Transfer window for us spurs fans is always painfull!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's not even open yet.
Jeez.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whether it is or isn't open doesn't alter the accuracy of the original post, they are never good, this time though should be different with the politics surrounding bale. either he stays because we have invested in some good signings or he goes and we get a shed load of cash for several new players. if he is sold and we don't invest heavily i'm afraid avb will go and we will become a mid table club.

It is open.

Martable {Ed008's Note - Nope July 1st.

Agree0 Disagree0

There are still plenty of deals that can't go through till July 1st. As that's the start of transfer windows in other countries still.

Seems citeh and chelski must have a different window to the poorer clubs as they have already completed deals.

Ed008,

http://www.epfl-europeanleagues.com/leagues_transfer_window.htm

have a quick looky on the european leagues website (epfl) and you'll see it started on the 11. 06. 13. I admit I was with you on it but thought I better research it just incase, didn't wanna look silly.

{Ed008's Note - I'm totally confused by this unless the Premier League have changed their rules but as you can see most other European Leagues are on 1.7.13 good spot that.

Agree0 Disagree0

With all this found out still doesn't change the fact Tottenham still look a way off signing anybody, except Mr. Baldini maybe, hopefully his signature leads to a bit more forward movement.

The window may be open (as you say) but players cannot be registered with the premier league until 1st July.
Deals may be agree but paperwork cannot be ratified until the premier league allow it.
Which, in this country, is 1st July.

how do you know we haven't got anybody lined up. if as reports suggest ten players are being sold the there will be a strategy in place for new namesto come in. Also as other clubs are wanting AVB (the main reason bale is staying-if he does) he has the bargaining power to force mr levy to make some crucial signings I would say because ths year we have go to sign players or we will lose our best player and a top, top manager.

There is no mention, that I can find, of dates for when special dispensation from the premier league is given, that is neither here nor there. In-fact according to the premier league a player can be signed as soon as the season ends. All depends on the contract situation of the player that's being bought. No contract, can happen straight away, finishing or declined contract, can be done but won't be completed till original contract is completed, long term contract, talking from open window onwards with the clubs permission of course, can sign at any time. May not be registered for competitions but is a player at the club.

Could well be dave. I just picture the scenario as one where we would want to make sure AVB is happy and happy with targets, this will include the director of football he has been asking for and then looking into the scouting channels. Hopefully the happy supported manager along with a happy bale can go to attract the players we need to kick on.

Them manager markets are so volatile these days. Who on earth would back AVB at 7/4 to become PSG boss would need their brains looking at. Unless there's something going on at Spurs we don't know about which is unlikely

I know it's a long shot but what about Nani. Man U want 8.5 mill for him, and considering he was both for around 20 mill? Also he would add good competition for Lennon!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not on £80k a week

Agree0 Disagree0

Not on £25 grand a week! Too inconsistent.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's worth it. he can hold the ball in midfield well and beat a man consistently.

If avb isn't going to make him a starter it would be a waste of money, otherwise it would be a great bit of business

We need someone who is capable of performing in the prem as he has!

Agree0 Disagree0

Definitely would be a great buy. Depends on wages. I would imagine he is a starter if bale plays more central too. Him and a striker would be good. I would like to see holtby given some time in cm next year.

He wanted a new contract of £130K a week a Utd. Not worth that in a million years

Agree0 Disagree0

No, if he isn't good enough fot them and united are that desperate to be us by buying our players all the time and trying to pinch our song! Then he ain't good enough for us
