Well it's that time of year when we all hope that we get the marquee signings we all crave only for the transfer window to slam shut with a make do signing.
Some ideas of who I would quite like in & I don't think would b impossible if levy was to spend.
Erikkson 15 - 20m
Ben arfa 10 - 15m
Ince 5 - 8m
Benteke 13 - 17m
Damaio 15 - 20m
Diame 5 - 7m
If we could get rid of all the deadwood mite give us a few more penny's to spend.

Ince was never a tottenham target,
Benteke & diame are possible but I don't think we are in for them,
Damiao will finaly make his way to Tottenham.

Gotta laugh, they are changing the rules so if a team comes 4th and a team from the same country wins the cl it won't affect the team who came 4th, like I said got to laugh. {Ed008's Note - Evidence?

Tv ed, it says from 2015 that winner of the cl and Europa league will get a place in cl but a English winner of either will not prelude 4th place. That's if I understand it correctly? {Ed008's Note - Hmm interesting never should have got rid of 4th place team you play 38 games a season for it.

Yeah agreed seems unfair but did we moan? no, we just got behind our team for another season. Atleast now the Europa league has more meaning and will give us more reason to take it seriously, AVB will like that lol.

No sorry your info is incorrect. The statement was that to make the Europa leafue more attractive the winner of the Europa league will automatically qualify for the following seasons Champions League and it will not be to the detriment of the top 4. So possibly if a EPL team won it we would have 5 teams in the CL.
It's just an attempt to make teams take the Europa league a bit more serious.

Sorry to say I'm not wrong I double checked before replying to ed, it states "the winner of the Europa league and champions league will automatically qualify for the cl - but a winner of EITHER will not preclude the team placed forth" they even use the spurs situation as a example. let's not act surprised though as this is exactly the kinda luck we get.

Damiao is extremely overrated however I would welcome the signing of Soldado. I think it could happen along with rodrigo of Benfica

Do u think there is any realistic chance we could get both soldado and Damiao. IMO think it would only happen if we sold both adebayour and Defoe or Dempsey which I can't see happening

What does everybody think about the Europa League next year? Personally, to get as far as the quarters or beyond and not make the final (and win it!) makes it an absolute nightmare and energy sapping plus injury risks like we suffered with Bale. I don't see our squad being that much bigger and we should be definitely going all-out to win the League Cup or FA Cup to get our name on a trophy but, we need to play the kids in this competition and focus energy on competing for 4th.

Completely agree, I respect AVB for giving it a good effort but we didn't rotate nearly enough for it, Bale, Dembele, Vertonghen, Walker, Etc would often play 90 mins twice in one week.
Added to the fact I wasn't all that envious of chelseas triumph, I think we should use it as a training ground for our abbundant youth.

Totally agree however AVB seems to be the only manager in the country that thinks the Europa doesn't have a negative impact on league form! The fact is unless you have the squad to rotate, it has to and I for one think it cost us this time around. Dembele & Bale injuries are a perfect example!
I really hope we play youth next season in the Europa and push for the FA Cup along with a top 4 spot

Given today's news we should def use it for kids next year. Take it seriously the year after if we're in it and it's another route to Champions League.

Yeah, Liverpool basically just played kids this season, (who I don't think are as good as ours) and got pretty far in the Europa. I doubt AVB would have the balls though to change up 8 or 9 players from the first 11, more like 3 or 4
