This is jsut a off topic from who were goin to sign if and thats a big if,if we dont sign a striker before the end window,i reckon that adebayor will get back to form cause we cant forget hes played nearly every match since joining,he wont be available dis wekend thats one week break den the followin week he prob wont play against watford either so he will get a two week break to charge his batterys,he will play then the tues after watfprd game against wigan at home,so if we dont sign a striker by the end of the window i tink ade will still bang in the goals for us second half the season wit the two weeks rest cause he has looked tired last month or so

To The Oracle,

I decline your apology, however do regard it as a manly and noble thing to do, this deserves respect at the very least.

I knew i was right all along and this has made it even sweeter for me. Hope everyone out there will now think twice before contemplating having an argument with myself.

Dembele + Samba will be our two signings, mark my words.

Bostock had a blinder against a Celtic X1 earlier at the lodge, 4-1 to us. Ive seen him a few times he has amazing potential but his development has been frustrating.

Whats happening with him , was one of the next best things ?

With our desperate need for a decent CF , how on eartjh did we not get Cisse , just 7.5 mill and gone to Newcastle , wtf is going on at the lane . This bloke is a fearsome striker , what is Arry and Levy doing ? That is some strike dforce that the geordies have got , and we have Pav , the donkey ! If Cisse went for 7.5 mill then we will be lucky to get 2 mill for donkey . How are we ever going to clear the crap out of the lane when Daniel insists on such stupid prices ! If these players were worth the prices he is asking , we wouldnt be selling them in the first bloody place ! Come on Levy , clear out the dross and get decent players in .
Davo
Ps : If Pav is supposed to be worth so much , how come Gio is so bloody cheap ??

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Shame neither of them will play against you guys though.. think senegal are a knocking bet for the final.
You never know Harry will be talking about Cisse's release clause tommora!

Seriously want to see you guys or City win the league happy toon

Marvin Martin has already stated that he would rather go to Chelski than spurs as we have already made an enquiry.

As a spurs fan this is a little disappointing. However, we were fully aware that as we threw yet another season away that the failure to gain CL football would cost us dearly in the transfer window.

Unfortunately I really don't see many major signings occurring in the window despite us being linked with everyone under the sun. Also with reports about 5 key players leaving or wanting out plus the possibility of HR not being here next season either I'm really starting to fear for our chances next season.

In levy we trust and please prove me wrong.

he's not being banned, it's just after 6 months of arrogance and condescending posts, people are rightfully revelling in him eating his damn words,

am apology would be meaningless if forgiveness was guaranteed, and nobody should be forced to like him now, I for one found his apology just as annoying as most of his posts as it was just him Martyring himself (somewhat successfully by the look of things)

and most people can post their 'opinions' on here without pretending to be on staff at spurs, and without writing things like

"However I will bask in the rays of apology and bath myself in your acknowledgement that you had a legend in your company WHEN I am proven right. Then from that day you will listen and refrain from insults and abuse and realise that The Oracle is not quite the fool you thought he was.

In addition from that day of acknowledgement becuase of your doubting I will make you squirm and beg for the information which you will by then realise was so valuable."

people don't dislike him for "one wrong prediction" people dislike him because he's a twit

if papiss demba cisse is genuinely just 10mil then we absolutely should have been pursuing that, looks like he's off to Newcastle.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

So annoyed they could get him so cheap! banging in goals for fun in bundesliga, strong enough to lead the line, why aren't we in for him?

Leandro Damaio 20+ million

League: Brasileirão

League Games: 51
Goals 21

Loic Remy 20+ million

League: Ligue 1

League Games: 50
Goals: 24

You're all awfully hard on the guy, he has a better goal average in a MUCH tougher league. don't get me wrong I'd die happy if we signed Leandro, It's just odd to see so much praise for one player and so little for another.

{Ed008's Note - Yeah they both have good goals to game ratio's but it's the consistency of their performance and other things you gotta look at.

20million for defoe! i tell the jokes, daniel levy must be f**king high!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

No, 20 million is about fair, we would be losing a british player, whose our top goalscorer and would be strengthening our rivals. I can;t believe this rumour has gone on for so long when it makes no sense for spurs to sell to liverpool. 17 million for pav made me chuckle though

my best friends, mothers, sisters, cook, once cooked for a guy called roger, his uncle's, best friend from schools mother, used to work at a cheese factory, the manager of that cheese factory had 3 sons the middle son, had trials for Tranmere rovers and whilst there met a guy called Barry. Barry's granddad used to breed cockerels, he went to a cockerel breeding convention and met a man called Geoffrey, Geoffrey was the best in the business, and actually owned the cockerel that the one on our stadium in based on, and he heard this from Harry himself

Keep hearing rumours of Levy not wanting to offer Harry a new contract? Anyone know if there's any truth behind it?

If Rednapp does go who do we turn to? Reports today state that Brendan Rodgers has accepted the loser pool job.

Eds any idea whats going on or if there's an update as far as HR?

Obviously if he goes that's just more stress for DL to sort and obviously will have more of an effect on the transfer kitty.

Tottenham Hotspurs are on the verge of becoming a leading force in European football. The issue is they need one more gear in order to push for glory. The days of looking for players like Bentley, Jenas or even Krancjar are over, and it is time that the board looked for real stars. Harry Redknapp is absolutely correct when he says we dont need to buy players who are good as we have many good players who are not able to get into the team like Pavlyuchenko, Bassong, Defoe, Gomes, Corluka, Bentley, Huddlestone, Gallas, Dos Santos, Pienaar and Jenas (OK perhaps Jenas was a little optimistic).

Spurs surely need to look at the positions and provide a real balance and look to excellence in each area of the pitch. Here is my view on the squad and the players I feel we need to purchase in January to push for the title.

Goalkeepers - Freidel has been ultra consistent, but with Gomes looking likely to leave and Cudicini and Friedel on my nans bedroom ceiling, it is clear we need a young superstar for the very near future. Perhaps Tomasz Kuszczak is the answer but I really like Michel Vorm of Swansea or the brilliant Maarten Stekelenburg from Roma.

Left Back - Assou Ekotto has been simply outstanding, and for me is the most under rated player at Spurs. We have the young and talented Danny Rose as back up, but I am not sure he is currently good enough. I was totally shocked that one of the most touted stars of the future joined Newcastle United for only £5.3m. Davide Santon was touted as the next Paulo Maldini and has looked superb for Newcastle and Italy alike. I feel we should fire a substantial offer for this superstar before the big clubs realise he is worth £25m+. He is young, talented and would challenge Assou Ekotto hard for that Left Back role.

Centre Backs - Dawson has looked outstanding on his return and I cannot see how he isnt an automatic selection. Then we have two of the best CBs of all time in King and Gallas but both are in their twilight years and only play 1/3rd of the season each. Bassong has been a loyal servant for Spurs but seems a little below the level required, but for me Kaboul has the makings of being brilliant. He is fast, extremely strong and excellent in the air. Provided he can learn from King, Gallas and Dawson I am sure he will improve his situational and positional awareness. We also have the young Caulker who looks a real prospect for the future, but I feel Bassong, King and Gallas will all be gone in the summer and we should look now for cover and allow that player to be nurtured before the greats retire or leave. Jan Vertonghen should be the focus as this 24 year old superstar is simply outstanding for club and country, and would transform the defense for the next generation post King.

Right Back - Corluka for me is a great defender and more than capable of filing the role, but Kyle Walker has been outstanding beyond any expectation. Probably the most improved player at Spurs and a certain England and Spurs first choice for many years to come. However I want to remind you all of another Kyle in the shape of Naughton who was ahead of Walker when we purchased the pair from Sheffield United. I am absolutely sure that Naughton is as good as the brilliant Walker and we could be spoilt for choice if Harry gave Naughton the same opportunity as Walker has been granted. Whatever way you look at it I would keep Charlie as he is a safe pair of hands in an emergency and allow the young Naughton to challenge in Cup games and from the bench next season.

Wingers - Bale is brilliant, mercurial, fantastic and we must keep him at any cost. Lennon is also a great player even if he is not the class of Bale. The question is who is good enough to provide the cover or even challenge Lennon for his place. I personally do not see Krancjar or Pienaar as solutions on the flanks as both for me lack the cutting edge to challenge for the title. We need to look for a rising world class players like Riccardo Montolivo, Marek Hamsik, Mario Gotze, Christian Eriksen or Eden Hazard. I would push the boat out for Eden Hazard as he looks top quality, and at 19 years old Christian Erikson would make the perfect aquisition for the future.

Central Midfield - The key to central midfield is Parker and Sandro. They are both outstanding players and with Modric the playmaker alongside one of these giants we have an outstanding pairing equal or better than any club. Huddlestone should be kept as he is so talented and provides brilliant cover for the match congestion we will face next season if we compete of four fronts. Livermore has shown enough to warrant his place in the squad but is that enough for such a demanding future one must ask? I would force the purchase of Cheick Tioté from Newcastle for £15m asap. He looks a monster in midfield and would provide the cover to compete on four fronts with Parker and Sandro. He is that good that he could even force Sandro for his place and will provide life after Parker in the longer term who is not getting any younger. I feel with either Parker, Sandro and Tiote we would have the ability to play Modric or Huddlestone in a creative midfield role or even Hazard in the central role with Lennon on the right. For me Tommy has looked fantastic when allowed to create rather than provide the defensive duties which the fabulous three would provide. Van Der Vaart can also sit in this creative role in midfield or we could switch to 4-5-1 depending on the opposition.

Strikers - Adebayor has been great for Spurs and you cannot question his ability. There are always doubts regarding application, but I feel we will see him leave in the summer as his wage demands will be too excessive. The question is who do we want upfront at Spurs and are Pavlyuchenko, Dos Santos or Defoe good enough for the future expectations to be delivered. I personally rate Defoe but he does find those barren spells far too often, and Pavlyuchenko for me lacks that cutting edge and aggression to win in the Premiership. Dos Santos is however an enigma. as he threatens to be world class on occassion and then turns out a Mr Ordinary performance the following week. I dont think he has been given the chances, but it is clear he needs to work harder on fitness and conditioning if he is to realise his superb potential. Spurs must therefore step up and buy one or even two truly world class strikers like Damiao, Tevez or Higuain. I would personally sell our entire strike force including releasing Adebayor back to Man City if you offered me two of those stars. The ideal solution for me would be Higuain & Damiao in my opinion.

So all that said here is the Spurs squad for next seasons impending Champions League including the transfers in and out. I am sure some of the figures will be contentious, but I have used the transfermarkt valuation guide which is normally accurate compared to the press hype. It works both ways for those we would sell and buy so should be a fair comparison.

Sell or release - Gomes £7m, Gallas £4m, King £4.4m, Bassong £5.7m, Krancjar £7m, Bentley £4.8m, Jenas £6.2m, Pienaar £8.4m, Pavlyuchenko £7.5m, Defoe £13m, Dos Santos £4.4m & Adebayor (end season loan termination). = Total £72.4m

Buy - Stekelenburg £7.9m, Santon £6.6m, Vertonghen £10.5m, Tiote £7m, Erikson £11.5m, Hazard £23.5m, Damiao £12.5m & Higuain £26.5m. = Total £106m

This is around the £30m net expenditure promised by Levy to Redknapp to build for next year. I accept that some of the figures are open to contention like Damiao for example who the press report figures more than double the amount quoted. but actually they are not that far off and give us a realistic valuation of players.

This squad would challenge for the Premiership and even Champions League and would allow our youngsters like Naughton, Livermore, Caulker and Kane to develop alongside some of the worlds finest players.

Hope you liked my post
Thank you

I posted yesterday that there were reports of us showing an interest in Stefan radu. For those that don't know he is a very hot headed captain for Lazio and plays on the left wing.

If this is true and we are looking at him do you think it'll be competition or replacement for Bale?

Mk1 {Ed008's Note - He's more of a LB/LWB if anything back-up no where near Bale's level.
