Will we ever know the truth about the Conte discussions? It would appear that both parties have made face saving statements. I think whoever comes in now will only be interim because it will be another team building exercise resulting in a mid-table position next season but maybe some success in cup games.

I remember when Poch arrived and the players at first were gobsmacked that he wanted them to do double training sessions as he was so appalled with their fitness levels for the type of football he wanted to play. So unless we get another 'special one' the new man will need to crack the whip.

I like Rafa but can't see him coming south as he still has a home in the NW. After losing Harry and hopefully not Son, why not give Ryan another season at the helm. At least he will give the youngsters a go and maybe the new director can bring in a half decent Harry replacement or give Troy Parrot a chance.

As I posted b4, we went a long way in the CL without H playing.
