Who do you think spurs should get next season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Id like to see us move for Fabio Coentrao, Gonzalo Higunain and Christian Benteke. I think these are realistic signings without losing Bale.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be very happy with Coentrao, Damiao and Moutinho. Along with keeping Danny Rose and Andros Townsend

Agree0 Disagree0

Realistic for a CL side that doesn't have levy holding the purse strings.
Lovely thought but I think not.

Agree0 Disagree0

People keep going on about Fabio Coentrao and Benteke, but I have watched Coentrao quite a few times for RM and his defending is about as good as BAE and any player coming from RM is surely going to be used in a player + cash swap deal for Bale. I would love to see Higuain at the lane (with Bale tho) but again because of the RM link and if we have no CL football next season can't see it happening. Same with Benteke, would be okay but not sure if it takes us to the next level and I think villa would want around 25-30m for him and I don't think he's worth that, 12-15m tops, also with Benteke everyone keeps raving about him but he has had a similar season to Michu (who is more of an AM) and no one seems to mention him. We certainly need 2 strikers, a LB, a def CM to partner Sandro and a winger for cover/competition someone like Ben afra who has been linked with us or maybe Robben who is said to be surplus at Bayern when Pep goes there would be good and if Newcastle go down what about a punt on Cabaye for a DCM?.

As for the strikers I think it could be a case of a pin in the phone book as to who we want to buy and who we actually get. Think DL/AVB will have completely different ideas when it comes to the transfer window. I personally would like to see Dzeko and Gomez come in but I know it won't happen (But like the rest of us I can dream) and we will probably end up with Defoe, Ade and Andy Carroll or some like that. LB is wide open think we would all like Baines, but that won't happen unless Moyes leaves in the summer. We will have Rose back who has had a good season at Sunderland, but think we need to look at an established LB, what about some like Aleksandar Kolarov?

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely with Townsend as cover on the wings we won't have to worry there. Also didn't we buy Fryers for left back? Or is this another case of buying a young player and never giving them a chance, eg ; Coulibaly?

Call me cynical but I'm not surprised by today's chav score.
Old red nose picked a crap team, I wonder why?
They didn't seem to try. I wonder why?
I've never seen a utd team so negative. I wonder why?
Does old sad face think he may benefit from us not being in CL?
Damn right he does.
He is now hoping the chavs turn us over and bale kicks up a stink about no CL and wants a move.
We now need to win all 3 games, and if I'm honest, after yesterday, I can see us getting 4 points max.
5 place for us I now nailed on I'm my opinion and I hope levy tells old sad face to fack off when he comes knocking for bale, lloris, dembele etc.
I know it probably hasn't happened but like last season, I'm starting I feel thoroughly stitched up.

After Chelsea win at Utd I think they are as good as qualified for CL. I was impressed by them and based on our performances over the last few games, and without Lennon/ Dembele it will take something special for us to take anything from the bridge. Our only hope now is that the Gooners slip up. Chelsea were full of running and passion today. No sign of tiredness/ lethargy etc and some of their players have played more games then most of our squad. We need to sort out the following going forward:-
1) Our defence - we have been very poor all season and in last three seasons and must correct this going forward. A solid defence is the backbone of a good side and it installs confidence in the rest of the team knowing that you do not have to score 1 or 2 goals just to draw.
2) We have literally collapsed in the run in over the last couple of seasons. To say we are tired is bull s--t. Why are other teams ( Wigan) not tired. We need to sort this out and if necessary increase our fitness levels. I am always impressed the way Man U keep going in every match. They never give the impression that they are tired. They would be scared of their lives to do so ie. Fergie would have their guts for garters. That is why they are normally in the running for the treble. Tired can not be an acceptable excuse.
3) We have players who are not fully committed. Unless a player is prepared to give 100% every game, then we do not want or need him at Spurs.

It also helped that Manchester United didn't seem bothered and fergie picked a weakened team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't agree. I watched the match and I thought that for a team that did not need to break any legs, Man U competed very well and created one or two good chances. Where exactly are you saying the team was weakened? Carrack was the only absentee that would normally be playing!

The Don

Agree0 Disagree0

So lindegard, Evans, Valencia, Anderson would normally start in front of Rooney, de gea, Ferdinand, kagawa in any other match. I think not.
I can see old red nose drinking his wine and saying to himself
'Zeki fryers, have that'

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, you are probably right. Forgot about Lindegaard. De gea would probably have saved the goal. But it was still a good side and they did compete just like they did against the Gooners. A previous poster said that Chelsea winning would be best result for us, would take pressure off them and might not give a hundred on Wednesday, particular with European final coming up. Will be an interesting two weeks.

If u think that we will not give it a 100% then your in trouble! we will be up for it big time! just 1 more win then top 4 is ours AND then we can relax and watch u and arsenal scrap it out while we get ready for ANOTHER cup final

You are a hypocrite perky.
I remember your taking the crap out of us for getting 'spurs day' night football last season when you somehow won the CL.
Now you are in the final of the same competition and bigging it up.
You can't have it both ways. I've read comments on other sites from chavs laughing at us again for probably finishing 5th now and getting Europa league. I hope you won't be watching your 'next' final and I hope your a embarrassed to be in the Europa league final.
Actually, I called you hypocrites. I don't think you are. I think you are just thick.

Agree0 Disagree0

With a £250million squad, you should be in finals every season pinky.
I know the price of silver has gone up a bit on the stock market but the price abramovic pays for silver is just ridiculous.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here we go THAT money buys u success boring old dribble u keep spouting out can u PLEASE get a better come back

pinky

Agree0 Disagree0

And how am I bigging up our cup final! am just saying we can relax if we beat u and get ready for the final without worrying bout top 4

pinky

Agree0 Disagree0

'Another' cup final you mean.
I'm not spouting the money thing.
I would of loved enic to have taken up abramovic s offer for the club and for him to have filled our trophy cabinet with his millions too but it wasn't meant to be for spurs and you are reaping the benefits of that. By the way, how can there be another come back or a better comeback? If we all ignore that, then you are using the Kerry dixon's and David speedies again but you aren't are you. Like man city, you have bought the best, you deserve to be where you are with the money/wages spent at your club, so to ignore that is a bit silly really. You are in ' another' cup final because of your squad, no other reason. Not a brilliant youth policy, not brilliant coaching but a bought squad. Arsenal and spurs will be 4th and 5th plainly because we can't live with the money spent by yourselves, city and united. Even you must admit that.

Agree0 Disagree0

What dribble AGAIN! I think u find that u have spent a hell of a lot over the years urself so stop with the whole money side of it! us and city have brought the best BUT we both got booted of of the champs early and the pair of us are miles away from utd! are youth policy is not brillent u say well last time I checked we in the fa youth cup final for the 3rd time in 4 yrs and got to the next gen final! and now we seeing players like ake getting a chance! your living in self pity hanging on to the same money buys u success trash that makes u feel better if u miss out on top 4

pinky

Agree0 Disagree0

Perky,

Your right mate we have spent spent our fair share in the transfer market over the last few years just like ARSEnal, however ours and ARSEnal' spending is small in relative comparisons to your lot, ManC and Man United and all our spending like ARSEnal' is all self generated cash, not some oil rich mafia tycoon with deep pockets. Even the dumbest of Chavs have to admit everything you have achieved recently is due to the spending power of your owner, without him, there would never have been the likes of Mourinho, Essein, Drogba, J Cole, Malauda, Carvalho, Alex, A Cole, Ramires, Mata, Mikel, Cech, Luiz, Oscar, Hazard, Torres, Ba, even the likes of cahill wouldn't have joined. And if you can't honestly see that then you are one very very short sighted football fan.

Don't get me wrong you are where you are and have won what you have won BUT it is because of RA money and good luck to you for that but when it finshing and it will end eventually whether that's this year next year or in 5-10 years things will go back to the way they were.

Agree0 Disagree0

If roman leaves and that's a big if there will be others who will be intrested in buying the club! roman will be here for a long long time he looking at a new staduim! but just say he did leave there be a lot of intrest in chelsea

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we have spent a lot Kevin. We are where we should be. Battling arsenal for 4th. We can't expect any better than that. We have spent no where near you or city. We can't pay the wages of you or city or united, so we expect the better/greedier players to go to you, city or united. Oscar and hazard for example.
You really need to wake up. Yeah you have been successful. You have been in the CL e ery season since abramovic took over. Doesn't that explain something. You qualified once 3 years before he took over. After one good season. Just like we did 2 years ago. Man city were a mid table team until they got taken over. Now they are reigning champions and top 2. How did that happen? Money is your answer. You where a mid table/top half team, now look, the very same reason as city.
You can't come on here, outspend another team 10 fold and then take the piss when you finish higher. You don't seem to want to grasp the fact that money got you top 4 status for the last 10/12 seasons. Why are you in denial about this? If it was my team, I wish it was by the way, then it would be quite obvious to see that money and nit coaching/football skill got us where we are. By the way, your youth policy, you got no chance. Yeah you might be inning thus and winning that at youth level but say when lampard or cole leave/retire will a youth player be promoted? No. Someone will be bought.

Agree0 Disagree0

You finished 6th last season.
You spent nearly £100million.
Now you are top 3.
Do the maths will ya.

Jeez, some of these chavs are hard work.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, how can you say don't mention the money.
It is the only reason you are where you are.
It's like me splitting with my misses but staying together, and forgetting about the women I've shagged behind her back lol.
You really are a tool Kevin.
