Gary Hooper would be perfect fit for spurs. A huge Spurs fan and even played for us at one stage. Scores goals, great shot, power, good pace, strength. Also he wouldn't moan spending time on the bench unlike someone else I know Cough Defoe Cough. Probably cost around 12M.

It maybe we could pay 6ml for Diego Costa.on loan at ratings vallecano from Athletico Madrid twice the player, hell for 12ml u could get caciedo. Pima, harnik, emanuicke, ideye brown or eve yakuba or Danny graham who far better players.
Seriously 12ml for him u might as well wipe your ar*e with that money than buy him... he'd b a good championship player & squad player for bottom half of ol team.

Re the Post from the Don and others. ? Did you say that the Spurs players will have lost faith in Redknapp because he would have taken the England Job ? ? Hello ! Since when did that self centered bunch of oppourtunist money grabbers posing as i.e any Premiership player worth his salt ever show any loyalty to Tottenham or any team for that matter. The only reason Modders is there is because levy was nt going to sell and I make him bang to rights. The sooner these muppets start understanding what a contract is and their obligation to honour it the better. As for Harry, he deserves the benefit of the doubt, he has had a tough season on all fronts. If we win the next three games and get in the CL all will be forgotten but please don't suggest that the Players have any loyalty to anybody except themselves so Harry does nt have to worry on that score. Come on yod Army get behind the boys we can still do this and stick 2 up to all the pundits in the media that delight in our downfall.

In reply to the above (unsigned) post, Harry did not have all those troubles last year and we collapsed in the same manner! I asked what has he ever achieved? very little in my opinion and he has an extremely talented team with two or three outstanding players. If as suggested by others, let Levy does the buying and Harry concentrates on managing the team and stays away from the media, then maybe (grudgingly) he may be ok. I find it hard to overlook our total collapse two years running. I did not mean to suggest that the players had any great loyalty to Spurs (with one or two exceptions) What I was saying was, that they will have no respect for Harry knowing that to all extents and purposes he lost interest in Spurs when he thought the England job was his. Ironic isnt it that his lack of interest in Spurs and his over extensive media coverage probably cost him the England job.

As it stands if RH not HR was given the job today would everyone want redknapp for next year and to get all the trasnfer dealings done ASAP rather than at the end of the market much how arsenal and Chelsea are going about it now so we and the players know what we are dealing with ? Or do we sack hr come te end if we dont have cl and see where that takes us ?
It's all risky really whichever way it gets looked at ?

To all fellow yids.... What ever the choice regarding Harry lets all spread pos vibes and get behind the club.if he stays it ant all bad if he goes we will get som1 better but1 this he must do is tell every1 is he staying or going so we can plan. Y r there so many arse nil fans on here is it coz they r so boring and predictable. Rvp will leave and the best they will sign is Moses from Wigan so bale and mod leaves and...... 80mil on new fresh exciting young talent . Happy days 4 yids

HAHA, Arsenal can attract much better talent than Spurs, Spurs just love the thought of being able to sign big players, until they turn you down. Look forward to mid table mediocrity next season, AGAIN!

Oh like podolski is a big signing..another non scoring striker to go alongside chamakh and gervinho..muppet

Agree0 Disagree3

Non goalscoring striker?

81 games 46 goals first time round for fc koln

87 games 33 goals second spell at fc koln

oh,and just the 43 goals in 95 appearances for germany.

yet another spud mugs himself off and shows they know nothing at all about football.

keep em coming spuds,I always love a good laugh!

LMAO

a VERY happy gooner

Another lumbering german , good goal scorer but no speed at all . If he was as good as you think , wouldnt your parent club , Man s***ty have signed him up straight away ??

If podolski was that good why did bayern offload him. grant holt scores well for norwich maybe you should sign him too. Chamakh scored well before going to your lot so did gervinho. Podolski didnt cut it at a big team so now is going to you and mid table mediocrity. Replacement for RVP haha

Agree1 Disagree2

Tbh podolski has been good for koln and germany, but he failed when he got his big move to bayern.

to be fair though, not every player succeeds at certain teams. do robben, sneijder, huntelaar and vdv suck because they all failed at madrid?

whether you want to admit it or not, all 4 would walk into either of our sides.

I think its a bit to early to be gloating about signings though... if his linging u next season with RVP then yes you may have a point.....

But for someone who 'loves' arsenal RVP aint half taking his time to sign... me thinks podolski will be a replacement.

Podolski was s**te when he went to Bayern (big club) very happygooner seems to of over looked his 15 goals in 71 games! thats right up there with chamaks 8 in 36 lol suppose its good for vhgooner that the arse are no longer a big club!

The thing u have to look at regarding podolski scoring record is he has only scored over 20 goals in a season once & that was in second division of bundes lg, his highest total is 27 when he was 19 in second division.
12 goals in 3 yrs at bayern in all competitions, then u have to look at how many of his goals were from penalty spot, how many were against lower LG opposition in cup competition against lower LG opposition.
At international level most of his goals have come against the likes of san Marino, Luxemburg, faroe islands, northern Ireland, south Africa, Azerbaijan, Wales & teams of that calibre. In fact having looked at who he has scored against at international level the only notable opposition he has scored against is Brazil( friendly) Russia, England, Croatia & turkey(friendly).
If u look at his shots off Target to Attempts on goal It's shocking, u better start wearing crash helmets behind the goal coz he's likely to take somebody's head off in the crowd.
Having said all that he has talent It's just that he can b very frustrating at times, but still he's far better than gervinho so in that way It's a step up, I predict he'l score some absolute screamers & probably get about 10 goals a season, the rest of the time Arsenal fans will b pulling there hair out in frustration at him.
To the goon above do u remember me telling u about juventus over a month ago before papers had it, here's another one for u inter taking to one of your back four & It's not vermalen.. can u quess?

Is it Squillaci? i will drive him there myself! djourou can come along too, half price!

Lucas Podolski is the most under rated striker in European football. His record is simply superb and primarily with a team that lacks financial clout and players. His one blip on the record was at Bayern Munich, but do not forget he joined them at 20 and was brought in as back up for Toni and Klose. He was a young kid caught in the headlights and his part bit role was truly disastrous. Gareth Bale was equally terrible for Spurs, remember the voodoo Bale curse when he went 24 games without a victory. The fans were calling for him to be sold, he was playing with zero confidence and looked like an average player at best. Van Der Vaart was very average at Real before coming to Spurs and do you really think Torres is terrible?

Podolski is strong, aggressive, competitive and has a great eye for goal. His only career blip was in his youth playing second fiddle to more established players. He has excelled with Germany on the International stage for many years, and has even excelled in FC Koln when they offer little talent in support.

Podolski I fear will be a sensation at Arsenal and can only hope he is a replacement for Robin Van Persie. The thought of them playing together with a fit Wilshire and a Vertonghen alongside Vermaellen worries me tremendously. God help us if they get their paring in defence and convince Eden Hazard to join them.

Sadly I conclude that as much as I would love to belittle an Arsenal signing, I feel this one is massive for them. I posted aericle previously about how bad Gervinho, Chamakh, Mertesaker, Squillacci and Frimpong would be and I was right. This time they have got their man and he will prove to be an amazing acquisition for such a small investment.
