Give AVB a break! whilst he should shoulder some blame for the late goals he cant do anything for tired legs or players switching off in the final moments of a game! its a staggering fact that if all games ended in the 80th minute we would be to of the table! we need to remember that its almost the exact opposite to the way harry played....things are only gonna keep improving and get better!

In AVB I trust!

Go a great storyline for a movie:

Bloke drives home from work on a Sunday afternoon whilst listening to the Spurs game, after 90 mins Spurs are winning 1-0, the Spurs fans start singing 'are you watching Arsenal' , bloke parks his car outside house and goes inside to catch result..........

Everton score 2 goals!

I know, I know it is unbelievable but what a great storyline.

I have posted here on numerous occasions that matches and completions are won by the teams with the best defensive records. For the last four years we have been in the bottom six for goals conceded. We just can not keep clean sheets. This is more pressing area then a striker or midfield player. Alan Hanson highlighted three defensive mistakes that led to Everton's first goal. Caulker should get his ears cleaned. That is twice in two weeks. It was obvious to everyone in the ground ( except Caulker) that it was the goalkeepers ball and Lloris did shout. I do not accept the line "he is inexperienced and will learn". Good defender have built in instincts and I would not be sure this boy will make it at the top level. We keep knocking Gallas but he made some great blocks today.
Match of the day stated that if the referees blew their whistle after 80 minutes, Spurs would be top of the premiership today. We need to find the answer to the problem. I think it is fitness levels. Just feel so disappointed at losing today when we had three points in the bag going in to injury time.

2 mistakes and you have written him off haha.
Better start booing him and hopefully then AVB will sell one of his brightest young prospects in the January Window, sorted.

Hi Hass, I have never boo'ed Spurs in 40 years supporting them and never will. I was just expressing an opinion. Read my post again, I most certainly have not "written" off Steven Caulker but I do think that he must sharpen up to what is going on around him and must allow his keeper to control his penalty area. I believe his mistake last night cost us three points as I do not believe Everton would have scored the second if they had not got that equaliser ie. it gave them a huge momentum. You will have to admit we have a problem with our goals against tally and particularly later on in the game! I seem to remember some time back, senior squad members complaining that training was too hard! I feel that some teams are fitter then us. I am always amazed at Man U. They are flying all through every game and score late goals on a regular basis when other teams are tiring.

Agree but Man U always have a biased ref and asssistant ref's that give them 5 mins to score.

Caulker is a one of the best CB prospects the club has had since Ledley King. Fair enough the lad has made two mistakes, but all top quality like Kompany, Vidic, King, Kaboul, have made their fair share of mistakes too. He will be a quality player in a couple of years.

In response to your general comment, you are most probably right about the fitness aspects and it is something for the team to improve on.

However, losing to Everton at home isn't anything to be ashamed of, and it was a pretty even game that could have gone either way. The team is also still joint 4th, goal difference aside, and there are still two or three players to come back in to the squad. But the there is room for improvement in closing out matches by both the team and AVB (I do agree that his substitutions were very 'negative')

Hi Haas, completely agree with your post. I too have great hopes for the season particularly if we make one or two good signings in January.
