Sorry chaps
Just a bit raw watching bale all day then ozil to the scum.

I'm counting on eriksen to cheer me up

Otzil to the goners, coentreuo to Man Utd! Feel like we've been we'll and truly done by Real! Please levy no more special relationships with other clubs!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pike, don't fret. Granted Ozil is a great buy for the Woolwich, but Coentrao - whilst he would have been an upgrade for us at LB - isn't the most solid of defenders and let United have him.

We have a great nucleus of players now, and if we compare our squad of a month ago to what we are feasting ourselves on now, then it's chalk and cheese. We just need to bear in mind that our starting point was considerably below that of the top four. We have certainly reduced the gap, and that's all we could ever have hoped to have achieved.

I echo your comments about Levy, Baldini and AVB. Not used to a quiet deadline day though. Very anti-climactic!

Good work levy, baldini and avb! Great window signed some amazing players. Shame we didn't get rid of ade tho. Bit of a boring deadline Day.

Was hoping we would sign another striker tonight but obviously didn't happen gutted person tonight. after gooners sign ozil

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ozil is a worldy yea. He will create lots of goals but to be fair, they ain't ever been short of that and always scored loads.
They have never replaced viera, and that is their problem.
They will prob shove Walcott forward with giroud but that leaves ox ch, Ramsey, cazorla, rosiky, Wiltshire as mid and covers for the defence.
To me, ozil, as good as he is, is not the player they need. We struggle to score, we needed him, they don't. He doesn't track back. Again, they have no DM. No viera. Our squad is now better than last season. Yes we have to gel but signs are good already.
All the business is now done. We have signed some proper talent, including
baldini.
Signs are good yods. Bring it on.

Ozil isn't world class, yes he is very good but no way is he world class and at 43m Arsenal paid way over the odds for a position that wasnt needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozil isn't world class?

Gullit "Ozil is the most technically perfect player in the world."

Mourinho "There is no better number 10 in football than Ozil".

Don't embarrass yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

'Embarass' is a bit strong I think. Football and punditry us all about opinions. Just because the anonymous poster had a different opinion to you on a player doesn't make him embarrassing.
We all know arsenal paid £15million over the top because they HAD to sign a big name on deadline day. We all know Madrid paid way over the top for bale because they backed themselves into a corner and HAD to follow through.
Don't forget mourinho also said terry was the best centre half in the world and drogba was the best player he ever worked with and gullit, exactly what job in football does he have now?
There are bigger and better people in football that might have a different opinion than yours. Does that make them right? No it doesn't.
If mourinho loves ozil that much, why didn't he buy him instead of willian?
Yes you have bought a great player but don't let your new found erection and bias dictate embarrassing posts like you have just posted.

Agree0 Disagree0

Zidane ' ozil is good but we decided he can leave. We have khadera who is not leaving'

Another opinion to add.

Agree0 Disagree0

I used the term embarrassing about your post mhc because it really was. Not the poster you was referring too.

Agree0 Disagree0

My post is hardly embarrassing. My points are all fact. You don't have the most assists in a year across internationals and club games by not being world class.

£15m over the top? You are suggesting Lamela is worth ~£3m more than Ozil then? Wow. Just wow.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lamela was too much. Soldado was too much. It's the transfer window. Everyone pays stupid prices to get the job done.
If you want to go down that road, £35million-Andy Carroll.
RVP-£25million (worth more than ozil)
Fellani-£27.5million
A player is worth only what 2 clubs agree on
Ozil, bale, Fellani, Carroll, soldado. Lamela, McCarthy all went for more than they should of. You can't gauge one players value against the other ie
Paulinho 24 yrs old £17million
Fernandinho 28 yrs old £34million
Same position, who starts for brazil?
My feeling us you are just being biased and pedantic because arsene whinger had just appeased you lot by signing 'the worlds best player'
Blinkered or what. You need to learn to think for yourself instead of being brainwashed. By the way, when lamela is the same age as ozil, he may, just may, be worth as much. You just don't know. Like ozil might, lamela and erikson may tear the premiere league apart again, you just don't know or like ozil might, they might fail badly and drift away to nothing. Again, we don't know.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think he is the world's best player. I don't know if it makes us stronger than you. I am just saying that he is undoubtably world class.

Agree0 Disagree0

In the first 4 words of my first post I used the same description so I don't deny that.
My first post was directed at your over the top first post so I can't see what your argument is.

GUTTED today
Arsenal alway benefits our downfall
Bale to Madrid
Ozil to arsenal

We have lost a 20 goal a season match winner

No signings can replace bale except the likes of ozil

Thx levy
{Ed008's Note -Your never happy lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You are joking surely. The goons sign a worldly in a Position they didn't need to strengthen.
They didn't let bendtner go because they have no strikers.
Will he or ozil score the 20 you say? No they won't.
Our squad is massively better than last season.
Some are just never happy.
You just watch erikson this season and repost after a few months but, as you are anonymous, you can't repost as we not know its you.
Jeez, embarrassing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope I don't end up standing next to you! Does the g stand for grumpy?

Agree0 Disagree0

G stands for gooner, as mentioned before. {Ed008's Note - I think it means gangster as he's from the hood you get me bruv?

Agree0 Disagree0

God cheer up mate! We lost to gooners and they signed Ozil. So they are delusional and now think they are title contenders haha! Our team needs time to jel but trust me. Eriksen created 142 chances last year. He'll have Soldado scoring hat fulls. The boy is outstanding and we never spent £42m on him. It has been an amazing window and our net spend os £0.5m

Agree0 Disagree0

Shat man. I better go in hiding. Thx for tip ed, or should I say bruv.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eriksen last season got 10 goals and 17 assists. ozil got 9 goals and 24 assists. ozil ha created more assists in the last 3 years than any other midfielder. eriksen can get to the same level if he works hard and keeps improving cause he has the potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

DJ, but they both played in teams that dominated the large majority of their league. In the prem it may be a totally different story but erikson 21yrs old @£10million or ozil 24yrs old @£42million, who has taken the bigger risk? It might be for more reward, then again it might not.

Agree0 Disagree0

COYMFS I agree that 42 mill is a gamble but ozil is a far more proven player in Europe and internationally at only 3 years older. I really like eriksen and think he will do very well. I think the real fans going off their nut about him being sold says a lot for how he is rated over there. time will tell but I think this year could be very interesting with man u having moyes in charge. I think he can be out manoeuvred by tactically stronger managers such as mourinho, wenger, pellegrinni and AVB.

Who if anyone will spurs sign in next 2 hours . I still think we need a lb and a striker

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No one will sign.
We have LB cover. Rose, Verts, naughton, fryers.
A new striker would of depended on ade leaving.
I personally think ade will be above Defoe in pecking order. He offers a difference to soldado.
A quiet day was expected and I think this is the case.
Avb left bulls cross at 5pm.
Once our new signings bed in, we will be fine. Erikson will be theman to watch.
Good times coming.

Is levy going to pull another rabbit out of the hat for us. i'm sure they are at this moment conversing with many clubs around europe. Michael Dawson was so bad the other day can't see him playing much this season after that performance. His defending was a shambles and looked so uncomfortable on the ball. I would personally like to see Damiao at spurs he's big and strong and would work well with Soldado.

Ba
Lukaku
- both unlikely being Chelsea
Moussa Sow
- possible, decent cover/option, maybe available
Hulk
- big money but would create a big stir and potentially a big presence
Damaio
-

Nothing will happen though.

Like somebody else posted, feel a bit gutted seeing Bale's unveiling.
I know it's just one game and early days for us but what a game to play like that. Just before deadline day we get beaten by them, they go out and by a world class player in Ozil (and probably 1 or 2 more) when we're probably done now and left on a downer for at least a fortnight throughout the international break.
I'm pleased with the signings and their potential but, we definitely still need some goal-scoring power and cover. If it's true that one of Defoe or Ade are leaving then we are losing that plus Bale and replacing with Soldado, in other words we're even shorter up top than we were last season when it ended up being the killer blow for us.
Has this not been spotted already by AVB and Levy? Are we missing something? I just can't see Ade featuring much or being up for it, Defoe is Defoe and Soldado is yet to settle and would be our only man to lead the line, particularly if one of the others goes today.
With that in mind and that we've not actually spent anything net, maybe we can have a little dream that Hulk or Damaio may turn up, or even Demba Ba!? Haha.
Alas I fear not and hope we won't see another transitional period that leaves us just short come May, then under real pressure to sell anybody that shines throughout the year if Real fancy buying them.
I'm very surprised and grateful we've re-invested the money from Bale but, are we mis-balanced yet again in the squad? So much is going to ride on Eriksen and Lamela scoring as well as making goals.

Capoue 4-6wks out, could've been much worse!
Simmo {Ed008's Note - Certainly looked far worse then what everyone saw on TV.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe he's a bit of a pansy? Sandro played on and still hobbled about even though his injury had him out for 10months haha.
Just kidding. I think he's looked very good and just got caught out a bit yesterday by the intensity of the derby and that all the team were generally flat around him would not have helped.

this might be greedy of me but I think one more addition in the last third is needed, central midfield we're strong as but one more going forward would be nice or to give hotlby more playing time, rotating him and erikson is vital this season

Also annoyed that we never got ozil or someone from Madrid as part of the deal knowing how desperate that wanted bale.
Still feel we need another striker.
Townsend not ready yet if at all

Another thing, from a neutral point of view, Lloris should have seen red when he handled the ball outside the box. I don't understand how the ref and his assistants missed that

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats because when he handled the ball the ball was in the area just because his feet are outside the box doesn't mean its handball!

I'm struggling to see how our special relationship with Real Madrid works! They get our best players and in return sell one of their best to the Gooners. Granted we got a lot of money for Bale and in the long term the players we sign will benefit us but special relationship! Please don't make me laugh :-/

Good morning Spurs

Gunner here in peace. Just wanted to say to you guys thank God you didn't score yesterday. because if you did, all hell would have broken loose and we would have walloped you for six haha

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fella to be fair both teams were average at best. Tottenham will take time to gell but when they do they will be a team worth watching what was arsenals excuse. By the way you might think twice about claiming you are a nuetral in future. On another front what now for Arsenal after Ozil hasa turned them down yet another wenger fantasy bites the dust. Never mind odemwengi is available!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozil would be too good to be true. but then again, Wenger has been known to dither. I wouldn't believe it until it's on Arsenal.com

cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting that Arse Whinger is strengthening an already strong area for the gooners. They need strikers gk and defenders, but when he does buy them they turn out to be rubbish. Giroud only success as appose to gervinho chammahk santos metersaker etc. In time gooners will fall behind again except this yr we will not hand you bk a champs league spot. If ozil and di marie sign it will still leave same old problems at back and if giroud gets injured your totally stuffed. Just saying.

Ant

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if those "problems" make us the second best defense in the league again, I'D BE HAPPY ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

But what what I understand and ed's please correct me if I'm wring but.10m for hulk is bot a purchase price 10m is just for a season long. that's a hell of a lot of cash for someone on loan with no proven ability in the epl. {Ed008's Note - That'd what was said by Sky I don't believe it's true but that's the "rumour"

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 09:02:13
Any truth in the rumour that having spent over £100 million pounds Spurs fans would not have to endure yet another Black Monday at the hands of our most hated and bitterest rivals?

No I thought not, I knew it was just a dream. Raw talent? Time to GEL. The truth is that apart from our goalkeeper who was a hero and saved us from another five goal drubbing. The NEW Spurs were rubbish. We never looked like scoring a goal, we have nt done since Gareth Bale left the pitch at the end of last season. We have bought DROSS aprat from Capoue who is nor sadly crocked for months, the rest look like cast offs just like Dembele, Sigurdson etc etc The Only two truely class players currenrty are Lloris and Verts.

The North London Derby means naff all to most of them and it showed.

I suggest Mr clever clogs Levy that having watched it yourself you sign up Tom Ince ASAP and don't argue over the Fee please, because the Lad knows something that 90 per cent of Spurs players don t know and that is that the object in Football is to place the ball between the two white posts. Suggest he also tery and sign a PROPER DECENT STRIKER having let the Benteke get away by playing nionsense games when he could have said "Right here is £30 million let's be having you"

Sandro looks a shadow of his old self. Lennon who is to my mind STILL a key player is crocked and I guess Kaboul is going to be Ledley King No 2.

But don't worry Daniel I'll just get on like my fellow Spurs fans and take another week of ridicule and insult, you on the other hand can just Jet off somewhere. As for you mate Sven's old side kick, I suggest he would nt know a Class Footballer if he feel over one based on the total DROSS I saw in White Shirts yesterday, total total rubbish.

Happy Days. Top Four . your on Drugs!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we play Dembele as a holding player it might excuse the fact he produces nothing else. Could be the next Huddlestone, technically gifted but never kicks on. We need to find a way to release Paulinho a bit more when possible as we're going to be desperate for goals from midfield. If Soldado scores the same number as Bale then we were still short of goals last year so it's the same old problem. We need a Rafa-esque impact and guile from Eriksen and a Bale-esque wing-impact from Lamela just to stand still - no pressure.
We packed the midfield yesterday but still couldn't stop the counter attacks and didn't have enough numbers forward ourselves, or certainly none that looked like scoring. It's only one game but what a game to perform like that.
Take one positive from it though, they played like the away side despite us being poor and they parked the bus at the end. In any form they can counter attack at pace and will create chances so that didn't really tell us (or them) anything we don't already know - the difference is we didn't counter them or pressure them with enough quality or there's a good chance they would fold like they did against Villa.

Hi Spurs fans,

Just wondering if you're happy with the money spent? I'm an Arsenal fan, obviously delighted with yesterday - we comfortable beat you, you sell your best player and we have a bid accepted for Ozil.

Also, what is this link you have with Madrid all about? Because you don't seem to get anything out of it.

Hope you manage to spend some money today, looks like you'll need someone who can score from open play.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hie Paul. Recognize you from our own page. My sentiments exactly. The Spurs are poorer this time around than from last season. At least last season they could score lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually love these comments, you're dreaming if you think you're any better than last year, or the past 9 in which you've won nothing. You played like the away side and parked the bus at the end, that's despite the fact we were poor and off the pace throughout. We didn't look like creating a lot yet still could have nicked a goal but nothing dropped for us and we didn't deserve it to. Teams like Villa and Everton and all the top sides will come down on a good/reasonable day and take points from you.
We have actually spent nothing, we're even on net spend like you so, when you go out and splash £40-60m today then you will be the big spenders and the expectation is on you not us.

Why are we so casual? We have no urgency. By that time soldado has no room up top. We play tika taka football around the two cbs and cdm. And then dawson decides he has to take charge and slowly canters foward and losses the bale. He is a great servant for the club but kaboul should really be in the starting line up!
