I must agree with the earlier posts, that was a pathetic penultimate league game. My head was in my hands when Reguilon scored at the wrong end and reached for the bottle when he gave it away for their second.

Did he make them look good or what. Some dynamics were restored to our play in the 2nd half but not nearly enough to break Villa down. Harry will be a big loss, but we played a lot of games in the CL without him and made the final.

Could we play without a defined striker, I think we could. The issue will be if we can hold onto Deli, Son etc. Our defence does need strengthening and we need players in the midfield who are not so easily brushed aside.

Dare I say it but 7th or 8th this year with next season out of Europe and a chance to build. Let's hope we can still attract new players and a suitable manager. COYS.

I like your optimism Tiffy, but it’s hard to see us as anything more than a mid table team without Kane.

The lack of investment in defense and the failure of the midfield purchases, with the exception of Hjoberg, will take 2-3 seasons to rectify. That assumes we have the finances to do it and don’t squander the funds that we do have on the wrong acquisitions.
