In levy we must want out now....
1. Took us of the stock market
2. £££ wasted on Olympic stadium bid
3. Sacked a perfectly good manager
4. To many manager change since levy has been with us
5. Failed to sign quality players
6. We had 4 strikers sold them with 1 remaining ( Defoe)
7. Ego too big

You may stay he kept a sinking ship floating when he took over but FFs sail it.... I give him no credit for the last 3 years that's down to Harry. In jan we got neilson and Saha on loan coz he didn't want to splash the cash. You can say he didn't want to coz Harry's lack of commitment. But we go Avb. Or does he think Avb is not up to the job. I feel sorry for Avb he is in a rite mess. If results dnt happen the terraces will call for Avb head.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Personally i think its fantastic whats going on down the lane

Agree3 Disagree4

Mr g, levy got money from the major, there were also some residential housing and transportation links that we got out of as well. Using the Olympic stadium was a master stroke.

Mr G,

Before Levy we were a mid table team. Fact.
Before Levy we didn't spend much. Fact
Before Levy did you ever think we would play in champions league?
Before Levy did we ever gatecrash the big four?
Before Levy did we ever play such entertaining football upon which even Fergie would comment on us playing better football than Man utd?!

Levy has done well, I too wish he would have spent more in January to cement 3rd but in his eyes, he wanted to buy worldclass people in the summer rather than paying over the odds for Remy and then giving him 100,000 a week to keep him happy.

Naz

Agree1 Disagree1

In response:
1. I fail to see how this is bad
2. As previously mentioned, it allowed us to gain public money by threatening to leave Tottenham
3. Thats your perogative if you wanted to settle for Harry
4. All have been for legit reasons (apart from maybe jol)
5. Bale. Sandro. Van der vaart. Modric. Berbatov. Parker. Walker Kaboul. Vertomghen. BAE. Lennon. Every single player over the last 10 years has been signed by Levy.
6. The windows not over yet, and regardless of how many we had, you wouldn't want us to resign crouch keane and pav just so we could say we had 4 strikers
7. You will get no where in the world of football chairmanship without having a little ego. The meek get nothing.

Agree2 Disagree0

Fanfastic because he is going to make you the laughing stock of north london

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should DL splash the cash like city and chelski.Look what happens.Players and agents get greedy and you can't get rid of them when that time comes.DL has made a name as a hard faced chairman who always tries to get the best deal.I believe we can compete with most money wise now but to do so would be madness. We want players who want to play football not just get a stupid wage.Keep it up DL but please give us the strikers we so badly need for the coming season.

Agree0 Disagree1

Mr G,

In answers to the rest of your questions:

1. He took us out of the Stock Market so we could get invetsment for the staduim. Getting investment for the staduim with a good interest rate would be very difficult/impossible.
2. See previous answer
3. Now you are joking. Redknapp was a joke. If he had said that during our poor run or when Capello was sacked that he would not take the england job and finish the project, this would have given everyone at the club a massive lift. He was thinking with his pocket and everyone knows this. Why do you think Daniel Levy has put bonus upon reaching certain targets in his salary, so stop this happening in future..
4. He has changed a manger when things were going wrong or they did not reach certain targets. What's wrong with that. Is like sacking an employee casue they are rubbish!
5. This with come with time. Patience is a virtue. Vertonghen, quality player and was wanted by Arsenal and choose us. Our business model is to buy young players with potential and to improve the team. Look at the defense compared to last year, a much greater improvement! Strikers... just be patience, I think it will help more if/when we have CL football.
6. Pavuchenko, was not consistent, not eh 20-25 goals a year striker, crouch was rubbish, Saha was rubbish. Just wait til Couibally hits the scene, this guy is quality, He might plays some cups games this year, but next year he will qualify as a U21 player (as having 2 seasons under his belt) and then will be in the first team.
7. He is a great business man.

I know things can be frustrating but just wait until the Fair Play rules come in (Man city are preraing already hence why trying to buy young English players and their new Training ground)

Can we just get rid of Modric the wantaway.! Seriously screwing with our seasons plans. No one will pay 40mil for a midfielder that don't score more than 5 goals a season. Modric out for 25-28m, Dembele in for poss 15m range. Job done.!

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Real now looking at dembele as a replacement should the modders deal fall through

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, take the loss (well we are still in profit) and pickup Dembele, and a damn striker!!

We have a good squad, but our new recruits are being held up from the Modric saga. new recruits will need time to struggle. I hope we don't just end up loaning Sturridge in the final 30 mins of the window.

I posted it a while ago but Alonso said he is not signing a new contract at Madrid, get 20million for Modric and get them to throw in Alonso!

spend 15million on LLorente,
3 million on Zaha from palace, and then LLoris for 15mill.

Job done, 4th place here we come again

Im seriously starting to worry about our options up front and can't see the problem getting sorted until Modric leaves the club! Yes he is one of our better players but either AVB or Levy need to end it and spend the cash ASAP! I don't understand the link with M'vila! Class player but not needed.

Parker or song
podolski or defoe
walker or sagna {Ed004's Note - I am unbiased and would say Parker, Podolski and Walker}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Don't know as much as I love Parker id choose song because he has time still on his side ....
I'd choose Defoe now in the PL as he's defitnley proven .. But it's a bit unfair to ask this one as there is no exp for podilski in the BPL so it should be like chamake or Defoe or RVP or Defoe
And
Walker over Sagna

Agree0 Disagree1

Walker is just quicker than sagna so i think sagna is better and has better defensive qualities. Remember when we got our ass kicked 5-2 he was amazing

Agree3 Disagree3

Song is much better than parker

Agree5 Disagree4

TBH i think them 3 assnal players are better but AVB will make quality signings

Agree6 Disagree3

Gerviniho or Bale?
van der vaart or rosiscky?
lennon or walcott?

Agree2 Disagree1

Vermaelan or vertonghen?
koscielny or kaboul?
arteta or huddelstone?
{Ed008's Note - To show the Gooners im unbiased i will make a opinion on the question.
Song Walker Podolski Bale Van Der Vaart Walcott (by like 0.1% over Lennon) Vermaelen Koscielny Huddlestone

Agree0 Disagree0

So obvious to tell half of these posters are arsenal fans

Spurs Lad

Agree1 Disagree1

Song isn't as defensive as parker. He's a great passer and that scoop pass he does for rvp is very nice, but as a defensive mid you'd want parker covering the back

Agree2 Disagree1

Toot signings - Vertonghen & Sigurdsson
Arsenal signings - Cazorla, Giroud & Podolski.
The pain at the lane, just goes on.....

We have Newcastle in four days and we still have not got a striker who will score over 20 goals a season. Yes we have defoe and I respect him and hope he stays but we need two more strikers. At the moment we are looking at two central defensive midfielders yann m'vila and etienne Capoue. Yes I understand that m'vila would be a good capture but we need a striker more than anything. Sell bentley, jj, gallas and bassong to raise a little bit of money and but a two decent strikers. Remember we will also get Atleast 25m for modders aswell. Adebayor is a must, maybe carrol, Llorente but the best buy I believe would be damiao but we left it too late. If we don't buy a striker we might aswell buy Gary Dougherty and try to finish in a Europa league ace like we tried to do before Harry.

A list of realistic signings for Spurs that would be great acquisitions:

Out
Modric 25m
Defoe 8m
Corluka 6m
Kranjcar 6m
Gomes 2m
Bassong 2m
Gallas 1m
Bentley loan

Ins

Vertonghen 10m (done)
Sigurdsson 8m (done)
Ramirez 13m
Dembele 12m
Adebayor 5m (for huge signing on fees)
Damiao 25m
Butland 7m

50m outs and 80m ins

---------------Friedel/Butland---------------
----Caulker------Kaboul----Vertonghen----
Walker----Sandro------Dembele-------Bale
------Ramirez----Adebayor-------VDV------

Have left Damiao out of the starting lineup as people may see him as unrealistic.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Birmingham are on about 18 m
For butland apparently

Agree2 Disagree0

Mate if we had 30m spare we would have signed a striker or 2 not wait for the modders deals to raise funds

Spurs drop out of Gaston Ramirez race.. Looks like his on his way to either Liverpool or Inter.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Its only wages thats the problem, we are offering what he has at the moment. Liverpool have not made any bid same with inter. Im confident he will join.

What you lot seem to forget is we're getting £25m roughly for Luka. We still have money from when we sold Berbatov, Palacios, Crouch, Corluka, Pavyluchenko, Pienaar. We have slot to spend and baring in mind Levy gave AvB 50m to spend this year and we''ve spent about 20m of it. It's not dreaming. Realisticly we can get Llorente and Moutinho. And can pay wages.
Come on have some faith I'm worried about striker situation too!

RtheYID

Believable0 Unbelievable1

All the transfer money was accounted for in the balance sheet, there is not a stash of money sat waiting in a seperate bank account.
The money to build the training facility etc will see that for the trading year just ended there will be a loss and that will include most of the transfer money you detail.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasnt is said that the published transfer fund included wages so the two signings may only have cost £20 million but on 4 year contacts of say £50k a week you have to add another £20 million ad you can add to that agent fees, signing on fees, and other costs so I guess you arent far away from the £50 already

At last I can confirm for my source (who is a receptionist at WHL), that Ratboy is finally off, but not for the reported £25m, fee is actually £35m with £25m up front and £10m over 12 months he will sign for Real before Saturday, However don't expect a flurry of signing at Spurs before the Newcastle game.
M'vill has rejected a £12m move holding out for CL, Llronte will only join a CL team as well. We will sign Moutinho within 10 days after he submitted a verbal transfer request.

This is now just MY opinion - as for strikers well Ade looks the most likely now, with Damiao, Llronte, Sturridge and Hulk all being out of range or have turned us down. Doesn't leave a lot of options, Rameirz is a possibilty, but i don't feel it is the Mrque signing we all want, think we should bid for ledonwinski (excuse spelling) or Falcao b ut not sure if either would want to come or if we can afford the whole package of fee and wages for either.

There has to be a silver lining somewhere so come DL show us what it is and show us soon.

The Guardian is reporting that AVB is unsure whether to select Sandro against the Toon as he hasn't seen enough of him? If he plays Livermore or Jenas then we are going to get spanked!! FFS AVB i have been right behind you up until now but you are getting on my wick a wee bit now!

WoodyN17

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are there any quotes from Andre. Is there any video or audio with him saying explicitly 'I don't want to play Sandro in the first game'. I could write that AVB is 'reportedly' unsure whether to pick any goalkeepers for the newcastle game, as gomes and carlo aren't good enough and he's afraid about brad's age. Just because someone has written pure speculation in a newspaper with no quotes to back it up does not make it true

Agree1 Disagree0

Dont think we should take any notice of someone sayin sandro wont play how the f!ck do they know avb must play sandro, this season is gonna be a big season for the brazilian hardman of course hes ready

Word going round that we have accepted a bid of 32m euros from Mordic. But we are refusing to let him go until we have a suitable replacement signed.

Rumour has it we have 3 targets that AVB has spoken with Levy about that he feels could fill the role of Modric, but 2 of these are expected to want CL football and the 3rd Levy is playing hardball to try and get the price down. We are expected to have a replacement in place in time for Newcastle, however, match sharpness could be an issue, so we might have to wait a week or 2 before our new signing will take to the pitch.

As for the striker situation, Remy is not a target of ours. He was a target of HR but AVB doesn't want him. As much as it pains me to say because of the Oracle, Damiao is a target, however, the price being asked it too much for Levy to pay, so we won't get him. Llorente is not one we are going to go for. Expect Ade in the next 10 days, then another loan signing to fill the void (not sure on who this will be unfortunately).

Dom

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Right, I've put my thinking 'Daniel Levy' cap on and how about this....

We will get Abebayor.
(Damiao or Rossi) will sign on a pre-contract agreement to come to us in January (this should keep the fee down).

Defoe will be sold in January and Coulibally will be given some first team playing time from January onwards.

The two donkeys will be loaned out as no one wants them!

Gio will either sign a new contract and will play a big part for Spurs or be sold.
