Liverpool Fan here

I just wanted to know from all of you.

Y did Spurs sell Dos Santos?. He had pace in abundance and is actually doing well in Spain, What makes Lennon better than Santos.

Thanks to Eds and Spurs fans

{Ed008's Note - He was sold because he enjoyed his partying and regularly missed training because of it, Great little player on the pitch but if he's got problems like that he's gotta be sold.

ED08, Thanks for the reply, He should have been managed well?. He is much better than Lennon.
Seems Some players need to be tamed?

{Ed008's Note - He's much better player then Lennon, but with that if Lennon is turning up for training and Dos Santos isn't who do you pick? You reward the player wanting to play football and improve their game they tried to and they failed with Dos Santos theirs just some good clubs in the area.

Dos Santos has looked quite good in a couple of World Cup tournaments, but he flatters to deceive. He buzzes around looking neat and tidy but doesn't actually achieve very much.

For for us he never showed anything and when we loaned him out he always cam back again. If he has finally learned his lesson and is starting to play a bit for Villareal then good luck to him.

However, he would need to be a hell of a lot better than we ever saw before he was fit to lace Lennon's boots

As Much As I agree on your views, I disagree completly on the last line. I am known to be a lenon lover at Liverpool Page ( I don't know y )
But Lenon does nothing apart from running from one end to another. Dos santos would easily overtake Lenon given he plays one full season.
Dos Santos has an eye for a goal, While Lenon would just run the whole day asked to, Without even knowning Y is he running.
( NO offence or Disrespcet to any of your players )

We always hoped the time might come for Dos Santos but, as Harry said (along the lines of); if he could pass a nightclub as well as he can pass a football then he might be a decent player.

I am not pretending Lennon is world class. If he was, he would be playing for a Champions League Club. It is just that he is a consistent performer who nearly always has a positive impact when he is on the pitch.

He stretches defences, gets in crosses (not always the quality I would like) and is a good outlet when we are under pressure. He is particularly important in tracking back to cover his full back.

In some respects, he reminds me of Kuyt. Kuyt always worked his socks off and always made a contribution. In an ideal world he would have had a touch more class, but he earned his place in your starting line-up for years and in the end gave more value for money than other players who were supposedly more classy.

I just wish fans at all clubs would learn to value players like this more.

If there is a message from the World Cup so far, it is that there are players that can look good in a couple of Internationals but not hack it, week in and week out, at club level.

I sorta agree to some extent. Not being Biased, Kuyt did scored 50+ goals for Liverpool and isn't an Out and out winger. Rest is fine.
Lenon also couldn't cement a place in the national side.

You could argue that a lot of club sides are better than International teams, after all they can pick any player they want. Dos Santos saw himself as a playboy at Spurs and at Barca and in Turkey.

Just read that Michu is having a medical at Napoli? Shame he is leaving as he is a quality player just had a bad season mainly due to injury. This lad will be one for the near future for sure! Spanish team in the Euros for sure and top Italian scorer for next season if he passes his medical. Potential chance missed on a bargain player.
