesting indeed. Dembele and Sandro deeper would be my choice. If Sandro does get courted away, then Capoue or Holtby can easily accommodate that role.

2.) 14 Jul 2014 23:19:03
I agree however I think Capoue instead of Sandro, although I like many spurs fans have mass amounts of love for the Brazilian, Capoue technically is far superior and him and dembele would be a formidable force!
Also Stones would be a fantastic buy behind them!

3.) 15 Jul 2014 02:15:21
The bigger question is why are the spammers the only team looking at Konoplyanka? Someone or more than one must know something that isn't obvious.

4.) 15 Jul 2014 07:24:20
Yellow-Card I agree 100% it is ridiculous for a natural left sided winger of such quality not to be hot property. He literally tore teams to pieces last season and I would love him on that left wing.

5.) I agree Konoplyanka looks a very good player & if the price is right at £12m - I personally think that's the sort of player we should be snapping up right away. Even if we offer £15m what is he 24 / 25 years old. Good business I would say.

What are peoples thoughts on us buying HULK. If the rumours are true then him and a decent LB would be an excellent january.

1.) Dream on!

After today's performance we will be lucky to get Robbie Keane back.

2.) 11 Nov 2013 01:03:19
I think hulk is our lw position sorted!

3.) Personally I don't feel hulk is the answer. We need someone to score goals. I think chicarito or dzecko is a must and coentrao for lb

I don't know about you guys, but am I not the only one who has been utterly disappointed and feels worried about each game we play which isn't in the Europa League. I feel that money was wasted in that summer window and could have been spent on in January. Nacer Chadli, He is a very classy player and has shown for Belgium but has been having mysterious injuries keeping him out of the match day squads. From what we have seen, there have been glimpses of quality but we haven't seen enough to tell yet. Chistian Eriksen, probably one of the bargains of the summer window. This guy is fantastic but he hasn't set the world alight yet. Erik Lamela, I feel very sorry for him because I have watched him when he was at Roma and he was exceptional but AVB has been I feel very harsh on him because that Sheriff game showed what he could do and hopefully with the injury to Eriksen, Lamela gets his chance. Vlad Chiriches he's been solid since joining making few mistakes and doing the job like he should. Etienne Capoue he looks like he could be a great sweeper/dm but injury has affected his start at spurs. Paulinho has be probably our best signing this season. Finally Roberto Soldado, he's shown just how good he can be in spain but I feel was the wrong man for the job. He's physically very weak and doesn't seen to be able to read the game like the great centre forwards of the game do. Interesting though how something like 65% of this seasons goals he has been involved in. I think that Soldado should be sold in january and replaced with a more traditional centre forward and trequartista like Diego Costa, Fernando Llorente, Edin Deko and Romelu Lukaku. Also a key point is AVB. I feel he has gotten it all wrong this season. Brilliant defensively as for a team with the capability and squad as good as Tottenham's should be but lacklustre up front. For me, it's the formation. 4-2-3-1. It just isn't working. Soldado doesn't have the capability of playing up front on his own in the Premier League. I think having thought clearly about where it's going wrong and having watched footage of our poor quality in matches have come up with a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Because our midfield and defence are strong but we need to play with 2 strikers. I think that the holding midfielder position is working well as well as the attacking midfielder. This also let's us play 2 wide men which is what we have been doing all season. So based on this, this is my team for the sunday clash with Manchester City at the Etihad:
-Lloris GK
-Walker RB
-Dawson CB
-Chiriches CB
-Vertonghen LB
-Sandro DM
-Paulinho RM
-Townsend LM
-Lamela AM
-Defoe RS
-Soldado LS

REPLY WHAT YOU THINK :)

5.) Can't play Defoe and Townsend in same team as neither know how to look up for a pass! At present would play Dembele over Paulinho as Paulinho slows us up too much, needs a rest! Would play kaboom over Dawson everyday of the week!

6.) Davo, its unbelievable that Avb picks Dawson when he plays with this defence high line, its stupid. I remember watching Porto a few years ago when I didn't know much of Avb and eventhough they won the match I was watching in the Portugese league I couldn't believe how exposed they were when their defenders pushed up the pitch.

Next week could be the final game for Andre if this happens again. Rubbish Rubbish Levy will be thinking of a new manager very soon. I am sure of it.

AMD

1.) And about time too.

As I posted recently, we are the laughing stock of the premier league. Again.

2.) 24 Nov 2013 15:29:21
If I read or hear anymore talk about patience or winning league ill burst. Don't mind losing if players try but lazy lazy lazy explains it all. We are rubbish. I know people will disagree but no one moves or makes space. Lennon - gash, Soldado -gash, Lamela - gash paulinho -gash etc etc. AVB too arrogant to admit his tactics are wrong & today proves it. City didn't even play well.
6-0 is just wrong. I look forward to reading all your replies saying I'm wrong but you'll have egg on your faces . It kills me to say it but its embarrassing.

3.) All true.

4.) I would Love Hoddle back, really wanted it to work for AVB but looks like he is loosing the dressing room and ideas, The highline is not suiting attacking fullbacks and Daws, passing sideways is allowing teams to sit in a formation and let us have the ball knowing we can't get behind them and hurt them Bales goals last year papered over the cracks - his time may be up by Christmas!

Levy needs to take a long look and make some hard decisions

5.) Wildy your spot on. What made me laugh was bringing on the dynamic Siggurdson, that sums up Avb.

6.) Thanks Crafty.
I agree with the Siggs part. I've commented on Lennon before but surely he must be dropped. He does 1 or 2 bursts and then vanishes. Where was Townsend although he's inconsistent . We are clueless & I think AVB feels the same. City's goals came from supporting players busting a gut to get into space. I've watched 1st half again and Soldado, Pauli, Lennon, Lamela are just not moving. It's easy to say AVB out but the players are hopeless and all clueless. #backs to goal
