Guys, where is all this negativity Harry and Levy coming from? Take Harry... When he took over we were a mess. He transformed our club into a top 4 contender. He is a solid manager who commands respect from players. He may have made tactical mistakes last season but show me a manager who hasn't. Oh a please name me a better available manager? Like all managers he needs time - let him build a team. His team. Also - using players you can trust (pets) is sensible and right. You need signings you can rely on for a job and an extra voice to hold dressingroom together. It's simple logic. It is safe spending with zero risk and 100% loyalty. Might I add that we play some of the best football in England? As for Levy... We quite simply have one of the best run clubs in the country. He has bargained brilliant sponsorship deals and has kept this club largely self sufficient when others are drowning in debt. We have a brilliant youth academy and an exciting future with stadia etc. I respect him for maintaining a salary cap for the sake of keeping this club afloat whilst bringing some degree of success at the same time. He is an astute and smart man who runs a tight ship and ain't no mug.

I'm afraid unless you are owned by an oil rich royal success does not arrive overnight. A team needs built over time. I'd rather watch real football played the real way by a real team with real fans by a responsible well run club. I welcome the PfA player of the year with open arms. As for adebayor he will do a job. Expect Samba/Cahill to follow.

Future is bright it's Lillywhite.

Couldnt agree more with your post tbh great post, harry is a awesome manager, and i totally agree with levy he is also a great chairman, chelsea would of being the same way as leeds if they never got abramovich in, also once we get our bigger stadium completly sorted and ready to use we will be able to offer decent wages liek the other big clubs in our league, also i love the signing of adebayor if his head is right he will be awesome for us, and parker will add maturity, experience and loyalaty to the club will always give his best and is certainly not just an average player, would like to see samba or cahill more so cahill but wont be dissapointed cause we have kaboul who will be great with dawson also hope we sign damiao will be great signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Good, intelligent post mate. However the argument that harry is building a team is redundant when its painfully obvious he'll be off to england next year. Also, Ancellotti will be available and would be an excelent acquisition. Or David Moyes, who in my opinion is the best in the league bar Fergie

Agree1 Disagree0

Not calling for harrys head but you asked for a better available manager well Louis van gal is out of work& parker is a second rate midfielder we should be going after Ever Banega

Agree0 Disagree0

Talking sense mate. Agree with it all. Not sure I agree with people who are slating Parker. This is the guy who was voted the best player in the league by his fellow proffessionals. Ahead of Tevez, Bale, VDV, Vidic, Nasri etc, rather Parker than Diarra. I think Ade will be a good signing too, as 'Arry says, if he's crap, its not as if we've lost out and Arsenal fans hate him so he'll put a shift in for us. I believe that as a club without the financial clout of the sky sports 5 we are doing well and building for a sensible future. We've got some of the best young players in the country and when the financial fair play kicks in we'll be spot on. I dont think we'll trouble the top 3 as i dont think anyone will but 4th is not out of the question as Arsenal are struggling a bit and Liverpool are still nowhere near Man U/City/Chelsea. Also please dont kick off but as a football fan I think the recent criticism of Arsene Wenger is outrageous, but thats another matter

At least our 2nd string restored a wee bit pride against your 2nd string. Our kids put our established 'stars' to shame for effort, bravery and skill.

And our fans gave a good account of themselves. 90 minutes solid singing and good banter with Tottenham.

Wish we'd got a goal at WHL to celebrate though.

And a great occasion for Dave Mackay home and away.

Good luck.

What wrong with parker ? Player of the year and at the moment we are short in m/f. We are not going to get vey big names until the wages can change at spurs.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Whats wrong , old , slow , blinkered , boring , need any more ?? Loads of better , younger , more skilful , cheaper , midfielders on the market Just cos Arry wanted to sign Parker for POmpey , doesnt mean he is good for Spurs

All the people on hear saying parker is past it it and all i tink he will a good job in midfield for us for at least 2 years which would u prefer him or jenarse id pick parker anyday he didnt get player of the year for west spam for nothing, i tink we will only sign parker and samba/cahill in this window cant see us doin much more but with the addition of freidal, parker, adebayor, samba or cahill id be happy with this window

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Well your easily pleased mate . Basically once again Arry and Levy are taking the piss If this is the best we can attract , then its time to start following leyton orient Parker stood out because he was an average player playing in a crap team It wasnt so long ago that Arry said that with the transfer fee , plus wages , Parker was a no go as no sell on value . Once again more bull s**t Dont you think as fans we deserve better than this ??? This is Tottenham , not some third rate back street club . Arry is well out of his depth and the sooner he goes to be England manager , the better .

You lot are unreal ....... Look at he dross we have put up with before Harry .... Look at the results he has brought us CL football when everyone else failed he knows what he is doing and we need to get behind him instead of thinking we have the same cash as Chelsea and man city . Be realistic with our targets .... Parker is a good solid player

Agree2 Disagree0

Davo your crazy yeah i agree parker only stood out because west ham are piss poor but harry is the best available manager around and also what happened to the people we were linked with earlier on i mean i didnt expect to get hulk but osvaldo is a player of our quality...good but not world class

Agree0 Disagree0

Adebayor is better than osvaldo

I find it hard to be excited buy our summer dealings, we knew a year ago that we needed defenders and strikers, but this is the third window to pass without the players we need.
Adebayor is a great player, don't get me wrong - but a loan only, a forty year old goalkeeper, a 16 year old from Barca, a potential good young striker in Coulibaly (but will he be given the chance to excel or be lost in our reserves, like so many others). Diarra or Parker - wow, we should be so excited
What happened to HULK, LLORENTE, OSVALDO, CAHILL ETC ETC ETC ........THANKS, BUT NO THANKS MR LEVY. WHERE IS THE 25 mil FROM CL?

Hey guys, posted on here a couple of times before but nothing significant.
i know shirt numbers arent really anything to go by, but i was just reading about yossi benayoun giving up his number 10 shirt at chelsea for juan mata and he was quoted as saying "to me its just a number - not my lucky 15"
usually i wouldnt pay attention to this sort of thing, but if the rumours about crouch leaving for stoke are correct then that would leave us with our number 15 shirt available so is this some sort of hidden message that benayoun knows something that the rest of us possibly dont perhaps? obviously i'm just speculating because benayoun is the reported player chelsea have offered us in exchange for modric so it just twigged in my head that this is a possibility.
i would be REALLY unhappy if we sold modric at all at this stage, even more so if benayoun was included in the deal, major step down in quality in my opinion and, as we seem to unable to sign anybody else other than 'arry's old boys who are all past it and wont add to the quality of our squad at all (ie. joe cole, scott parker would be a gamble, lass diarra too), it seems we're content on being the club that got to the champions league but were then bullied out of it by "bigger boys". we really should be aiming to win things and go all out to prove we can hold our own up there without spending trillions

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We'll close the deal on Parker, nick Cahill from underneath the noses of Arsenal now that Wenger has p*ssed off Bolton and round things off with Leandro. Job done. Top 4 here we come again

Agree2 Disagree0

Are you having a laugh ? No chance No decent signings , no tactical ideas , no balls . I thought Arry was the dogs when he came , but he is proving that he cant manage a top team now . His idea of new signings is , lets give a couple of pensioners and my pets another go as it wont matter if I cock up as I am of to manage England Shame they wont have him now .

hello spurs how would yous like Glasgow rangers and Glasgow Celtic to play in England am asking all me personnaly think it would be a great thing as the old firm need a fresh star

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeah they can play in England, don't know how they'd fair against Reading, West Ham or Cardiff though...........

Agree1 Disagree0

Well it doesnt really affect us as they arent nearly good enough at this stage to touch the premier league...

Agree1 Disagree0

Hello Rangers.

Why don't you have a wee sit down and consider who in England would vote FOR Rangers and Celtic to join them?

Let's start with the top end Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool who currently fight it out between the 6 of them for 4 Champions League places. Do they want the OF eventually (in time with Sky money) adding to that list at the top end? Given they already play to full houses - what's the appeal of a visit by Rangers or Celtic?

Then there's the second tier of Evertons and Villas. Similarly trying to get Europa league spots and probably aware both Rangers and Celtic would be bigger in terms of money within 5 years.

Then you've got everybody else now aware that there's really 2 less places in the Premiership and therefore harder for the Wigans, Boltons, Blackburns, etc. to stay in the EP when they get there.

On the whole the EP works with mostly full houses. So it's lost on me - what's the appeal of asking Rangers and Celtic to join for any club at any level in England?

Add to that the sectarian baggage and Rangers' display in Manchester in the Europa league final.

I understand fully what's in it for Rangers and Celtic - but down south I think there's no appeal of you joining for lots of reasons.

So you're stuck with us in Scotland. This 'story' has been around ever since Sky pumped money in down south and created the best league in the world. It's not your party. Deal with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come down and join us in the premier league if rangers and celtic came into the premier league there would be an easy 12 points for the top teams
Yiddo

Agree0 Disagree0

How about the top clubs in England have a b team play in spl, rangers & celtic wouldnt like it bcause there chances of winning LG would be out the window at moment u lot would struggle in championship, the best thing use can do up there is expand number teams in top flight at moment most teams are thinking of survival & little else its ridiculous use playing each other 4 times a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

My last point on this boring topic - an often over-looked point by both Rangers and Celtic is that IF they were allowed into the EP - FIFA / UEFA would insist on the same rule as applies to Cardiff and Swansea. That if they qualified for Europe - they couldn't compete. The only way they'd be able to compete is if all home nations national teams were disbanded and a UK team was introduced. Never. Gonna. Happen. So stick zero money from Europe in your business case Rangers and Celtic. Then of course that makes a mockery of the EP with potentially 2 of the top places not getting Europe as Rangers and Celtic do not count. It's a nonsense even beyond English clubs (and police) not wanting either of them.
