Ed, IF we do get Brendan Rodger, do you feel we will be in a stronger position to keep Bale because they are both Welsh? {Ed001's Note - I really doubt it would make much difference to Bale. What he wants is to win things, competing for trophies is how to make him stay.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Brendan Rodger is not Welsh, he is Irish

I thin kshould we qual for cl next season team should be

Brad /lloris
Parker 2 Caulker/3Kaboul/1Jan verth/ 4fellaini (any 2 pref)

Walker hudd modders Ekotto /baines

Haza /azza VDv Bale
At cb if no cl then caulk + kab if yes cl jan or marouanne cm in place of kaboom

Parker attacking is let down as teams allow him to have space so lets play him deepest playing the ball in midfield and patrolling any counter chances.
Two mamoth cbs play ground balls into midfield like swansea city to hudd and modders who got us cl foot earlier . Hudds shooting ability can break the meanest of defences if club parks bus plus added height and great passing and extra def cover alonside masterrful modders.
So parker marks players like sesegnon rooney dempsey and wing backs take wingers and provid width with hudd possibly covering. Cb's mark striker with caulker marking no one just there to sort any possible trouble

In attack Bale is target man and lays like villa. 40% infield 40 % left and 20% right and vice versa hazard whose clever movenent shall draw out defenders especially when runs made from outside to inside
To solve striker issues vaart a clever footballer gets a free role so we do not play aimless long balls and with ugly touched ade now out we can have much more posession without fear of counter.
So front 3 remain up .
E.g of counter- Cleared to bale -chest to vaart-throug to hazard who does the rest

With hudd modders and vaart teams cannot double mark bale and hazard so i d expect hudd to get spce s he can shoot or even thread a brilliant pass regardless the foot

This + constant squad rotation so no player plays over 3-4 games in a row so we don ot need to rest more than 1-2 players at any point of season adnd injury probs reduced and palyers like jd niko azza continue to get game time

You have no chance of signing Vertonghen, he has already made perfectly clear that he is wanting to join Arsenal, even De Boer has reiterated that.

Not wanting to start arguments but that is a fact that is well known

Glenn

Just because a player says one thing doesn't mean it's going to happen. Source: Our very own judas campbell, repeatedly stating he wouldn't go to you lot, then, what happens, contract up and off he goes

Agree2 Disagree0

Glenn players say it all the time ... Granted chances are he's sincere and isn't just being A whore getting attention of prem clubs like he also meantioned spurs a couple months back ....

It's all bull
Ding trust anything until its confirmed that he's signed that's what I think

Rumour has it Harry is off to manage Engalnd & is taking Jordan & Bond with him. Replacement rumoured to be Brendan Rodgers. I cant say Im particularly pleased, mind you he is used to managing championship type sides with 36,000 capacity stadiums. Back to mid-table mediocrity for us. {Ed004's Note - Very positive outlook you have on it. I rate Rodgers highly. He will continue to let you play very fast and fluent football and if he sorts out your defence I honestly believe you will finish 3rd or 4th next year atleast.}

Mark my words he will be a disaster, Harry will be a hard act to follow.

Ed 004, I too rate Rodgers highly but i also rate Lambert highly too. Norwich play flowing and attractive Football and also sit above Swansea in the table. Moreover, Lambert has got the club successive promotions with a budget no better than Rodgers had. On that basis, surely, he is just as valid a candidate as Rodgers, right? Even tho I may rate both those managers, this season has proved that you win and lose off of the pitch as much as you do on it. We already have the squad for a top four finish, what we have been proven not to have is a manager that could lead us to that Champions league spot. Unless Rodgers is a better motivator, better tactician and a better leader than Redknapp is, i dont see the point of having him. We are at the stage now where, whatever happens, we need a PROVEN top class manager where the players will not doubt his ability to lead and make decisions. As far as im concerned, going for Rodgers is no more of a statement of intent by the club than getting Jol or Ramos and look where that got us..under jol, always the bridesmaid and under Ramos a disaster waiting to happen. If we dont start thinking big then we will undo everything and become nothing more than seasonal Europa league hopefuls. {Ed004's Note - Well then what Managers are available out there, that our as world class as you have stated? Every manager needs to start somewhere and both those managers are brilliant imo}

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get £10 million compo for 'arry we ought to be paying that to PSG to get Ancellotti out of his contract. There were enough rumours flying about before he got that job that he was hanging about hoping to get another post in England. You are right, managers do need to start somewhere but, in all fairness, we are not a nursery for up and coming managers, there is far too much at stake.
PS: I agree totally with you, they are brilliant with what they have done at those clubs. {Ed004's Note - Fair enough. I still think either would do wonders for Spurs tbh}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lambert reminds me of a young alex ferguson I think he could be a big manager as to rodgers. We shouldnt be beguiled by the same old faces and names go for new up and comming managers and success will follow.
