Sniejders agent has come out and said he's holding out for either Man City or Tottenham to make an approach for him!!.... He'll take a pay cut and Inter will give him a £2 mil golden handshake to leave in January. Come on Levy. For £6.2 mil, it's a BARGAIN

Is this true ed do you know anything about this thanks {Ed001's Note - not a thing, he would prefer a Prem move, he has said that, but not named any clubs.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Is anyone else questioning the excitement around the whole Sniejder link? The question i'm asking is if he really wants prem football and is prepared to take a pay cut then why aren't clubs tripping over themselves to tie this deal up?? Old whisky face would have traded his missus to sign Sniejder a year or so ago, so why aren't he in for him now? Just doesn't add up to me!

Ed's, any chance of a search button being added to the Spurs rumour page?

Thanks. {Ed013's Note - Will look into it mate}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Then you can search all of Oracle's comments! Genius idea.

You can hit control + f and enter in your search term, only limit is to the posts on the current page, so if you want to know what was said lat year you would have to search each pay separately....unless you wanted to know what the Oracle said, he's a broken record with no conscience. {Ed001's Note - I think the search box is done now anyway.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I always think a useful addition would be to highlight any new additions.

The top of the site says when there has been an update but not where or what to.

If its not a new post I can never find it...

Any chance of this ed... p.s. you guys do a great job..even if 99% of what we write is either speculation or lies :)

NorthernSpur {Ed008's Note - Thanks will mention it.

Eds-

If a search button is do-able, how about a "search and distroy" button so I can distroy all of his boring repeatative drivel before I have to waste any time looking at!

Not hearing anything online about damialo other they avb saying highly unlikely. Not even from brazil. I think what ever is left of your reputation depends on if he sighns which i hob he does. Otherwise this whole site is pointless

Any one else get the feeling that as QPR are getting rid of Djibril Cisse that its got a Levy Deal written all over it?

Mk1 {Ed008's Note - Isn't he going to Qatar or some rich arab country/club? He would be a decent squad player for Spurs my opinion.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

I think we are getting too obsessed with transfers (and yes, I know that is what this site is for).

It is undeniable that our squad is not quite as strong as it was last year and I hope this will be addressed this transfer window, but is it really crucial?

Currently, we have 6 points fewer than this stage last year, with slightly fewer goals scored and slightly more conceded. This is what I would expect, given the weakening of the squad.

However, last season we had a great first half, picking up 42 points, followed by a wretched second half (just 27 points). In the end, we finished 4th on 69 points.

This year we only had 33 points at the half way stage (9 fewer). We will need to improve on this in the second half of the season if we want to stay in the top four, but there are two reasons to think that we might.

Firstly, we have started the second half of the season better than we did last year and if our results in the first 22 games are extrapolated to the end of the season we would again finish on 69 points. That might not be enough, but it would certainly put us in the frame.

Secondly, the fixtures might help us.

Last year, we had a tough run of matches in February and March, when we played our 7 main rivals almost back to back (relieved only by Wigan and Stoke). Five of these games were away and only two at home. The run was: Man City (A), Liverpool (A), Newcastle (H), Man United (H), Arsenal (A), Everton (A) and Chelsea (A).

In the event, we only managed 5 points from these matches. This was disappointing, but not necessarily disastrous. It was the points we dropped against Wolves, Stoke, Sunderland, Norwich, QPR and Aston Villa that eventually settled our fate.

This year there is no comparably difficult run. We still have to play all seven of our closest rivals, but 4 of these games are at home: Man United, Arsenal, Everton and Man City. The 3 away fixtures also look easier. They include West Brom (currently in free fall), Liverpool (experts at dropping home points) and Chelsea. We need a steady flow of points from these crucial matches to keep the momentum going and this will not be easy, but we must believe it is possible.

In addition, there are another 9 games. Irrespective of what happens in the crucial six-pointers, maximizing the points we get from these (winnable) fixtures will be the key to avoiding last year's disappointment.

I am still optimistic, even if there are no significant signings this month.

I have a reliable source that told me Oracle talks BS, not 80% but 100% done deal!
It is getting almost pointless logging on here now to see the same old rubbish.

Any poster on here could have told you the oracle speaks bs. Literally any poster(well that's been here for the past 5 transfer windows at least), you didn't need a reliable source for that self evident truth lol

Horst Heldt has said that he is willing to let his players go this window, and with Sandro's surgery, does anyone know if we'll be looking at getting Holtby in sooner? I know he does a different role to Sandro, but it's that midfield reinforcement...

Ok, We are just over half way through the January transfer window and although we have made 2 very good signing in Fryers and Holtby, both of which will not feature this season (Unless Holtby joins in Jan). We seem no nearer to improving the first XI with the creative midfielder or striker we all know we most desparately need. Mountains of names linked as usual most being given by the Oracle with his usual spill of Damiao joining. IMO this window will prove to be as fruitless as the last few January windows. With maybe a stop gap signing as a token to us long suffering spurs fans. Who that will be only Levy knows. I think if he doesn't strenghten and we lose out on a CL place again then Levy needs to go. Its time for us to push on and really cement ourselves as a regular top 4 team and if Levy cannot produce the signing needed then maybe its time to give someone else a go.

THFC4EVER

Believable2 Unbelievable2

How can you say that? Levy has been one of the best in the PL. The most he has spent on a player being £17m on Bentley! And yes although he was a flop, he doesn't do a Liverpool, Chelsea or City and just pay stupid money for players. I am one for Levy, 100%. How many teams get into the CL and stay up in the top 5 like we have, whilst spending as little as we have for individual players. You're a person.

Agree1 Disagree2

Levy has to learn from past mistakes if a manager made the same mistakes over and over he would get the sack so why not levy. even though i like levy

Got a feeling its going to be another dissapointing transfer window we have been linked to so many players, but none of the rumours seem to last and fizzle out. I think if we got a top striker and creative midfielder we could really cement our place in the top 4 and push on but i think that levy is too much of a buisinessman to go that extra mile and is only worried about balance sheets.

ps. just looked at the arsenal board they think they are going to get cavani and if its true imagine him on the end of the chances they create, levy better get the bank card out and sign some real quality coz if they get him that top 4 place looks a lot less likely.
