------Friedel-------------Walker-----Kaboul------Vetroghen-----Ekouto

-----Lennon-----Sandro------Parker--------Bale

----------------Van der vaart------------------------

----------------Defoe/Damiao----------------------Do all this with Modric Money also heard Higuain could be apart of the deal it is about 15% likely but it is what i heard

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Do all of what with the modric money?

Firstly Modric ain't been sold yet, the only 2 players in your line that are any different are Big Jan and Damiao, Big Jan was signing way before the season ended so thats money gone before Modric even said he wanted to leave AGAIN, and Damiao, has pretty much stated he wouldn't sign for us. If we can Big Jan, and another striker your line up is pretty good, think defoe is not upto playing the lone striker role.

Would personally rather have Luuk De Jong from Twente than Damiao now.

It's very unlikely that we will play that formation if, as expected, AVB is the new manager. He is loyal to the 4-3-3 formation, and is yet to use any other system.

Good old Harry!

Two months ago Spurs were punching above there weight

Fans should be glad of top four, a great season bla bla bla

Fans should remember where they were 4 seasons ago!

Now guess what, he has left a team capable of top four every season and can challenge for the title under AVB

The guy never stops blowing his own trumpet!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

What do you think when he kept saying about how much it would cost, any future employer, to take him away from spurs. He kept saying how big and massive the figure would be. Dig at spurs I think. He wanted that job and was basically saying the compensation payout, to spurs, would of been to big and that the reason he was overlooked. That is my opinion anyway.
He still can't keep shut

Agree2 Disagree1

Yeh, the whole interview had some undeniable subtle undertones. saying the next step is the title; that he was basically priced out of the england job; repeating how he'd taken the club from nothing. thing is, despite all the s**t he talks, it's true. you can't argue with the best seasons and best football for spurs in the history of the premier league. i would be equally bitter if i was treated the same way, regardless of my media rants.

i'm just completely sick of all these tits who attribute all our failures to harry and none of our successes. yes, top 4 should be considered a success. you need a lobotomy if you think it's even close to nailed on for next season.

harry is right, we have the squad to move forward without him. but do we have the manager? no we don't, at least not for a season or two. any coach, no matter how capable, will struggle to get us into the top 4 in their first season. it's the most competitive league in the world and we can't depend on that changing. and will levy give the next manager 3 or 4 seasons to develop solidarity and a long term vision? well he never has, so...

if levy is trying to start fresh with a young squad and young players, etc., it can only be expected that enic are planning to sell to some clueless sugar daddy. personally i don't want that because it would destroy our traditions and history as it has for other clubs.

just wait and see. i sincerely hope i'm wrong...

Yoann Gourcuff is being lined up to replace the outgoing Luka Modric.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Now, that name is better than anything I have read so far. Maybe affalley. Def not moutinho (too expensive) or the player from Madrid (too young). My opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you want the best you have to pay the money! Moutinho is a must in my eyes, especially after his confident performance against spain.

Saint

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as Gourcuff is a good player, Moutinho and sahin are much much better, Sahin at 22 is not to young, but agree Moutinho is too expensive, would love to see montalivo at the lane, but don't think that is gonna happen. will probably end up with just Siggi is the midfield, which is a very good signing IMO and does improve the squad, but when Modric goes we will need someone else.

1st July now so thats see how many of these so called ORACLE crystal ball premonitions acually happen.

So everybody get behind the new manager and players who ever comes in and maybe we all have a great season BUT I won't expect less the last season as to me that is called failing

I just hears that we are in contact with alvaro periera of porto, in my opinion this is a position that doesnt need changing as benoit has been so consistent all season

Believable1 Unbelievable2

My Grand Mother can defend better then Benoit. It was he who cleared 15 yards to RVP for the Gooners second goal just before half time. He gets out of position on a consistent basis and then fouls (normally inside the box) Yes, he is good going forward but he can not defend. He is the weak link in our back four. Count the number of goals conceded from his side. You will note that none of the top clubs have ever tried to sign him!

How can you say we need cdm most when we have sandro and thudd its another attacking central midfielder and strikers along with van and sig that we need mattyido

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't BAE also stat that he wanted out after we failled to qualify for the CL?

Think that BAE is the weak link in our back 4, but would much rather see Balzaretti than Periera, but with all these links with current and former Porto players, i think its a safe bet to say that our boss IS going to be AVB.

THFC4EVER

Agree1 Disagree0

Don...bang on mate!! b.a.e IS our weak link. look how city got the penalty last min in the game. it come from b.a.e hoofing it up there when he could of let the ball out of play or just keep it and pop it back to a player! he had no pressure on him, last min of the game, he hoofs it up there, city take it, switch play, attack, and they get the pen

Does anyone think huntalaar is a realistic transfer for us, according to foot mercato schalke are possibly going to sell him to a epl team (spurs and newcastle) because they have almost completed transferring bentner into there team.

There are a lot of stories that are very bias towards Redknapp.
How do the papers or anyone else know what has been going on behind the scenes, Once the new Manager has been announced there could be a raft of other announcements about players thaht have agreed to sign, all could be done with the full backing of the new man so either put up or shut up if you have up to date information of who will be coming and going, even Ajax manager has come out and said that the Vertogen transfer will happen soon others will follow and Sigurdsson will be next by all accounts.
The biggest stirrers are SKY asking Ex Chelsea and Man City players on who should be Spurs next manager, They do not know what the players are thinking and what the clubs plans are and tere comments are meaningless.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Sly, talksh1t and the papers love red knapp cos h talks to them nd they are prob queuing to sign him as a pundit. They are very biased toward him
Made me laugh the night he left spurs, first 4 emails read out by slyspurts news where fom arsenal fans. Says it all really

if avb is appointed i feel he'll have a lot of work to do. first replacing modric with sigurdsson being the most likely. then we need a cdm to play alongside parker someone like moutinho or martinez or de rossi. then a striker- llorente, remy, cisse or rossi my choices. then i think we need a lb as assou-ekotto isn't that good in my opinion. pereira from porto would be ideal. finally, i think we need two cb's. benatia, sakho, rami, mexes, verthogen or bruno alves would be ideal in my opinion. i know a lot of people will disagree but thats my opinion

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Do you think we are owned by the bank of England . Get real , we couldnt afford half of those players let alone their wages !!
Davo

Agree1 Disagree0

Sigurdsson is more likely fit in the VDV role. Rossi won't be playing before January due to injuries, Parker if he has surgery could well miss the first half of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Assou ekotto is one of the best lbs in the league

Agree0 Disagree3

You must be joking! He can not defend, is constantly caught out of position and prone to give away penalties. Agreed he is good going forward. Why is it none of the top clubs have ever tried to sign him?

Very interesting reports today that should AVB appointed at Spurs his entitlement to £100k a week comensation that Chelsea are paying him for the remainder of the 2 years of his terminated conract ends.
So in effect AVB will be writing off £10 mill ifhe takes the Spurs job.
Now call me daft but I very very much doubt that AVB will work for nothing so if he indeed is appointed we ca be pretty sure that he will be the most expensive manager there has ever been at WHL plussuch an appointment will be saving Chelsea at least £100k a week!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

No matter if AVB takes a job or not Chelsea will still have to pay him! They are the ones who ended his contract so the have to pay him. Lump sum or weekly.

Agree1 Disagree1

I have a sneaky feeling that Laurent blanc will be our new manager because of the reasons you have said.
Chelski will not tie him in for only 3 months, ancelloti got a year

I am really struggling with the thought of Boas becoming our team manager. I (we) saw how this one man decimated a group of quality footballers. A man who took a team and destroyed the 'team' ethic. How an I able to accept curing a bruise by chopping off the limb? Why are we going near this man? He was seen by everyone throughout the football world as sticking by his guns, completely mismanaging his players and disorientating an otherwise functional unit. He needs to realise his vision may not be appropriate for the team out on the pitch. Even when subs are introduced field tactics may need to be changed. Right art this moment I simply don't trust Boas. If he is the chosen one, all I have to say to him is he will only have one game to introduce a positive game otherwise he will he will read of the the wrath of my pain.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

R u going to give the fella a chance, did u give the same rath th hr, when he brought on parker when a win was needed and screwed our season up, thfc is more than a manager support the team the club the players and the manager. give the bloke a chance before trying to get rid

Agree3 Disagree1

I think your find Terry Drogba and the other older members of chavski placed the knives in. AVB plays attacking football and watching chavski against Barca and Bayern its obvious they cant play attacking free flowing football. So lets all get behind him and hope he takes the Mighty Spurs to the next level. Rushie COYS

Agree4 Disagree1

Hear , hear . Jose did it at porto , so did Avb . Its obvious there is a good manager there , but the golden oldies at chavski knew their times were up so they revolted , RB lost his bottle , and AVB ended up paying for it . Remember it cost 13 mill to get this bloke out of Porto .
Anyway , if DL has made up his mind , we cant do anything about it , so get behind the club and give them your support .
Arry has said that anyone can win with his team he left behind , so why are we worrying who takes over . God has spoken , or so he thinks .

Avb got sacked after roman watched the training at cobham for a week..
