Without analysing through rose tinted spectacles do any Spurs fans not believe the hype surrounding Harry Kane? Undoubted potential but the lad has nothing special to offer, is that really good enough going forward for a team that wants to be breaking into the top 4. The only concern is without his goals (that are bound to dry up at some stage) does he really offer anything special? When he hits a drought he will be just as useful as Adebayor or Soldado just with more passion.

To be honest it's his first season, he has done exceptional and he is very hungry. He chases the ball and IMO will certainly get better providing he gets the service which was lacking in the U21 tourney. The goals will dry up at some point but they do for every Striker!

I don't believe he is the finished article but his desire, ability and potential will get him along way. As for £40mill people band around, that to me is crazy at this stage but blame those willing to pay it!

The whole footballing world is crazy lol

With Kane a lack of pace is the one negative - if I were him i'd want to be developing my game - working out different ways to create chances. I'd look to try and develop greater understanding with the creative midfielders around me - work in more central areas - little one/two's on the edge of the box, etc. Try and add a bit more trickery. Defenders will try and cut down on his key strengths/shooting areas this year. The positive thing for Kane is he scores goals from all areas - long range, close range, free kicks, headers, etc. I think he'll continue to score goals but his team mates will have to step up and make sure he gets plenty of the ball which means looking up and playing the ball forward when possible and not taking the easy option with a side pass (as we saw with England U21 recently).

I've said that Davo we need at least another 2 creative players. Personally I think 3 out of 4 midfielders should all be creative or direct. I like Ross Barkley offer him 60k a week who knows.

Dr , a couple of good winger/ attackers out wide , who can put a good ball into the box , then chip in with the goals , and Kane will get 30 plus again next season . Levy will then sell him and Eriksen for £80 million , and we can then start again!
