Eds,
Again the press linking a move for Benteke, seems unlikely that we would match his £32.5m release clause off the back of our disastrous spend on the likes of Soldado & Lamela.
Perhaps Adebayor could be included in a deal with Sherwood getting him to his potential last season.
Can you shed any light? Any indication that THFC are even in the market to spend that amount on a player this window.?

{Ed001's Note - there is interest in trying to tempt Sherwood with players Poch does not want in return for Benteke, but I do agree it seems unlikely that Levy would sanction a move to match his release clause. Certainly Spurs would like him to join.}

Levy recently said that we will be reverting back to our comfort zone on transfers which is 10 to 15 Mil, for the right player eg Anthony Martial we might go over the 15mil by a few mil but no way will we spend what Villa want on Bentkey unless like ed says they accept players in exchange.
There is also interest in Niang, again, of Milan.

As you are interested in benteke as ed001 has stated do you think he is being looked at as a replacement for Kane?
I'd love Kane at utd but not for 50m that's being quoted. Although I'd give you 50m for lloris and Kane.
{Ed001's Note - they want him to be a partner for Kane, not a replacement. Kane off Benteke is the plan.}

Cheers ed001 would be a pretty powerful forward line that.
{Ed001's Note - I personally am not convinced by Benteke, he seems to have a bit of an Adebayor attitude and needs lots of crosses and long balls to be at his most effective. He needs a direct team, which is not really the way Poch plays.}

Totally agree Ed , benteke is more of a target man . Shouldn't we be looking for attacking wide players who can cut in and score? I think we need another CF as well but not many top players are going to play second fiddle to Kane .

Hi Eds any news on the Yarmolenko rumour? Seems like an interesting target for Spurs
