{Ed022's Note - Hi all. I just wanted to notify you all that there has been a pretty hefty update to the Player Profiles website. This update now allows you, the fans, to upload your own profiles on any player, in any league, in any position. So, now rather than seeing just my own opinion on a player, you can now see other fans' opinions also on those players, as well as dropping a comment and giving your own. This update has taken a fair bit of time and I'm hoping that you'll all use it to the full etc, and just to come over to the site and have a look. - www.player-profiles.co.uk - thanks all.}

Sorry not a rumour but press agree button if you think we should build a statue outside White Harte Lane of Ledley King

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Have to say yes and no to this as the guy is a legend and deserves recognition of some sort for his service but no because of the other people who are legends (I.e bill nick). Saying that I still like the idea so I've hit agree

From a Liverpool fan, just want to say what a shame it is that king had to retire, one of the most underrated players of all time. A fit Ledley king would walk into any team in the world. All the best ledley

Thanks good to finally hear something good From a Liverpool supporter

United fan here, Ledley was a great player and I liked watching him play when you guys came to old Trafford. Ledley, Gerard, Adams , Roy keane all one in a million players. Good luck with future ventures Ledley. Premiership will be poorer without you

I seriously think we should bid for alvaro periera, he looks class and it is likely he is not too expensive

Rumours today of a cut price move for cazorla of malaga, they're in trouble financially and he could go for 15 mil. He is a quality player, creative, both footed and can play in the middle or out wide. Would love this to be true would be a great addition. Not a like for like modric replacement but with VDV, Huddlestone, Parker, Sigurdsson, Sandro, Livermore and even Jenas competing in the middle, cazorla could add much needed creativity in the wide areas. Having Parker (or Sandro)-VDV (or Huddlestone)-Sigurdsson, with Cazorla as one of the wide players would give us great fluidity and rotation in the midfield. Was also impressed with Townsend last night, he may finally get some chances this season.

He would be good. do you think there is any possibility of getting him and moutinho or would that blow the bank

So Ledley has retired.

Many years of impeccable and loyal service.
A credit to the game and one of a few, nowadays, who remain with their club throughout their career.

Will be missed on the pitch!

In Ledley we trusted (tries not to shed a tear).

I will admit I did feel upset today and even did shed a tear when I heard the news ... Will be a great shame to not see him play anymore

Damiaos price has been set.. £25million Euros! have to say for a young player with his quality i would jump at that. although i can ser him snubbing us as he hasnt seemed too interested in us!

If chelsea are letting Malouda go, who thinks he is worth looking at?

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I'd rather benayoun on the cheap, always though he was underrated. Versatile, creative and can score goals, when he got chances at arsenal last year he played well. Could be a good player to add competition and variety out wide.

After watching spurs play Stevenage, all this talk about we need new strikers is rubbish. Yes we need ade but I believe we should through coulibaly in to the mix he looks like a real class striker

Believable3 Unbelievable1

If only every team in the Prem were as bad as Stevenage then we would be laughing.

Agree4 Disagree1

Dont know about ade
do we want a player that would be happy sitting on a bench for a couple of years just to keep the money rolling in, then take a cut and play every week
Not what we need

Question: who will be our club captain next year as last season it got passed around like past the parcel? My choice bale then Dawson ( bale for showing loyalty and his place is cemented)
Mr g

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Gotta be Parker, inspirational when he's on the field

Agree4 Disagree1

Parker, Dawson or Rafa

Agree1 Disagree0

Vert. Or Sandro ?

Agree1 Disagree2

Bales not mature enough to be a captain, doesn't strike me as having too many leadership qualities. Parker (however briefly) captained England, Dawson has been vice captain for years, and rafa always give 200% and seems to be quite vocal on the pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to be Scotty or V.D.V.

Agree1 Disagree0

Parker, gotta be. at least until Vert has earned his spurs then he can be captain like he was at Ajax.

Agree1 Disagree0

How about freidel ..... XD

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to be able to play 90 minutes consistently ...might rule VDV out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Trouble is all 3 of parker dawson and rafa are not locked in starters next season. I think sandro will be ahead of scott, vert and kaboul ahead of daws, and I think rafa might not be as undroppable as he was under redknapp to say the least

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally think that if Dawson can shake off his injuries and stay fit then the armband should be his. IMO anyway.
