Can anyone actually see world class player/players coming to Spurs with no CL football? I can't i'm afraid! All the deadwood will return and we will be back to square 1!! Cheers HR!!

Haven't come on here to slag Harry. Lets be honest after last seasons comeback at the library, winning at City to get CL, Winning at the San Siro, doing Inter at the lane and doing it playing thrilling football we all loved him BUT this is the 2nd season in a row that we have blown CL football when it was there for the taking and that suggests a couple of fatal flaws in his managerial makeup, the first one is the obvious inability to instil n the players the ability to maintain form to the end of the season or to get results when not playing well. The fact that this has happened twice suggests another fault, a failure to learn from previous mistakes. Has the England job speculation contributed to our collapse? Possibly, although last seasons similar end of season flop suggest otherwise. Think we should get us much compo as we can from the FA and use it to lure the right manager to WHL. We can forget about Mourinho, if he comes back to the PL it will be for the MU job, Louis van Gaal is currently out of work (my choice if we go for an established name) while Jurgen Klopp has just won back to back titles with Borussia Dortmund and would be my choice if we go for an up and coming manager. Im not as anti-Moyes as some on here, I think he'd give us the bit of mental toughness we need although I'm not sure we'd enjoy the style of football. Thoughts?

How the wheels have come off for Spurs - levy was sitting pretty with targets declaring their interest in joining the club, a multi million pound compensaation deal for Redknapp in the offing and all looking rosie with a new ground etc - however, Champions League ambitions are now looking decidedly dodgy, Modric almost certainly off, no one wants Redknapp including me and another year of rebuilding in the offing. And the club value having fallen through the floor........comments please!

Agree with most of this post but think Harry deserves a bit of gratitude for some great moments and some great football, sadly he's just come up short as a manager and he must be gutted about that as much as we are. True, Modric will be off when we fail to get CL but people predicted dire things when Berbatov and Keane left in 2008 but the following season we qualified for the CL just proving that no player is bigger than the club. My own feeling that as long as whatever fee we receive for Modders goes on a replacement of similar quality it won't be the disaster everyone is predicting, we might even get someone with a decent shot! I also think HR will still get the England gig and again whatever compensation we get from that should go on a package to attract a manager who can take us forward.

I dont mean to sound pessimistic, but if Everton win their last 4 and we lose our last 4, we could end up in 7th....

Its not pessimistic,it's a reality!

That would be too funny,I don't think I could handle that much laughter in such a short time

Dear The Don,

Just wanted to point something out.

The reason us gooners are crowing isn't because you lost to qpr, norwich or everton etc.

It is because all the time you were above us in the league, you lot, maybe not you personally, but you lot were coming out with some of the most ridiculous things.

Things like:
''forever in our shadow''
''the balance of power has shifted in north london''
''mind the gap'' (wasn't there t-shirts printed up with that on it?)
I could go on but I think you get the idea.

The reason we are crowing is because after all the stick we received the utter collapse of your season has been absolutely hilarious, that, coupled with the way you all come across as bad losers just makes it even funnier:
''ed,can we have spurs only eds on this page please''
''ed,can you ban the gooners from this page''
''just ignore the gooners''
''its not nice being ganged up on''
etc .. etc .. etc.

Add to this the mysterious disappearance of some of the regular visitors to our page to give it loads, and you will see my point as to why we are crowing!

I hope this clear up any misunderstandings you may have had on the matter.

regards,
a VERY happy gooner

ps, oh,and.....LMAO

Fingers and toes crossed Harry gets the England job. Ive totally lost faith in him now. Bring in David Moyes and build a new team cos everything Redknapp has done in the transfer market has been to see out the season. We need good young players who have the legs for the 'business part of the season' cos at the moment we look absolutely dead! Harry doesnt seem interested and the players seem not bothered. Hope for Redknapp out followed by a good 8-10 average, overated and ego minded players and then bring in David Moyes and players who are the right age, hard working players who wanna work for the team! sorry to say it but exactly what Newcastle are doing.

Totally agree. Del Boy is only interested in himself and his media image. A good friend of mine said toi me recently that if Fergie had been Spurs manager this year, we would have won the league. Just watching MU go a goal down to Everton and despite Everton going back on defence MU have scored 3 goals. When we go behind, we are unable to break down a massed defence ie. Stoke, Wolves and QPR. We have quality players, dont quite understand why we have such a problem scoring goals.

Morning after the night (mare) before! Is there anyone in the world other than our manager who thinks it's a good idea to play the leagues best left sided player through the middle? In 90mins of football Bale played in his best and natural position for a whopping 10 mins! This has been the situation since the turn of the year not just yesterday, genius move by Redknapp to ask Modric to run around covering the left side and helping BAE, no wonder he wants to leave. Honestly think HR has lost his mind. Good luck England your going to need it, won't be long before Rooney is playing on the right wing!

Totally agree. Del Boy has not got a clue. Bale is not the same player when he leaves the left wing.
