Evening all,

Looking forward to the start of the season, lets hope for a good one!

For those of you who remember me from last summers transfer, window I predicted the Adebayor loan deal and confirmed that we would not sell Modric.

A bit of new news for you, we will be signing a striker by 10th July (not Adebayor).

Look forward to some of you counting the days down wishing me wrong!

Spurs4Life

Believable2 Unbelievable2

This is some what vague. We all know that we only have one regular/expirenced striker on the books in Defoe so clearly the new manager will have to address this as soon as he is announced, hence a new striker will have to arrive.

Not so much a prediction, rather more stating the bleeding obvious!!

Agree2 Disagree0

A bit more news for you...

we will be selling someone by 10th july!

cant be more specific ,but its true.

maybe a top player, maybe a squad member.i cant be more specific cos ......

i dont bloody well know!
look forward to some stick from you non believers!

Easy tiger, transfer window is over 60 days long and I have offered you a 10 day window for activity.

Spurs4Life

Agree0 Disagree0

The first ten days after the new manager arrives and will want to stamp his authority on the place.

And the 'bleeding obvious' award still goes to.....

Agree0 Disagree0

I predict we will sign our new manager by 2022.... 10 year gap 10 day gap same difference right ?
Does this mean I win a gold medal too ?

If not then another prediction .... We will sell corluka and kranjcar ....

Still no medal ok one more prediction just because I'm so full of ITK ...

I predict I will get at least one dislike ...

Bear Yid,

You couldnt even get the dislike bit correct - lol!

i feel avb or whoever will have a lot of work to do.
1. buy a midfielder to replace modric. moutinho, danny from zenit or dzaegov.
2. a striker. llorente, cisse, soldado, remy or doumbia are my choices.
3. a left back. i hate assou ekotto. pereira from porto, criscito from zenit or balzaretti from palermo.
4. 2 cb's needed. sakho, rami, bruno alves, verthogen, benatia or subotic are my personal choices.
this is what i think needs doing for us to challenge for the title and i know people will disagree.

THIS IS MY OPINION. whoever is manager will have a lot of work to do. if modric is sold moutinho should replace him or danny from zenit as a second option. A striker. llorente, cisse, soldado, remy or cardozo would be ideal. I think assou ekotto is poor. pereira from porto or criscito from zenit to replace him. i feel 2 cb's are needed. 2 from rami, sakho, verthogen, benatia, bruno alves or subotic are my choices. finally, i feel a goalkeeper is neede. lloris, krul or patricio i feel are the best options. this is my opinion and i know we won't do all of that but if we want trophies i think we need this but i know people will disagree.

Re Superyod, Levy hardly ever speaks in public but you can find plenty of info about some of his long term plans, one being to only buy first teamers whilst developing and recruiting young stars such as Coulibaly and Cellabos and basically to have a world class academy that will produce our stars for the future.
Your frustrated but we are in for an exciting transfer window and no Harry Redknapp aswell which i am very happy about!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

We may well be in for an exciting transfer window, who knows?
Im not frustrated, im very weary. Ive had over 40 years of supporting the club through thick and thin and im , sort of, a bit "so what? about things now. Too much cr*p posted by ITKs who are not and not enough feedback from Levy as to exactly why he let Harry go and exactly what direction he wants to take the club. Call me old fashioned but as a paying customer, if the club wants me to keep paying they really need to communicate with me. Thats not asking him to give out confidential info just a brief summary of why he didnt think Redknapp was suitable to stay in the job managing OUR club. Ive no issues with Redknapp going just issues with a Chairman who doesnt come out and explain the clubs position leaving it all down to speculation and bullsh*t.

New kit is to be released on the 17th. It's just been posted on spurs site

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Sorry but who gives a f*ck about the new kit? Im sure people are far more interested in who is going to be pulling on the shirt and going onto the pitch next season than the latest kit we are all expected to buy, right?
Only a fool is going to part with their hard earned without having a clue as to exactly what the club plans, how they are going to make the step up ( well they must think that they can move things forwards without Redknapp) and who is going to be put in charge to make this all happen....and bear in mind, we havent even mentioned the players who are going/ coming in.
Lets have a bit of dialogue from Mr Levy, eh? Lets actually hear what his vision is and lets see who the new manager is and what they plan BEFORE they start releasing kits and sh*t. lets start putting the important things in order of priority, ya know, the Cart before the f*cking horse!

Chill out m8 he was only saying. Think this close season has really gotten to u go take a lay down!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm down mate. We all friends together here. Talk like that on other sites. Not here

Agree1 Disagree0

Im sure they were and i meant no offence ( Ive had the missus talking about the new kit all fuggin week.....)
My point was that the new kit annoucement is far less important than the new manager annoucement.
I appologise if i came actross a bit blunt.
Super Y*d

Agree1 Disagree0

Super yod the thing is if people don't buy the kits then how exactly are spurs supposed to fund all these new players. At the end of the day it's all relative.

I don't claim to know exact figures or even being that good at math but I'm pretty certain that without the sale of merchandising then it would have a huge impact on what the club can and cannot do financially.

So in affect I do give a s**t about the release of the new kit. And I'm the original poster.

Mk1

Agree1 Disagree0

MK1, what you say has its merits, of course merchandising is vital to the club, my missus spends a bloody fortune at the Spurs shop everytime we get down to a home game, with the cost of tickets and travel, a game can easily set us back a couple of hundred quid, no bullsh*t. Lets put this all into perspective. The club wants us to take an interst and buy into the kit for the new season yet we have had no communication from the club as to the direction it believes it should be taking post Redknapp. All i want is some assurance that the club has a plan and its working to acheive something. Am i to be really enthusiastic about the new kit and sp*nk away my hard earned money on home games if i dont even know whether the week after i buy my new shirt...and one for the wife, we end up with another Comolli/Ramos combination? I know we are talking about the possible AVB connection but, in all fairness, Ramos came to us with a pretty good C.V, he was doing bloody good things with Seville in a two team dominated league and pushing them on in European cup competitions. In other words its like persuading me to stick a deposit down on a new car that i havent seen and something that could be utter w*nk. Ive pumped plenty of my own cash into the club over the last 40 odd years of supporting them, id just like them to play with a straight bat and give us some idea of their plans. Talking about the new kit without even having a new manager in place seems to me to be a bit previous. Let get the new manager presented to us and THEN hawk the new kit. Its not like im not going to buy the shirt !

Agree1 Disagree0

True I see your point. Well hopefully now that they've announced a date for kit release the manager and maybe even a few new faces will be in place before the release date which they have now changed to the 12th

Heard from a reliable source that the Oracle is in fact comedian bobby davro, lifelong spurs fan but all his jokes are crap. My source?? The 'can't wait for the next 62 days of excuses Times' . tomorrow i will read about delays in the damaio transfer, Vertonghen was stuck in traffic on his way to sign, moutinho got stuck in the loo at heathrow. When will u learn oracle. I've read this site for years, I have no contacts, no sources, just read for pleasure. U guys give me hope and I thank you. But Oracle U gotta give up with damaio, I mean let's be honest, We have seen some of the best south Americans flop in the premier league, crespo, veron, kleberson. Yeh he's good but if ur gonna fail with a rumour for 18 months at least say messi, or ronaldo. I felt sorry for u last jan and last sept. The abuse u got was harsh. Now ur either laughing ur a**e off on a great big wind up, or u embarassingly represent our club. I just hope ur a gooner laughing I could at least respect that.

Only what I think will happen if either manager gets the job;

L.Blanc
Players in:
J.Vertonghen
KJH
G.Sigurdsson
Oscar
Lloris

AVB
Players in:
G.Sigurdsson
J.Moutinho (Depending on Modric Situation but the most unlikely)
J.Vertonghen
D.Sturridge

This is only what I believe the two managers will bring to the table. What are your thoughts?

foxspur

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Foxspur, If AVB's our manager the first thing he would do is replace Friedel.

Jermain

A well thought out post foxie. All sensible additions that could improve the team depending on the man in charge.

Until next time....

Not a Tottenham fan here but I just have a question. Is Huddlestone injured and if so when will he be back? Always rated him and I think he should be Englands new holding midfielder in a midfield 3 of him Cleverly and Wilshere. All can pass create chances and get stuck in.
Thanks

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Yeah unfortunately he has struggled with injuries, still a class act. Very good post I agree with you

Agree0 Disagree0

He has had a career threatening ankle injury and he hacks a couple games last season but he couldn't keep for, he has had operations and apparently at one point we wanted to loan him to the MLS to get his fitness back, I think he is jogging again I can't remember, I'm hoping and I think he will be back this season :)

Just my opinion, I reckon no announcements today, maybe just the kit as the under armour logo has appeared on the spurs site.
Reason being, because the euros final is today. DL and spurs will want plenty of media coverage, my opinion again, and the euros is the main thing at the moment

Why is it that Ex players that have played for Redcrapp are now coming out of the wood and suggesting that Spurs could be relegated, It also seems strange that most of the same Ex players have newspaper columns and are working on Sky as pundits, What Spurs fan would be prepared to consider what so called Ex WHU players think anyway. It is about time all the newspapers and pundits shut up and waited till who ever is the new manager is named, after that is doesn't really matter to what they think as it is Job done and the utter rubbish in the express that all the players will revolt along with the supporters if it is AVB I think is a bit strong I would say most players and fans will wait and see what he does for the club before making a decision about him and I don't expect the reaction that happened at Villa with there manager last season that was just a complete shambles and didn't help the players during a game, Lets hope that the spurs fans have more respect for who ever gets the job and the players trying to do their best under the new man.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Is it because the film star that is hr is no longer at the helm that all the crap in the papers is appearing. i for one whoever comes in will be behind him 100pc after all because of chlsk win cl, we dident qualify. bu.....t the media seem to forget at one stage we had over an eleven point 3rd place lead, who cocked that up not abv, and when hr said we played well, he coudent have been looking at the gooner game amounst others. i for one am not sorry hes left spurs will continue good or bad, and us the true supporters will stick by them not matter who the manager weather thick or thin, thats what being a football supporter is all about, and all the critics can stick their journlistest crap where the sun dont shine

Well today is the the day to see if you supposed "ITK's" are actually ITK or just talking tripe!

Reputations at stake here guys!!

Judging by what some of you have said, i expect AVB, Sigardsson and Vertonghen by midnight tonight or all credibility will be shattered!!

Guys with Parker going to be out with an Achilles problem for the first month of the new season ... Sandro going to be in the Olympics * good or bad thing you decide (means he will miss pre season and more likely to get injured ) * where is the Hudd in terms of recovery ... Because all we would have left in the DM department would be Livermore .... Just saying is nobody else slightly worried .... Or would J V * if we sign Him * be thrown straight in and be used at DM where he is a strong player as well as cb , lb .... Suggestions.? Criticisms ?

Go after Luuk de Jong of FC Twente he is gonna be a star. Act now or we will sign no one. The delays in the Vertonghen deal are beyond a joke. If we want to challenge for CL we need to start signing players now.
