Eds or anybody,

Does anyone know what is happening with the Adebayor deal to Villa, seems to have gone quiet and Villa seem to be buying every other striker?.

The Transfer Window closes on 1st September and not on Saturday. I accept we need time to gel a team, but we have the same backbone as last year with a couple of new faces who seem to have integrated well.

Alderweireld is the only new first team player. The difference this year is Dembele is finally back to a glimmer of his previous best, Walker is hungry and Trippier is chasing him, Mason and Bentaleb are more experienced, Lamela is improving each game, and Kane now believe he is the best striker in the Premiership.

Add the kids like Yedlin, Dier, Carroll, Delle Ali and Pritchard and you have a really healthy competitive squad at last. Not like last term with sulking premaddonas on the bench coming on and playing like donkeys and complaining of ring rust due to lack of playing. Just look at Yedlin, Carroll, Dier, Ali and Pritchard when they were given their chances, all looked a breath of fresh air and real talent. This youth underpin is the Pochettino way, and you will see this season how effective it can be as we call upon their services. Fit, energetic, passionate and dying for the chance to impress. A very different mindset to the last 3 years.
