It's not all down to levy he will penny pinch and faff around when it comes to money. If our owner who is said to have a 2.5 billion fortune would show more intrest in our club and its football and free up some extra money we could bring in the players we need.He would soon get a return on his investment with us being able to compete at the top lever

As a sad hopeless addict of this site and Spurs fan of far to many years I am intrigued by the constant references to us in the guise of DL being "tight" or penny pinching. Like it or not fellow Spurs, DL does his total best to run our beloved club as a proper business that trys to operate at a profit. It's not that our rich backers don't have the dosh it's perhaps that they try to do things correctly so our club will prosper. Why would nt anyone haggle for 2 mil if you can get it re Mr V. I support Mr Levy 110% and have no doubt he will always try and get ther best deal for Spurs. Yes we have made a few rubbish signings no doubt but lets just wait and see.
By the way does nt it just warm your heart to observe the goings on at the Bridge. There they are E Champs and yet they just like their owner know deep down it just did nt cut the mustard did it and now they have to spend another 200 mil to try and get a manager and a team to play football in the style that we already do ! Classic
I am an accountant and I could not agree more with you about having to balance the books ie. look at Rangers/Portsmouth/Leeds to name just a few. However, not signing a striker and/or a CB last January when we were all crying out for it has cost us third place and a potential £40 million loss of revenue and the ability to attract the top stars. My problem with Mr. Levy is not in his ability to balance the books but in appearing to be too conservative when the need to take action arises.
The Don
But, don, we signed a cb and a striker in january! have you already forgotten nelsen and saha?
Saha has been released so that would only leave nelson. What a great signing he was?
I was being facetious
Look lets face it Harry is the best person to balance our books......how many pay offs has he had for Crouchy?
He knows how to wheel a deal. Put our beloved club in his hands.

Watching the u.s.a brazil game and the left back from brazil fabian johnson would be a great option for spurs. Looks a real talent and would come cheap from hoffenheim
