Use our rumours form to send us spurs transfer rumours.

This is just an observation. We spent no money in this transfer window ie. The amount spent equalled the amount received for players sold. If you add in last January's window, we are ahead by about £10 million. All the other contenders for the top four spent close to £100 million each and they all finished above us last year. CL qualification is rumoured to be worth £20 million. Mr.Levy is more entent on keeping a healthy balance sheet then he is on investing big in the hope of qualifying for the CL. I would have paid the £24 million for Bony. He is a top class goal scorer and suits the premier league style of play. I expect him to be worth £50 million within two years. I do not think we have any chance of CL qualification. 5th or 6th at best.

Little legs Welshyboyo's back from painting Gran Canaria with the Mrs.

Always the same old same old content in your posts.

Try stretching that muscle in between your ears and posting something but the usual 'tripe'

On a positive note, it's good to see you can now spell. Or is that the one syllable words your now using?

Agree with all the others on here, why on earth did we not get another striker in?Ade probably absent in January,Kane still unproven at this level and Soldado struggles to play as a lone front man. When you throw in the possibilities of injuries, suspensions and loss of form for these three we could be left woefully short in this vital department. No doubt if things do go t*ts up this season Mr Levy will put the blame squarely on Poch's shoulders.
Having said this let's all get right behind the team and the manager and hope for the best.

Agree with all. Horrible transfer window. Levy doesn't want a winning team; he wants a balance sheet. And what happened to the USELESS Franco Baldini? What did he add?

I believe that the other chairmen don't want to deal with Levy. Being a tough negotiator only goes as far as whether the person across the table want to deal with him. And I think he has p*ssed off too many people.

Time for Joe Lewis to give him his walking papers.

what a awful transfer day we needed a striker and we did nothing why didn't we go for welbeck or negredo even borini might have done a job for us we are now left with 3 strikers all season soldado is already injured and ade is off in january for african duty not getting a striker will hit us big time also sad to see sandro go for 6 mill when napoli were offerring 12 mill a few months ago we should have kept siggurdson as he can play a few positions eg up front also can't believe fryers went before naughton and rose yesterday was a shambles

Oh well think we could be in for a long hard season, the 1position we desperately need to strengthen in is up front and what do we sign, 4 defenders a keeper and a CDM. I think levy goes out his way to make a c*nt of the supporters.

My first job this morning if I was on the board at Spurs would be to sack Baldini what on earth does this man do at the club apart from take a big wage.

All I can assume from the disastrous window is that the players that became available Poch didn't want.

I'm very baffled this morning along with a vast amount of other fans. Sandro obviously didn't fit into Poch's plans I accept that. Shame because I thought Sandro was better than what we have in the holding role.

We are crying out for a creative player Erikson is not consistent enough & doesn't look to me like he can run a game for 90 minutes.

I'm not going to say its all doom & gloom - But I think we're going to experience issues this year. On the games so far. West Ham could have been a draw if not a defeat. QPR was one of the worst teams I have seen at the Lane for a few years. they tried 3 at the back & got caught out. Liverpool brought us back down to earth.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Dr, reason Sandro went was we made a profit on who we brought in to replace him!

Agree1 Disagree1

Davo - Profit. I would have thought this was more like MP saying he didn't want him.

The two clubs have agreed an initial £6m fee for the Brazilian midfielder, although future payments mean the transfer COULD end up being worth significantly more.
Didn't we buy him for more than that €10 million

F.F.S.

Stop all the whining and give the new manager and players a chance, especially now they have had a year in the P.L.

We all know that the first year for foreigners is always the hardest to adapt, along with so many changes and a new manager.

All the current top 4 have had time to develop even with their millions injected in to the team, making small changes each year once they have a settled team. We need some stability and formation instead of 7/8 new players every year.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Northern Spur - Open your eyes Guaranga. Sometimes players are not good enough for the PL

I've seen a guy at Chelsea banging in goals for fun. 3 games in. Hazzard, Willian haven't taken a season.

I see a left back at Liverpool the w/e play his 2nd game run the lenght of the pitch & score. It doesn't always take time. Dier ring a bell. he's hit the ground running.

I for one just hope MP is given time, get rid of Baldini & let MP do the short list of players.

Agree1 Disagree2

DR-THFC, your opening line ridicules your complete statement.

Northern Spur - Open your eyes. Northeast spur. dooooaaaa

But in an attempt to respond to your other statements, some players do not take a season, yes given, how many of those are there though?

We are talking about fickle footballers that love their egos massaging all the time. However they are human and some do take time to adjust to the culture change and change of league, albeit not one from seven did for us last year!

You state the left back who ran the length of the pitch and scored, nobody attempted to tackle him, so does that make him a worldy due to one goal and our pathetic performance?

Given, Hazzard had a great 1st season last year, let's see how he fairs this year. and again, yes some player do settle.

My statement is an opinion, which I (and yourself) are entitled too. Clearly we both want our team to be successful, but at what cost. Leeds United!

We were never going to go out and spend another £20-£25m on players this window and this season. be realistic.

I would like to see the stats on which premier league club has the highest turn over of players. I believe we are right up there, so where is the stability in that? You look at the top four over the past 8 / 9 / 10 years. Stable team with 3 or 4 max players in and out. We had 7 last year and something like that year. Given the Red Mancs are in for a complete over haul. but how many others have really had the turn over in managers or players like us.

Agree2 Disagree1

Northeast Spur - Apologies there is a Northern Spur on here. Are you sure your not the same person :-)

You state because one of our players didn't tackle Moreno. ha ha I've just nearly fallen of my chair. That's because they couldn't catch him to tackle him. I'm not saying go a spend 25 million - he cost 12 million. you need to be realistic. Hazzard has already started where he left off last season. He would walk into our team any day of the week. Your comment was players need time to settle - & I'm saying that's not ALWAYS the case

Asprilla
Overmars
Berkamp
Coutino
Suarez
Drogba
Veira
Balotelli
Tevez
Aguero
Cantona

Man City - has been through a few managers. I think Liverpool have been through 3 or 4 over the last 5 or 6 years. OK I accept Man City have the big backing. but never the less they have changed managers.

Agree2 Disagree1

So that's 11 players you've named that have settled straight away. From how many billion spent over the past 10 years?

I wonder how much the transfers were at their current time? Are you saying that we could have afforded to purchase them? Given, we should have purchased Suarez when we had the chance, but any of the others. And would they have come with the predicament we have been in for the past 30 years.

Be realistic.

Agree2 Disagree1

The 11 players were to make the point. The list is endless. We could have bought about 75% of that lot.

Get in the real world. Like you said we missed out on Jaws. That's been the problem the scouting.

Why do we do it? Every transfer window we hope and pray and every transfer window we get f****d over by Our man . He makes a profit every window or near enough!
All the teams around us strengthen with quality, we get maybe's! Davies, yes, but we still play Rose . Fazio and the French lad, could be but who else wanted them, Vorm? . In return we get rid of Sandro, what???
We keep Lennon, Townsend ( couldn't cross a ball if you evolved the two of them together ) Kane and Benteleb ( tries hard but mid table players at best ) , Kaboul, Rose & Naughton ( accidents waiting to happen ) Paulinho ( slower than Daws ), Chadli ( inconsistent ) .
One injury to Ade or the Africa nations cup and we are relying on Kane and Soldado, WOW .
Once again Our man shows his contempt for the fans and manager, his lack of football knowledge, his excellent need to make a profit, and the fact that he looks after His mate and himself . He knows that once again if we fail to get top 4 or 5, he has a fall guy there waiting and Ponch takes the blame . What can the fans do except voice their opinions to each other on sites like this .
Our man knows that he has some of the most loyal fans out there, who get f****d over ever season, but keep turning up game after game whoever plays, buying the merchandise what ever the price . He also knows that we have an ever increasing waiting list for season tickets so him and His mate are ok . I know that the Our man lovers will soon be on here praising him, explaining how we can't match the spending power of the big boys, the fair play rules, the lure of the CL , etc etc and then the big elephant in the room, the new ground and paying for it . Nothing will be said about how we lost money paying off all the managers he sacked and payed compensation too, all the wasted money trying to move us to the Olympic park and all the drivel we brought that had his hands on the deals .
Thank you Eds for this site as it gives the supporters somewhere to let off steam and have a gripe amongst fellow supporters and it then doesn't happen down ' the lane ' .

Yet another depressing window finished in profit, or thereabouts, tells you everything you need to know about ENIC's commitment to the team. Even when we were in CL we failed to invest and cement our position in the top 4 and eventually redknapp got sacked for moaning about it. I often wonder how DL can keep selling us as a top 4 club to the fans.

I am getting annoyed at the thought of us now being a feeder club for QPR!

Oracle,

The window is closed . you seem like a reasonably intelligent person . can you explain how all these deals you said were done went tits up on us over the last 2 windows?

I think that should now be te end of oracle. Reputation in bits. Again.

Very disappointing transfer window, if only we had a chairman as ambitious as the Hull chairman. We now rely on Ade and an injury to him, and that will be it. Trying to get Welbeck shows the level of Levys ambitions. The beast being sold and Townsend staying is scandalous.
