Dempsey, Parker, Hudd and Caulker gone for £23-24m. Great set of signings for £58m so we've spent £34-35m ish and kept the wage-bill neutral with releasing players. That is great business to date. Given we have been in the black on transfers for 3years or so and TV money is increasing, we can probably even still land Lamela and Alderweireld without having to sell Bale! If we do sell him but sign those two then we'll have cash in the bank and a good squad. A massive contrast to when we've lost star players in previous windows so, I'm feeling more excited and optimistic than usual. Normally that would definitely result in disappointment as we always find new and wacky ways if blowing big opportunities to push on but. maybe just maybe this time could be different? Let's hope so. We need a good start, 7-9pts from 9 to make a change from many dismal starts that cost us.

Am I the only one wondering what planet huddlestone is on? Soon stated knocking AVB, didn't he!
How long at Spurs, 8 years, then moaning when he got dumped! He couldn't prove his worth in 8 years, wasn't going to progress any further then was he? Then he has the gall to use Jenus and Bentley as examples of good English players we have let go! Yes he is on his own planet, so over rated! I wonder if he is still going to keep growing his hair until he scores, he had trouble seeing the ball at the lane!

Well there are games been played here but not for one minute do I believe, Barnett daft enough to blurt comments like that to your builder mate but if he has barnetts hand has been exposed he and his client ratboy 2 will now have to put in transfer request now, meaning that his cut will be less which is what its all about, short sited bale could have been a legend will now end up a wealthy bench warmer in a hostile dressing room, its going to end in tears

Agree0 Disagree0

Miss quoted do not believe all you hear and see U muppet, see his tweet loved spurs, and AVB Loved us spurs fans god bless the hud will miss him hope he scores, badly needs a haircut nearly as long as the bale saga

Now I've read it all. That's right folks you heard it correctly Bale is definitely leaving because his tax disc expires at the end of this month.

The rags are getting really desperate.

All that effort typing your story, and its all just a lie, why bother?

What a fantastic transfer window with Chadli, Paulinho, Capoue & Soldado already completed. I think we all know deep down that Bale will be joining Real Madrid, and Coentrao will be coming the other way.

AVB & Levy have been very clever with accumulating a small treasure chest on those leaving and likely to follow. Caulker £9m, Dempsey £5.9m & Huddlestone £5m have already gone along with players like Livermore, Khumalo, Pritchard & Mason on loan.

We have systematically cleared out mediocrity that still existed under Redknapp, with players like Gallas, Nelson, Jenas, Bentley, Crouch, Saha, Dos Santos, Bassong, Corluka, Kranjcar, Pienaar and the like all leaving.

The next phase looks likely to see the honourable exit of Parker for £3.5m, the long awaited culling of Adebayor to Besiktas for £6m, and the timely exit of Gomes for £2m.

Lamela seems to be the latest prospect linked, and certainly ticks all the boxes. Eriksen would have been my choice, but it seems Anfield still have some attraction. Alderweireld looks to have been tempted by the roubles of Spartak Moscow, and the noise regarding Willian is sounding like distant echoes.

The truth isevy has spent some money, but will have amassed £30m from those leaving by the end of this window. We already had another £40m from previous barren years and in reality have operated within budget. If Bale leaves for £80m+, one should expect at least two major signings. Lamela at £25m would be obvious, but I can help thinking one final surprise will arrive in the striker department.

With his 4-2-3-1 preferred structure, one might think Soldado and Defoe are enough. Their are rumours that Coulthirst has really impressed in training, and Kane continues to grow for England. Maybe AVB believes he has the tools for the job, but I for one will be rubbing my hands in glee if Lemala is joined by a final gift from Lewis.

Oracle is that u?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not derogatory enough to be Oracle, but I bet he's still visiting, hoping to read others mention his name. The poor fella has to far to much time on his hands during the summer holidays!

Flippit.

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't mention the 'D' word once. Can't be Oracle.

I must say I'm quite impressed with all the signings so far.
We all know the rest of the transfer time is down to bale.
If he stays I can't see his value dropping in one year and I really think we have a great chance to go the the league title or run all favourite teams close. All our new signings come with success from the respective clubs.
bale is out for a month (reportedly) how strange bale, Suarez, Rooney are reportedly injures!
I come her with this question.
Spurs dnt want to sell bale they are not interested in the money that Madrid are offering. So ok that's great BUT of they did sell him then they should put every penny into more new signings wages etc.
Look at the players linked
What 3/4 players would you like for bales money and would you let him go?
Erikson
Willian
And the 2 Roma players ( sorry for got there names)

I'd sell bale.
To me it win win get the above or keep bale

2013/14 league winner thfc if bale stays or the money is spent

Please sell bale.! Al the support spurs ave given him.! Even when he was a useless young left back.! Fair play if he wants to go to a club like real madrid I mean being englands number 1 player, living in london, getting over 100k a week and having fans that completley idleize you and sing your name every week must be horrible.! And why wouldn't you then want to move to a leauge that isint competitive, you won't b the leagues best player, have to learn spanish, leave friends and familly and most importantly risk not living upto the expectation and price tag of the worlds most expensive player when its possible at least 3 players in that league could out shine you in messi rondaldo and neymar. O but I didn't mention you might get double the wages I mean over 100k what he's on nw is just an embarrasing wage to have.! So my questionne to you mister bale is isit really worth the risk of being englands best player to being spains biggest flop.!

we need to stay far away from willian and osvaldo though!
but I think your on about pjanic and lamela? but I can't see us buying both pjanic and eriksen?

Agree0 Disagree0

For me Martinez at Porto, the two roma players and Toby A at Ajaz for the defence .Try and flog Ade and Defoe although if we had to keep Defoe no bad thing.

I am wondering why none of the big clubs have come in for Erickson if he is as good as some posters seem to think?
