So far we still have not spent a dime.
2 put 2 in more balanced out the money.
The 2 that have gone is no great loss, the 2 in are arguably squad players. We still jet to sign a player that will give us that leap from last season. The top 4 have got stronger in more ways then one and utd won't have a worse season then they did last year so we all want top 4 but can see it so what do the board want?
Even the 2 from Southampton do come can't see much difference there either. IMO we need a centre back, left sided midfielder and a striker (fit and ready to hit the floor running)
The 3 I'd love to see brought in
Hanandez ( utd)
Milner (city)
These 2 run there socks of and would suit the high line game and both are established pl players with goal and more to the point I can see both excepting the move and won't give levy a nose bleed.
The centre back I'd say anyone with pace would be welcome because the high line game with Dawson would be criminal
Views plz.

Hernandez would be no upgrade from soldado, just an out and out poacher, will score goals but only if their put on a plate

Stick to The day job Mrg.

i'd like to see us ship out a whole load of the dead wood and buy a few players who could the best out of soldado. it was ridiculous to recruit him last summer and expect him to play a style of football completely alien to him. all we had was townsend/lennon cutting in from the flanks and lobbing hopeful crosses into the box

Agree0 Disagree0

Kristeva? I agree, lennons crosses were just lobs but Townsends were shots lol.

Totally agree that he was wrongly played but this season whatch him go. Top Spurs goal scorer!

You want my honest answer
Spurs are good for arsenal.the games the rivalry its all a good money spinner, tv want the game.
I am very confident this year, but then I am most years.I believe we will get top two.I've backed us to do so.
I also have backed spurs to be in the bottom 10.I think you will struggle, and believe you have wasted a lot of money, (as have we)But we are a bigger club with bigger finacise.
But you need stability, do you think that you have that with all those manager changes
I think Levy looks to buy young talent cheap and sell them off for a profit, I don't think he cares much about football TBH
Before I get all the abuse I was asked a question.
For me you need a goal scorer, maybe i'm wrong.
With the money going on the new ground you're going to find it hard i'm sure even the biggest diehard spurs fan must have some fear for the next few years, but once it paid i'm sure you will be a force again.

Welshy Boyo,

I will take you prediction.

Shall we have some £ on it?

Or are you just all wind and pi$$?

You state you will finish 2nd and we will finish bottom 10.

State your stake chomper.

We have a small stadium so with ffpr in mind Levy has to balance the books.

@welshgooner

i'd agree with a lot of what you say tbh, I don't think we're going to have a stellar season and I think the next few years could be pretty tough. And for the record, why does it take an outsider to show the majority of spurs fans what ENIC and Levy are doing to the club. They've no ambition other than to balance the books - there's been no serious investment from Lewis, they've wasted ample opportunity to cement a place in CL when harry was in charge.

I know you have a smaller stadium, that's why I think you will struggle, When we left highbury, we where flying and we wnet a good few years with out winning and getting in mediocer players, but that's what our budget allowed.
So that's why I think you will struggle, your not in the champions league, and stadium.could drag you down .but you need to get a bigger stadium to servive

You are saying what a lot a think, but for the stupid and the daft.Which post on here regular.

Maybe you could enlighten us with your fountain of Knowledge.
Maybe give us your predictions, I see you critises everyone else, but don't show your hand.

Fans Welshygooner, Fans with opinions. That's is what we are. Mere fans.

As for predictions, would anyone have believed that Looserpool would have had the season they had last year. I think not. So anything can happen.

Hopefully it will be an eventful season, one we all enjoy. With our teams playing the way we all expect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Welshyboyo, as for the bet, you say you (Arse) are going to be 2nd and we (Spurs) will be outside the top 10. I'm game for that bet.

What odds are you offering?

I will be here all year so upon conclusion of the seasons, whoever loses can pay the other out.

The great news still has not sunk in, how did Levy pull off such a caper under the noses of the circling Real, Barca and Bayern. I thought it would be Bale all over again. Know this time we keep our star player by giving Danny Rose a 5yr deal. If only Levy can somehow get Dawson, Naughton, Townsend and Kane to commit to similar contracts we really will be in business this season. What a message it would send to the rest of the PL and Europe. Spurs do not sell their best players anymore.

Brilliant

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny.! Things are looking up now we've given Rose another 5 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Somebody must have shown an interest, so Levy panicked

Agree0 Disagree1

I have to say I can't believe we have given Rose a new contract, the lad can't defend and his distribution is shocking! Gutted

Brendan Rodgers has a dig at Levy about us wasting the 100m we got for Bale. 'liverpool won't do that, we have a plan'. says it all about spurs really - randomly buying players and asking a manager to fit them into a system. liverpool won't be as strong as last year without suarez, but they'll still finish top 4

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - I think that is a bit harsh on Spurs. The issue was that the plan the manager had was not the same one as Baldini had. It was a power struggle and both lost.}

Let's jt see how Liverpool get on first shall we. Our signings had the worst possible circumstances; trying to replace one of the world's best players, management changes and general chaos and several had injuries and/or little consistency in when and where they played. Not saying all the singings were right but, Liverpool had no Europe and now have high expectations, Champions League games to play and a lot of new players to bed-in, along with losing one of the world's best players.

When you look at the players brought imo the players we got are far better.

Replacing Suarez is as impossible a task as replacing Bale.

The acid test will be how the reds new players settle and gel, it surely can't be any worse than our newbies did last season.

Agree1 Disagree0

I know the Liverpool fans point to the stats, but I don't believe Liverpool will get top 4 without Suarez.

Lukaku to Everton, done deal. Another potential signing falls by the way side. I hope Levy is quick in signing bent or getting defoe back, or another year of scrappy goaless drab play.
