Azza, i agree with you over townsend. I reckon if given a run of games he would do the business. I reaky rate lennon when on form and so does redknapp but harry needs to mix it up and townsend is capable.
There are quite a few great young players at spurs at the moment, harry kane is one i hope gets given a chance. He is a natural goalscorer and would be a great sub.
We also have tom carroll, caulker, bostock, mason and quite a few more including coulibaly. Lets hope they get a chance to play, hopefully in europa or carling cup.

I too, would love to see the kids get a chance, particularly carroll, townsend, kane and coulibaly. at least one of the development squad has the potential for greatness imo.

but let's face it, it's highly unlikely. most probably there'll be a lot of loans again this season just because the players need more game time than they'll get under 'arry. we can always hope =)

Guvner, I agree mate. some of these guys must be given a chance next season. I'd like to see coulibali, Kane and townsend play in the CC. Azza

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't challenge Lennon HE IS A LEFT MIDFIELDER

Agree2 Disagree3

I dont quite agree with the townsend thing. I have actually played against him twice at under 17 level, and although he has great potential (scored twice against us) he wasnt the stand out player, i admit this was now three years ago, but he in my opinion wasnt ever going to get to the first team at spurs, but coulibaly (excuse spelling) looks a good player. Townsend has being playing LM for milwall, yes. but despite being left-footed, he's got a damn good right foot and has played a lot on the right. don't remember his performance at right wing against charlton?

hk_yid

Agree0 Disagree0

He played left mid against Charlton and also every performance ive seen (bar a few Leyton games where he played up front) he has played left mid
COYS

Agree0 Disagree0

He is left mid.
llorente would be great. Imagine him and crouch up top. Supreme height.

Think andros kane coulibaly etc will play in europa, fa carling

COYS
p.s ed what do you think of roobben rumour
{Ed008's Note - Townsend can play both flanks as he likes cutting in from the right also like A.Johnson his pace is frighting. I can't see any truth in it to be honest too expensive high wages he might be a Spurs fan but if Bayern don't wanna sell then you move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

No - he played right wing against charlton. as Ed says he can play both sides.

Actualy I was at the game he played in front of Ekotto and Kranjcar played on the right. He is good on the right he played there once or twice in the reserves but for Millwall he was the most dangerious when he was on his Favorited side

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually i was also at the game, about 20 feet from townsend's dashes down the right. Just do a search or watch it again.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was there he clearly was playing left mid he was in front of ekotto and Krancjar clearly played on the right i saw it with my own eyes

Pretty much agree, although he's not the best in the world I think Adey is better than what we have up front, he always seems to score against us

The coulibaly goal is now on the official tottenham website
Ed008, was just a lil guesswork yesterday regarding damiao. With jo arriving we hoped something might happen with the brazilian window closing at 4am thursday.
What i find worrying is that redknapp says today we might try for adebayor, surely they know their f@cking targets by now, 3 bloody windows we have had to buy a striker and we are still faffing about.
For me coulibaly is our number one striker at the mo

What Harry had said was that he would try and get Adebayor 'on loan' as opposed to buying him from City. That is how I understood his comments.

Agree1 Disagree0

Any video of the goal?

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a tap in from a Tom Carroll through ball

With harry showing interest in adebeyor yesterday it obviously means we are not going to get a big signing anytime soon. I expect spurs to sign one or two big players but I think its going to be nearer the end of the window. Harry has quoted that we need to strengthen the side so I'm not too bothered at the moment.

My phone isnt allowing me to reply under your post but i read earlier that coulibaly had scored in portugal against brighton on a brighton site, cant remember the name but was also on windys blog so check it out. He had a number of shots and was very lively, scored a tap in. Was all young players like mason, kane, obika, carroll.
