Really hope we get a world class playmaker in jan, erickson, moutinho, willian or sneijder......any thoughts?

Would prefer moutinho and eriksen! Sneijder could re build his career and willian no thanks

I pretty much think adebayor was crap yesterday.. lazy... and a center forward playing on the wings.. on d halfway line when players are shooting from counterattacks.. why does avb still persist with him..?

Unfortunately it's our own fault, we asked for 442 and he has only 2 strikers so he has no other choice. I'm hoping he goes back to 1 up front and give sigurdsson a chance as I think he is starting to show what he's capable off.
What does every1 else think?

I'd like to see Ade alone up top with Siggy right behind him. Thought we'd see that against Reading with Demps on the left.

Excellent..... By far the best performance of the season.. We kept a high line full of energy and want to win attitude... Sandro was world class in the middle.. Our future central partnership has to be Dawson and vat they look good together.... Every body played there part... Avb blue and white army.... I'm liking Avb maybe too harsh at the start of the season..... Looking good...

I'm not 100% sure on Dawson - I know he scored a goal, but Reading almost scored an equaliser coz Dawson didn't have a clue who was behind him (luckily Walker ran over and covered), whilst I think Kaboul is better, and Caulker will be better

I would say that during the game Dawson gave the ball away (via a 40yard attempted pass) more than any other player on the pitch. He improved his passing after half time. thats the only thing apart from pace that he is lacking.

however, surely you can see that dawson is not the answer.

Kabul when fit with vat.. At the mo i still fancy Dawson at the back then calk, galas to old calk needs another yr....didn't vat make a mistake, not one if his best games but mistakes happen.. Lay of Dawson plzz didn't he score and clear one of the line..

daws is a great professional and has served thfc fantastically.his do or die approach is great to watch but hes not mobile enough, fast enough or a good enough distributor of the ball for a top 4 side.he gets turned easily and looses his forward to often for my likeing.jv, yb, sc are all better than him, whilst wg gives the rear line his experience[watch him pull the back 4 up to get the offside decisions].sure hes slow but still quality.

Ok so after watching the first half...

Take Adebayor off - he's useless

Move Sigurdsson in behind defoe - he looks good down the centre

Bring on falque/dempsey in left mid (although townsend would have been a better shout if he was on the bench)
