Yeah, agree with C entirely. Wonder what would happen if the club arranged a fee with another club(europe) if the rat would go. If it was Chavvis or nothing i would make sure he would NOT go to p**psville.

Thats the beauty of C. The player is painted into a corner. You either sit in the reserves for the next three or more LONG seasons then, naturally, you go for fook all to who YOU want to play for or you go to a club that WE want you to go to but you get to go straight away. Given the choice, a player rotting in the reserves, hated by the supporters and no longer part of the first team and its banter and togetherness, it leaves the player with little option but to take his chances elsewhere. Fair enough, it COULD backfire with a player deciding to sit it out but, could you really see Modric spending the remainder of his long contract playing reserve team football? Me neither. Its a fuggin ace plan and whether it gets used will depend of the greed and stupidity of Mr levy, by all means make a profit on the turd, just not as a big a profit as you could make selling him to scum. IMHO, as a supporter longstanding, if he gives a s**t about thhe likes of my and my fellow supporters he will act in the right way and not like a t**t.
Somehow, im not convinced tho.

Agree super yid. I think Modder *ukker would be the only one who suffers, good. He started it. He will be getting Charlie Corluka to go public on how he is being "imprisoned" and "suffering" soon. Makes you want to throw up doesnt it? Rick.

Is there a decent striker whom you spurs are after, because the frontline you had against Chiefs was anything but threatning. I ask this because the likes of Keane, Defoe, Crouch and Roman (premiere leauge strikers) should be more than a handfull for Chiefs makeshift defence.
Im not taking the piss or anything just thought that Tottenham Hotspurs would have a decent enough strkeforce to trouble a Kaizer Chiefs defence without their chief cb (pun intended) and Lb.

Concerned football fan

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Which is exactly what we have been posting for ages.
its mainreason we didnt get top 4 last seaon, when it was there for the taking, and the reason why we will fail this year, unless its addressed
they are not good enough, pure and simple.
ship out keane and defoe, keep pav and possibly beanpole if hes willing to play a subs role.

Agree2 Disagree0

Do you think we are all as thick as you "concerned football fan" ? Go and do one, we dont need the obvious stating. You got any friends/girlfriend?

First pre season game after 10 days of training, competitive game in competitive conditions unlike other Premier League sides who are playing games against select X1's from the outer perimeters of the footballing world. We made 7 changes at half time and started with a group of players who are on the whole fringe/squad players - with the exception of Dawson, BAE, Huddlestone and Defoe. Straight in, an opponent who wanted a victory and have a decent level of ability, nice run out for 19 players, what more do you want from a pre-season game?

Agree0 Disagree1

Think we missed a creative mid so if modder does leave we shuld play niko there

We must NOT sell Modric, we must show the reat we are not a selling club and that we won't be pushed around by anyone
If Mod sulks and doesn't want to play then he is in breach of his contract and should have his wages suspended and fined the maximum possible. To many players in modern football think they can do as they please, its about time clubs stood up for themselves in the face of financial bullys like chelski and citeh
Far be it from me to compliment the arses but they are right to tell Barca and Xavi to do one.
You signed the contract Luka suck it up

I quite agree with your sentiments but, i think, its a bit of a lost cause. I look at things from the "Fergie perspective" You get a player who thinks he is a big time Charlie and/or starts throwing his weight about because he thinks he is a great player and earned the right to, what do you do? Do you A) sell him to a rival premiership club? B) Keep him, pointing out that he has a contract till 21, 1112 etc or C) Get shot of him to a club that YOU are prepared to send him to, whether the player wants to go or not. The correct answer is C. Fergie did it with Stam and, more famously, with Heinze who demanded a transfer to Liverpool and ended up in Europe. That is how you maintain control. Every player sees the big picture, try and f*ck me over and you will end up playing in Siberia. Keeping Modric might either poison the other players or, in all probability, he will play because he has to and not because he wants to. Do we REALLY want that? Im not so sure, i dont think Modric is as torn like Fabregas is between the gooners and barca and i dont think he is anything like as professional as Fab, who has never conducted himself in anything other than a dignified and respectful manner, Whatever you think of him playing for them, you cant deny that the man is sheer class, not just on the pitch but off it too. So, while i completely understand what you say, and you put your case with a bit of passion, i dont think it will work, as much as id love it to. Respect to you mo, quality post.

Absolutly agree that C is the best option, I just think that it's time we stood up to other prem teams and plainly refuse to sell to them regardless of how much they offer, if we backdown now we'll always backdown and never close the gap. Honestly think if we're ever going to compete with the "big boys" we have to draw a line 20 years of selling our best to our rivals must stop now

Phahaha you talk such bulls**t.i never said i was in charge. anyway, modric wants to leave so let him, he wont have the same passion as he used to and he will loose all his good memories if we force him to stay. Sturridge...BEAST and john obi mikel we could sell him on.(more money) we are already looking in to bring new strikers with the money we have already so the money we get from modric can be used for another decent midfielder. Why you said we should sell bale and VDV i do not know considering they want to play for the lane unlike modric. so Super Yod, if you have anything nothing decent to say, don't bother weakening your reputation

Matt

Ive got loads of decent things to say like "NEVER make your rival stronger while making you weaker" Thats something you, obviously, disagree with because, in your own words and mind, you are quite happy to let Modric go to Chelsea and feel that we could replace him with a "decent" player. WTF constitutes "decent?" Basically, we ship on a world class player to a club that will piss all over us and we will replace him with a "decent" midfield player. Brilliant I see the logic. Mikel isnt good enough for Chelsea and Sturridge was so good he was shoved out on loan, had a few good games but was no better than a Pennant or Aaron lennon so, its quite fitting that the mighty Chelsea takes our best player, gives as their old chod and £30 million which wont buy anybody thats any good because those that are will see us as a selling/feeder club to the "big" clubs so whats the point anyway?
And you reckon Im talking bullsh*t? Wakey wakey sonny jim, Modric needs to be shipped out but nowhere near another premiership club. Do you REALLY believe that Bale and VDV will WANT to stay if we send Modric to West London? Do you not think that if we ship him on City wont be making a play for Bale? Would bale then not go to Levy asking to be let go? VDV? Man U might want to make an offer for him and, as a selling club to the big clubs, it may seem futile staying with us. what part of all that is going over your head? This isnt about Modric, this is about our club being at the turning point. Make the wrong decision and we will be going backwards that fast we will be fighting relegation and not for a top four finish. Think im exaggerating? Really? Thats up to you but, i will tell you this, if you are content to sit on the terraces every other saturday and watch a procession of our old players from other "big" clubs doing their stuff AGAINST us while we field a team of "decent players" thats your problem, im not
Finally, it says much for your thought processes if you really think that we will take a player in "P Ex" just to move him on "for a profit" Mikel isnt worth a w*nk, which is why, allegedly, Chelski would shift him on. So how much do YOU think somebody is going to pay for such a cast off?

If sandro is out for 3 months then without a doubt I would get either parker or diarra in if possible. I really don't think Levy will sell Modric, after the statement he made he would lose all respect as a chairman and a business man. However, Luka won't be the same player next season, he's past the point of no return.

With sandro out for 3 months we have to look to add another tough tackler to the squad like diarra or we have no choice but to keep hold of palacios. I prey we don't panic and sign Parker. As for modric, he has shown us fans so much disrespect in the last few weeks. The Rat faced cu** clearly doesn't want to play for spurs no more. Do we keep the judas prat or do we sell him to the highest bidder. Personally I'd sell him 'only' I'd we find the right replacement however if we can't find anyone to match or better modrica ability then we must put our foot down and reject every single offer. I personally feel kranjcar could do a decent Job centrally. Would certainly give is more creativity and goals. Azza

Rumour has it that Chelsea will return with a final bid for MODRIC with £30M sturridge and john obi mikel, personally, i feel we should take it

Matt

So you actually think that banking £30 million by seriously weakening our midfield and getting two players who, between them will cost more in wages than Modric earns now, is good business?
I assume you also think that seriously weakening the engine room of our team and seriously strengthening the engine room of a rival club is also ok?
I just dont get your thinking, £30 million may buy us a top class striker but we will be back to the drawing board, we currently have a superb midfield and a s**te strikeforce and all you are suggesting is we swap it around so we end up with a s**te midfield and superb strike force ( i assume thats what you are thinking ) AND we get one so so player and one who is pretty good but we wouldnt know quite where to play him. So, all in all, are you saying we should sell him to Chelsea for £30 million? Maybe we should sell Bale to Man City for £30 million and VDV to Utd for, oh, £20 million? Can you not see where im going with this? Would there really be any point in having ambition and an aim to break into the top four if we just ship out our best players to any club that waves money in our faces? People wonder why i get snotty with posters and, i have to say, this is why i do. I am PASSIONATE about THFC, I would walk the 200 mile round trip to watch them and, in return, all i ask is that the club doest bend over and allow a player and rival club to f*ck them and us up the a*rse whenever they want. Modric? Oh he has been a great servant, according to himself, hey, im sure he expects a f*cking gold watch from the club as if he has just done 25 years with us Played when he was ill and injured? didums we all have to go to work when we feel s**t, on his f*cking wages, id expect him to play even if his leg was hanging off. Personally, id like us to get shot of him, tap up Juve or one of the Milan clubs, offer the fella to them for well under £30 million, just to f*ck chelsea off and send a signal out to every other upstart, "you may think you are in charge, but you aint"

If defoe signed for Arsenal or another top 5 club then he would score 20-30 goals a season. He has scored over 100 premier league goals which apparently is the best league in the world. I can't understand why everyone is getting so exited about forlan and rossi, didn't the best manager in the world f*** them off because they couldn't play in the prem? Keep defoe and bring in someone to play with him, I'd go for drogba......
