Ed002, a mate of mine who supports Chelsea said to me about 6 months ago that Chelsea had some sort of first option or an agreement to buy Lazar Markovic but now it lookslike he is off to Liverpool. Was this true about Chelsea do you know?

Lovren has his head set on Liverpool. It's a shame levy doesn't appear to feel the same about any transfers. As usual we fall behind the top four because when the top four are buying, levy invites Greg Wallace to try the menu for next season. Honestly I wish he knew how to prioritise, as last time I checked we were a football club not a circus run by clowns. French media are reporting we are close to snapping up Remy but that's likely to be untrue with the Arsenal interest. Best case scenario we get him in September at this rate.

Do you honestly expect us to spend £25m on a defender?? When will Spurs fans wake up and realise we will never be that club as long as we are not in the top 4 year after year!!
You are missing my point. I don't expect to buy the whole Real Madrid/Barcelona team (which seems to be what Arsenal are doing unfortunately) I just don't like being so dormant and behind the pack in the transfer window.

Until we get a bigger stadium we cannot buy these players with the ffpr.
There are better defenders about for less money than Louvren . Yes he is a good defender but £25 million, is the world mad . All the complaints about foreign players coming here don't add up when clubs are expected to pay silly amounts for average British players . How can you pay £30 mill? Plus for Shaw yet get Moreno for £22 mill or Rojo for £15 mill? Or Ross Barclay for £25 mill plus when Eriksen was £11 mill? Things don't add up and by setting an amount of British players needed in the squad, the FA have added a premium to British players whether they are good or not .
Quite agree there Davo the premier has set a president but it is essential for the home grown talent to be given HOME support!
