Assou Ekotto: "If Spurs don't qualify for the CL I would definitely leave. Europa League is a useless competition."

if BAE wants to leave then no problem..for me, he gets caught out too many times in big games (i.e watch how city got the ball for the buildup to their last min penalty.) lets go and sign Emilio Izaguirre from Celtic. As 'Arry would say 'he's a top top player'. As for Jan Vertonghen, please snap him up ASAP and stop talking about it so much.

Other players i'll bring in are Hugo Lloris, Moussa Dembélé, Adam Johnson or Junior Hoilett, Leandro Damião and Demba Ba. All are the right age, in our price range and wage structure.

Agreed but prefer baines for left back

looks like this vertonghen stuff is really hotting up. He's just come out to say that we are pretty close to his dream club and he thinks our offer will be enough. Course I seem to remember he mentioned arsenal as well a couple of months ago, but still, heres hoping we get him. He's just won player of the year in the Eredivisie

Believable2 Unbelievable0

When you say you're pretty close to his dream club .. does that mean in distance. For example you're 4 miles down the road from Arsenal?

according to ssn benny may leave in the summer as he wants to move 'foward' to a 'bigger club'. I dont think he is good enough for us never mind any of these so called bigger clubs

"If there is a change at Tottenham - some more money is made available - I wouldn't be against the idea of staying, but otherwise I'll try to move forwards." - BAE. He did already say he was in it for the money and it does look that way.

Thats the thing though - I wonder where he'd go. Almost all the places he could go are either too big for him (RM, Barca) or don't need him. I reckon he's trying for a new contract after seeing rose getting sent off and seeing how little cover we have at lb

I read all these rumours n gossip coloumns but like most spurs fans always feel other clubs will step in at the last minute and ruin our plans. please levy get the check book out early this year and get our signing done b4 the euros so other clubs dont use out scouting networks for there own benefit again

Hi Eds love your work, just wondering weather you think our transfer budget will be bigger if we do or do not make CL? or if HR stays or goes?
Just thinking there might be more urgency if we don't make CL.

Also getting a new manager could be expensive but a larger budget could possibly be provided to start him off?

Any thoughts?

{Ed008's Note - It's got to be bigger if qualification to the Champions League need to spend to stay there on a consistent basis and improve the squad as much as you can. I see what you mean by if the club were not to qualify for the Champions League and Europa League qualification was made instead that's really 50/50 my opinion theirs no signs if their were to be changes. I think Harry will stay till his contract ends in 2013 and then from there we'll if he renews or a new manager is in. Why do you think Tottenham haven't spent as much in last 2 seasons ? I think it's cause they were waiting for a summer to spend and improve the squad and really push on in the Premier League + Champions League. Hopefully key players like Bale and Modric stay that would show intent!
Just my opinion and would like others to have their say.

IMO Levy will surely either offer redknapp a new contract at the end of the season or look to part ways. If he doesn't we will have the same situation as this season, speculation and uncertainty over whether he will be there or not. I understand people's reservations about HR, but if we can bring in 3 or 4 in the window and rebalance the squad i think he can take us forward; people have to remember it hasn't been easy for him this year, the court case took a lot out of him and so did the england speculation. Getting rid of Redknapp would essentially put us in a position where we have to start again, new managers, new players, new ideas. Success is built on gradual evolution and continuity, I certainly hope redknapp gets a new contract if we get CL football.

Yesterday whilst the first team were trying to win at villa park, i had the privilage of watching a thfc legand team the likes of galvin miller brooke falco wilson bavid and garath howells, they wore the shirt with pride and still hated losing giving everything for thfc even if they had seen better days, i honestly think it was a joy to see players still playing for the shirt not driven by money big transfer fees and they were so friendly after the match. i wish a few of todays modern footballers would take a look i have more respect for yesterdays heros than todays premadonnars, come on steve p get well spurs and execter fans are all behind u

When i posted thistext i dident tnk yet another player would think hes bigger than the club i have had serious doubts abt bae all season and he if like many others doesnt want to play for the shirt sod him let him go, i jokely asked clive wilson if he was avaqilable for sunday and he if not have been retired would hve loved to answer the call. To all spurs players their was a tottenham before your egos took over their will be a thfc once your cold and in your box so if you think you are to big for our club i will hire the driver to take you away, long live thfc not journeymen
