It has nothing with the team coming up short.
when harry decides that a certain match is sacrificable for the benefit of something else, that's exactly what he does.
man u away last year in the cup.we even scored first thru pav, but the lack of effort was obvious.some players didn't even get their shirts dirty, such was the conviction, or lack of it.
fulham away in the cup this year, same story.
his lack of enthusiasm for the eufa cup a couple of years ago was obvious, even though it seemed we could qualify after a good finish to the season.we finished 6th.
it seemed h/ r was proved right, with our 4th place the next year.
i personally hope we don't qualify, as it would probably benefit our top 4 challenge next season if we dont.

i can see where your coming from but in honesty i hope we do qualify as it will bring us more money plus new faces.
it looks like all our big names have commited themselves to the club which is a massive plus. they know with a few signings in the right areas we could push on.
we've lacked a goal scorer this season plus a energetic strong right back which has cost us in alot of games. .especialy the draws to smaller teams. them gaps will be filled next season and im pretty sure a big name striker will head in our direction. if we secure these signings then top 4 next season looks a massive plus.
i don't know what striker would be available to us but i do know that micah richards would fill that right back slot nicely, and with the man management skills harry has we could expect alot more from richards, that's just my opinion anyway.
as for the striker hunt porto are willing to let there strikers leave if the price is right. (hulk and falcao) adebayor looks set to be leaving city so that option is also available.
falcao would fit the bill, amazing talent. .i prey harry gets this guy. wears number 9 and could take pavlychenkos shirt.
