Things aren't all that bad. We have improved our squad. Again making a profit. The Sainsburys is open at the ground so I'm guessing an announcement might be coming regarding our stadium.
One other thing, we need a Thankyou from the wet spam fans. We kept a certain Carlton cole fit for them so he could rejoin them today lol
What a phone call that must if been, sorry mr cole, we released you and now, because we haven't signed anyone, we need you to come back lol. You couldn't make it up.
So things aren't all that bad really, then again, they could of signed bendtner

In reply too the spurs team for Norwich game and the season ahea. Mine would be
Lloris
Walker chariches kaboom Verts
Sandro (cappoue when fit)paulinho
Lamela holtby
Erikson
Soldado

This is just my opinion. I've seen chariches play a few times and, for me, he is a starter every match. The man is a rock.
Holtby has the energy to hustle a whole match but the touch to unlock a defence. Him and erikson would be a killer for any team.

Sorry. This was for the spurs teams thread

AFC in peace.

I think ye did exceptionally well in window and strengthened virtually every position. Something we didn't that I think will cost us but either way I just want to get your opinions

Bale or Ozil?

Well done on flogging him for as much as you did, no one is worth that

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bale every time! Proven goal scorer, with a killer instinct!
To be honest, why did you buy Ozil when you needed defensive midfielder?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ya I think I would have preferred a gk cb cdm cm. But 50 assits in three seasons, him and cazorla will surely make it rain

Agree0 Disagree0

Sheeny other positions should have been sorted but Ozil too good a player to let get away took a while to confirm though bet it dragged even more for you guys but did you see what one scally wrote last night "Ozil failed his medical last night at Arsenal due to a dust-induced asthma attack after the being shown the trophy room"! cheeky bugger

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if either of us keep the Chavs out of the top four, it will make me happy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Easily Bale and I would rather Eriksen too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha ha ha ha cockney magic you should go into stand up. Eriksen over ozil.

Dears Mr Levy,
I have been a critic of yours for a good few years, and I think you deserved it but I would like to say ' a very very big thank you ' for the very large investment in our club this transfer window! I know that when its all balanced out against our sales etc, its practically break even but we can't complain!
Not only did you get us probably one of the best managers in the premier league, but we now have not only one of the squads but one of the best teams .
So although I am not going to apologise, I do thank you from deep inside, and I am pleased to do so!
Ps
Being cheeky now but could you do two other things!
Give Ade a kick up the arse and tell him to shape up or ship out, and tell Real Madrid to stick their partnership up their arse and sign one with Yeovil town instead!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Due to the fact that I live near Yeovil, I do pay a particular interest in there goings on and results as well as the mighty Spurs and I am pretty sure that they already have a partnership with Barcelona going on. I think Messi learnt his trade there on a loan deal in his early years!

Agree0 Disagree0

Large investment.! Sorry did I miss something.? because from where iam sitting we have only spent about 5 mill net. If that. Plus we ave probs got more off the wages than what we brought in. Yes we now have a much better squad but we no longer ave that world class player. Yes the new signings could develop but they are not proven yet. All I can say aswell is if soldado gets injured we are bk to square one of having two not good enough strikers. that's if ade will even play for us again. So personally I can't see hw we have had a massive investment. We have just spent what we got. We may have enough to last us till jan but then i'd expect 2 top signings not squad players then we may see the investment

Agree0 Disagree0

When we say a 'large investment' it doesn't always mean financial.
We have made a large investment in the squad, signing 7 international players. Our squad is significantly better than last season.
We have replaced bale, Hudds, Parker, Livermore, caulker with paulinho, erikson, lamela, cappoue, chariches, soldado and chadli. Now, only a blinkered person doesn't see that as an upgrade and as for no world class player, have you seen much if erikson or lamela? They are young, both very very good and can develop into better players. Hy some spurs fans always look for negatives is beyond me.
Just stand up and get behind your team ffs, instead if moaning about ifs and buts. I praise levy for what he has done this window and you are right, he ain't spent a penny. Top business in my book.

Agree0 Disagree0

Glass half full or half empty?
Net spend this window I believe actually puts about £2.5M in Levy's pocket! Plus the TV money etc means there is a big profit already in terms of hard cash. Certainly a good year for investers one would expect. Maybe even more could have therefore been spent on players, but 7 is already a lot and they are all better than current it seems (as Bale has gone). So, its all good business and if it works, it is also all good for Spurs. We might have wanted more, but 2 months ago would have dreamed happily of less. Proof of the pudding is in the eating so we need to just let the team come together for a few weeks and can really only judge the success later in the season. It will all be about games won, points got and silverware - everything else is just numbers! What I really hope is that Levy, who has netted a profit in 4 of the last 5 seasons through transfers, will take all the money and invest in the club and the new stadium. We don't want to have 10 years of no transfers while we try and pay for it, we want to take hard fought capital and invest it for the long term. I am sure Levy is doing that with some of the players he has brought in - hoping to make money to then re-invest - but he knows success is what brings the most rewards so I am suer he wants this team to go out and win. I am behind the logic and behind the team - COYS!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Levy and his team have worked miracles this transfer window. Without champions league football we have managed to attract some of the best talent out there. Davo i'm with you - a BIG thank you to Joe, Levy, Baldini and AVB!

We might have broken even, and some may think this is a negative, but with a new stadium being built and the difficulties that come with integrating too many players I think its very sensible business! COYS

We've both improved our squads this summer, you more so but you have lost Bale, which enabled us to sign Ozil.

I know you lot are saying he's not what we need, but he is a real world class player, one of the best in his position, really going to galvanize the team and bring morale up. He will also help us attract more quality players and keep our own.

I think are starting 11 is better than yours and a midfield of Ramsey, Wilshire and Ozil is scary especially when we also have Carzola.

It's going to be a great season in which I think we will finish higher than you again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pains me to say, but i'm devo'd you got Ozil. If you can keep your squad injury free then it will be close between us again. A couple of injuries in key positions before January and you going to struggle though

Agree0 Disagree0

All this talk about ozil making them contenders, does this make them a 'one man team?'
Now, where have I heard that before?

Whilst we had bale, thinking back a lot of the players where comfortable expecting/ knowing he would get us out of trouble.
Look a holtby he looked a more relaxed and able to shine player

I expect/ hope the likes of

Adi holtby dumbele sigs ( the old boys) can now show is just what they are capable off without being in bales shadow

Personally I would have loved to see spurs get Luke Shaw today but hopefully he will be a target in January!

Me levy
I hope no more business is done with real again
Even though he gets us top money I'm fed up of them using the name of Madrid to disrupt our players, leaving levy no option but to sell.
Great work by baldini and avb
Can't wait to see out best 11 start

Apologies for my down beat message
Was expecting a late surprise like always

I stand by all my negative thoughts about levy in the past but fair play to him yes he didn't put his hand in his pocket but invested every penny we got for players in the squad

We all thought bales money would only be half spent

I levy I respect now
