Just a thought: I understand y the adi deal didn't go through its wages. But what I dnt understand is we had his all season, you telling me a weekly salary wasn't discussed I would have thought we would of has that in place as he was on reportly 175k a weekend then make an offer to city. 2 years ago we have 5 strikers now we have 1. We are desperate with 3 weeks to go we need prob 2 now so they can play per season and get use to the team

Desperate?
its not ideal certainly, but its certainly not desperate

Not desperate yet but if we dont get 1 quick and jemaine gets injured we could end up not being ready just like last year lets hope a deal is about to happen

Hmmmm with 3 weeks to go no marks man no back up striker okay. Kane will do it in the prem then??? Look at the bigger picture we are gonna play maybe 50 games next season

To the original poster, I think you will find we only paid a percentage of his wage whilst he was on loan last season. And bearing in mind he has been offered a reported £125,000 p/w + bonus' for goals, appearences and whatever else players get now add to that his signing fee which was again reported to be around £3million. All of this was still not enough for him to sign for us, so i say let him rot in Mansh**y reserves that sort of money will be better spent elsewhere.

Didn't learn anything particularly new from the Liverpool game. We desperately miss Modric's playmaking ability, as we had no one to get the ball moving (although Huddlestone was an improvement in the 2nd half). And we desperately need at least one world class centre forward. We also miss Sandro and Parker as without them we just don't hunt the ball down quick enough and the high line becomes over exposed; with a chance we will have neither available for Newcastle, I'd definitely be a bit worried. And finally, can anyone tell me why Friedel insists on launching it long time after time, if we want to play AVB's high tempo, quick passing, high pressing game we have to play from the back, play short and players have to demand the ball; too many had their backs to the ball today.
