I see silly season has started. We are being told over £100million worth of players are 'definitely signing' and that is just on this forum, today.

I, for one, won't believe a word of it until I see one of these players holding a shirt.

I wish these 'itk' would just do one.

Same every 6 months.
Pathetic, the lot of ya.

Ok... Then why come on a RUMOUR site?

Agree3 Disagree3

This is a banter/rumour site.
Not a pure bs attention seeking site.

Now if someone had proper info (ie proof) then post it. If not, don't bother.

Not that difficult is it surely.
Jeez.....

COYMFS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, does it really bother you that much? The thing I get sick of is ppl moaning they don't like what ppl are writing even though its the whole point. It's the reason ppl come back on here every window. It's not hard to tell the difference between bs and truth so here's a tip to help with the stress... Read comment/don't agree/move on. It really is that easy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wot you fail to realise mate is that these weirdos get people's hope up who genuinely want to believe all this crap that is spurted.
Take a look at oracles posts on the rumours page for example.
I, for one, are sick and tired of these m.orons flooding our banter site with crap.
I, like you, are allowed to have an opinion and will post as such. I post my opinion, not utter attention seeking crap and if I have an opinion on those who post misleading information, then I will tell them what I think.
So now, you read this, take it in and move on and get yourself all excited about the likes of oracle. Actually, you probably are the oracle because you seem to be wasting your time defending the likes of him.

COYMFS. (look I've signed my name)

Agree1 Disagree0

By the way, take a piece of your own advice.
If you don't like my comments, read comment/don't agree/move on.
It really is that simple.

COYMFS.

Yes ppl do post utter rubbish on here, all my point is, no need to lose sleep over it. You are really hyped over all the comments that are so obviously rubbish and there's no need for it.
As for the personal attacks, I'm not getting wound up and starting with the childish comments I'm just saying laugh at the comments that are obviously made up and you'll sleep better at night.
I have nothing against you, most of what you post on here is very valid and well thought out sorry if I wound you up, not my intention.
Not impressed you can sign your name, it is very easy, learnt how to at a very young age.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure you did learn that at a very young age. I don't see why you have the need to come on here and make derogatory comments about a genuine post, anonymously I might add.
I have no intention in getting wound up by the likes of you my friend. I have not intentionally made any comments, childish in your opinion, to try an upset you. But judging by your sarcastic attempted put downs then it seems I have upset you.
Sarcasm really us the lowest form of wit.
Now, you obviously have an agenda by posting on here today. I'm not going to waste my time with pathetic bickering that you obviously crave.
I'm going to enjoy my teams triumph (again) now, needless to say, I'm not sure how your team got on today but judging by your posts, not as well as spurs.
Happy new year to one and all that use this site. Even the invaders that post pure tosh on here.

COYMFS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol wind ya neck in mate. My team won today also : )
Looked at some of your other posts (thanks to you signing off) and you are very negative so I won't take it personally.

Signed Anom (lmao)

Agree0 Disagree0

God I got a stalker now. If you don't like my comments, then don't read them. Like you said, I sign off. Skip past them, instead of trying to ridicule a supposedly fellow spurs fan.
Besides comment directed at oracle, ive never read another spurs fan rounding on comments with so much sarcasm.
What's your problem ?
Like you said, you don't sign off, so you can comment and run. Well done for that. Are you sure you ain't my ex, she always wanted the last word too! So go on, let's hear more sarcasm.
You are boring me now, so I will sign off for the last time from this childish spat. I await your last grown up comment and if I'm negative, it is my right to be, as us your right to respond to anyone's comment in an anonymous way I might add. By the way, if you are a spurs fan, cut out the sarcasm toward fellow fans. Save it for invaders to this site please.

January is historically a quiet month for Spurs, and AVB has dampened rumours by stating that we have no targets. It would be great to hear all your views including ED, in respect of the following positions

GK - Friedel has been a great servant but at 41 yrs and with Lloris in top form, surely worth cashing in on him whilst he is still worth a few quid. With Cudicini looking like he is heading for USA, and Gomes surely off back to Brazil, i believe it is time to enter the race for Jack Butland.

LB - BAE is surely the right man for the permanent position. He was superb before getting injured, and with Vertonghen able to switch the LB and Naughton we have cover for this position.

CB - With Kaboul nearly back we have great options when you add Vertonghen, Caulker, Dawson & Gallas. It would be sensible to let QPR buy Dawson if they want to pay £10m for a 29 yr old defender. With Alderweireld an option form Ajax, surely reuniting him with Vertonghen is the right move. Immensely strong and quick, his game is far more suited to AVB's preferred high line. He also can play at RB providing far more options and balance.

RB - Walker has looked a little average this season, but he is gaining confidence and growing with every game. With Naughton able to cover in his best position, and assuming the purchase of Alderweireld we would have the cover.

LM - Bale is simply outstanding but we certainly need cover. One option would be to sign Willian who can play LM, CAM or RM, and this would solve all our problems. He would get loads of first team exposure and allow us to rest him alongside Lennon and Bale. Another option not ever discussed would be to play Adebayor upfront and put Defoe on the Left. When he has drifted into that role he looks electrifying. He is fast, strong and can cross the ball as well as the best of them. Very controversial, but I would love to see him play there for the Reading game.

CDM - Sandro and Dembele look amazing and with Parker, Huddlestone and Livermore we look like we have ample cover. My fear is Parker is 32 and has had numerous recurring Achilles problems for 3 yrs. I know Harry Redknapp would pay silly money for him, and I would cash in and invest in a player like Moutinho right now. If Harry paid £10m for Parker, we could buy a player like Diame who looks simply outstanding.

CAM - Assuming we did sell Parker and bought Diame or Moutinho, then I would push Dembele up between Bale and Lennon. I know we have Dempsey, Sigurdssom and Carroll, but I fear we are wasting the brilliance of Dembele so deep. Either way we would have superb options and balance which would allow key player to be involved.

LM - Lennon has improved a lot the last two seasons, and his final ball has become far more intelligent. As above Willian will provide the competition and cover on the left as he is dual footed and can play across the park.

CF - Defoe has been fantastic this year, and Adebayor has shown glimpses of brilliance, but I just cannot fail to notice the number of chances that go begging. The midfield is creating so many chances that even a player like Chamakh would be scoring goals, and one only need to count the number of chances missed in the last 3 games to evidence the problem. I cannot help but think how many goals a player like Aguerro or Van Persie would have scored, and wonder whether a Benteke or Papisse Cisse would have converted more. We have players like Ceballos, Obika and Coulibaly who are all progressing well, and I want them to get their chance when they are ready. The problem is we need a world class star like Damiao to demonstrate what we have been missing, Adebayor can provide good cover or leave if he doesn't like it, and Defoe at 29yrs can stay until one of our kids are ready. I am sure Harry Redkanpp will pay £10m for Defoe when he is around 31 yrs old, until then play him as he will score plenty of goals.

In summary we need to move on and get rid of players like Gomes, Cudicini, Bentley & Jenas. We need to cash in on ageing stars like Parker and Dawson, and start investing on real class. Alderweireld, Moutinho, Willian and Damiao would transform the team to real title contenders, the only problem for Levy is to deliver this over the next 12 months. I know Damiao is coming in January, Willian is possible but his price is rocketing, and the rest is wishful thinking.

If we look carefully amungst the usual oracle style of an early transfer window scatter gun essay, and before we shot him down (can you see what I've done there?), there is actual one or two rather sensible suggestions here.

BUT, in the fast approaching new world of ffp and even if we can recoup the values above in sales, I think theres more chance of platting p'ss than Levy spending that amount of money in one window!!

P.s. If your reading this Mr. Levy (lol) please feel free to prove Oracle right and me wrong.

I do not understand why most of you say Bae is "our best left back". He is a hopeless defender, is consistently caught ball watching, makes some dreadful clearances ( remember the one straight to Van Persie last year for gooners second goal just on half time ?) and he is prone to giving away penalties. Yes he is good going forward but that does not compensate for all his other shortfalls. I say sell him to Chelsea and give Naughton an extended run. He was impressive on Saturday.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

How about we sell benni and get banes from Everton
Mr g

Agree6 Disagree4

The Don,

Whilst agree Naughton is looking very good, he is not a natural LB, so this is a position that needs addressing, I beleive naughton has earned a run in the team and I would like to him given some games at his natural RB position, This might also give Walker the wake up call he needs as his form this season has been shocking.
