Hi Ed! Hope everyone is safe and doing well. Could you please do an update for Spurs? Would help return to normalcy for a short while!

{Ed002's Note - Everything is very much up in the air, the list assumes that Mr Mourinho will stay and that money will be available and deals with players they have looked at. I very much suspect that little money will be available, and the purchases might be limited to money gained from sales. So, as an example, if £100M could be raised from sales, about £80M will be available for purchases.

Hugo Lloris (G) time has come but will squeeze an extra season out of him to save money.
Kyle Walker-Peters (RB) Crystal Palace and Southampton have been in discussions with Spurs over taking KWP on loan for next season as the player is keen to get game time after this season’s loan has been disrupted. The problem is that Spurs are keen to sell Serge Aurier and Milan are pushing for a loan to buy (as they do not have the funds to buy him and a low bid will fall on deaf ears). Milan are also being pushed to take Kenny Tete. If Aurier departs it means that any move for KWP could well be delayed until Spurs can get their replacement (ideally Elseid Hysaj) in.
Serge Aurier (RB) available.
Danny Rose (LB) available.
Jan Vertonghen (CB) is out of contract and Mr Mourinho wants to rebuild the defence.
Juan Foyth (CB) will be allowed to move on if cover is found.
Eric Dier (DM) may be available.

Ugurcan Cakir (G) Trabzonspor accept that they will lose Cakir in the summer and will look for €30M or so for him. Mr Mourinho is a fan and Spurs are keen on the player as Hugo Lloris is getting no younger. Bordeaux have been scouting Cakir as the form of Benoit Costil is seen as erratic this season - and although well stocked with goalkeepers, the form of Benjamin Lecomte has resulted in Monaco taking a look - but apparently deciding against a move for him. Leicester are aware that Kasper Schmeichel cannot go on forever and have looked at Cakir. Real Madrid are not planning on adding a goalkeeper this summer but do have him as an option to their preferred target if they change their minds. Previous interest of Reims (who opted for the well thought of Predrag Rajkovic instead) has gone. Lille have looked at the player in the past and could start looking again if Mike Maignan were to leave. Schalke were expected to make an offer for Cakir last summer as Ralf Fahrmann and Alexander Nubel were having a pretty torrid season. In the end they replaced Fahrmann (who will return in the summer) with Markus Schubert (which they may well regret). Again, they could look again as Nubel is heading to Bayern Munich in the summer to replace Manuel Neuer. As a wildcard, Genoa have shown previous interest in Cakir but sold Ionut Radu to Inter in the summer, who then loaned him back. That has not worked out well and in January they took Mattia Perin on loan from Juventus - leaving them still needing a goalkeeper in the summer - but they will need to avoid relegation first. Cakir has always stressed to his agent that he wants guarantees of being first choice if he moves.
Andre Onana (G) if Lloris were to leave in the summer then expect Spurs to be one of the clubs looking to Onana.
Ben Foster (G) a Free Agent and low risk option. But not a starter.
Elseid Hysaj (RB/LB) No approach to Napoli yet but JM is aware of a need to look at the FB situation with Danny Rose and Serge Aurier not required - although Ryan Sessegnon could be used as a LWB.
Max Aarons (RB) still seen as a viable option
Youcef Atal (RB/RM and a hat trick at LW) less likely as he is out injured for the rest of the season - so risky, but sustained interest
Ricardo Pereira (RWB) first choice for Mr Mourinho but very unlikely.

Layvin Kurzawa (LWB) a third-party has mugged Arsenal in to looking to a constantly injured money pit - a Free Agent option who will be able to join in the summer. Inter are also keen and the player may well opt for them, but he is not their first choice. It is expected that Sevilla will provide an interesting option to the player. The same third party has also offered the player to Barcelona who are looking at spending carefully on some so they can splurge on primary targets - but the injury situation bothers them. Juventus and Spurs interest has likely gone.
Joao Cancelo (LWB) I doubt the player would be interested without CL and Spurs may look to using RS as a LWB.

Kalidou Koulibaly (CB) a favourite of Mr Mourinho and he wants Spurs to commit the money for him but Napoli will start with a price circa €120M and accept around €80M – no chance.
Djene Dakonam (CB) might be viable.
Benoit Badiashile (CB) Chelsea are interested in taking Badiashile in the future but also interest from Wolves, Newcastle and Spurs. However, he would never achieve Home Grown status in England, so it makes a move less likely for now and he has signed a new contract. Forget him for a year or two but I am advised he is potentially a huge emerging talent.
Robin Koch (CB) There is plenty of interest in RK from the Premier League as he is seen as a solid and reliable player who is easy to integrate as a replacement for aging and departing players. Leicester have a depleted and aging central defence with Morgan and Evens heading toward the end of their careers at the highest level. They have an option on Ryan Bennett but ideally want to add Kock to play alongside Soyuncu. Spurs have issues in central defence with the two senior players needing replacing so adding at least one CB to what is now a pretty poor bunch makes sense. They will see RK as a good solution. Napoli are prepared to let Kalidou Koulibaly leave at the right price and see RK as one potential replacement. Leeds are looking to RK as an option if they cannot persuade Ben White to sign a permanent deal. West Ham interest looks like it will only come to the fore if Issa Diop leaves, and that seems unlikely unless West Ham are relegated - when a whole new paradigm kicks in. Benfica want to keep hold of Ruben Dias but will cash in at the right price – which is when they will look to RK as a replacement. Freiberg want to extend his contract.
Nathan Ake (CB) Manchester City and Spurs are keen on taking Nathan Ake. He is well known to Mr Mourinho and HG.
Ben Godfrey (CB) - another HG option. Difficult due to the ridiculous £50M asking price.
Chris Smalling (CB) a cheap back up plan.
Ruben Dias (CB) has been first choice for Chelsea, Manchester City and Spurs. The price is a staggering €100M which will end interest from Chelsea and Spurs. Expect a move from Manchester City to recruit Ruben Dias regardless but they know Benfica will want a premium and will be hoping that Manchester City will throw money at him. Interest of Manchester United left with Mr Mourinho and Wolves are not able to fund a move and would need to make significant sales and then have a tough job persuading him that dropping down a level is a good idea. In 2019 Real Madrid hatched a plan to buy Eder Militao that summer and add Ruben Dias in 2020. Things have moved on and others sit ahead of him in terms of their preferred choices. Options are looking limited at this time unless Manchester City throw money at him of Spurs can persuade him to make the move and figure out a way to fund it.

Denis Zakaria (DM) Borussia Moenchengladbach will sell but Spurs and Bayern Munich baulked at the €60M asking price - other clubs (Borussia Dortmund - as a Weigl replacement; Manchester United - but only if they get a decent coach; and Inter Milan who won't be able to commit to the price and want Matic instead) have been looking at him.
Boubakary Soumare (DM/CM) - Soumare is being touted around the clubs that have money to spend and several have spoken with Lille but want the €60M asking price reduced. His "agent" (and I use the term loosely) says the player has no interest in joining Spurs or Arsenal but his client is the ideal replacement for Pogba or Kante and is attracted by the money available to players in England. Valencia, Real Madrid and Napoli are others who have been looking at him on a regular basis - but price is an issue. Until the summer Manchester City had an interest since he was at PSG and it was suggested he could fill the role of Yaya Toure well. Monaco saw him as a Bakayoko replacement but have stepped back. Watford pressed Lille in the summer but they would not sell. Brands wanted him at Everton but was forced down the Gbamin route by an advisor. Newcastle and Leicester also showed some interest that went nowhere. Won’t happen.
Geoffrey Kondogbia (CM/DM) Spurs have taken to looking again at GK as a good solution for midfield as the chances of getting their preferred option are slipping away.
Gedson Fernandes (RM) undecided on taking up the option – will see how next season pans out.
James Maddison (CM/AM) Unlikely and interest may have left with MP - perhaps MP will return to Maddison when he has a new job.
Todd Cantwell (LM) a Lallana replacement who shares and "agent" with Sancho - and he says Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester United have enquired about Cantwell. Not a priority, so no.
Philippe Coutinho (AM/LW) after missing out on Bruno Fernandes and Hakim Ziyech Spurs have enquired after Coutinho and been told that a loan fee would €30M for a season with an option to buy at €50M at the end of the season with any loaning club paying half his wages. I would expect any interested side pus for a significant reduction. The player is being offered around PL sides.
Ianis Hagi (AM) could end up wasting his time on the bench – very unlikely
Isaac Lihadji (RW) kiddie from Marseille who is attracting interest of several leading sides - will not be interested in joining MU but Arsenal and Spurs have spoken with his agent - much to the annoyance of Marseille. Common sense dictates he should sign a new contract and stay where he is.
Willian (RW/LW) Chelsea want him to stay and Willian wants to stay - the offer is a one year deal and then an option on the next year against the desired two years plus one year option. A low cost option that is of interest to Spurs and Barcelona. Sarri could look to taking him to Juventus if Douglas Costa moves on. Family keen to stay in the London area, he co-owns a business in London and everyone is settled. Chelsea have stopped negotiations on all contracts for now and he is well known to Mr Mourinho.
Everton Soares (LW/AM) Lots of clubs have been looking at Everton Soares but none are interested at the Gremio asking price of €120M nor the for sale price of around €80M. I would not hold your breath at all. Over hyped with an agent happy to let a third party hawk him around to clubs who are open to the slightly odder arrangements.
Jonathan David (AM/S/W) Gent youngster who has attracted plenty of scouts to watch him this season including those representing Wolves, Bayern Munich, Aston Villa, Southampton, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon, RBS, Lille, Everton, RBL, Arsenal, Leicester and Lazio. Lyon are looking for a replacement for Moussa Dembele and RBL who are looking for a replacement for Timo Werner have both spoken with Genk who are open to the Canadian leaving at the right price. At the start of the season Napoli and Brighton attended matches to watch Roman Yaremchuk but were apparenty were also impressed by the performance and versatility of David. The player has said he would be open to a move to Germany or England but Germany is the preferred destination and a decent offer from Bayern Munich would be welcomed but might put the nose out of Joshua Zirkzee (AM/S/W) who is just breaking in to the side.

Victor Osimhen (S/F) One particular Liverpool scout is pressing for the club to sign him. Barcelona have also shown an interest but they have a financial issue to solve first - he only joined in the summer and Lille will resist any but the most significant of bids - hard to see why the player would consider a career on the bench. Spurs have looked at him and spoken with his agent. There was interest from Arsenal when he was much younger.

Timo Werner (S) Mr Mourinho is keen but there are concerns about the cost. Scratch him.
Luka Jovic (S) I understand that Mr Mourinho wanted to take Jovic on loan until the summer but the player, who is not getting assurances from Zidane, wants a permanent move and game time. Knowing that Real Madrid are looking to add another striker in the summer he needs his career back on track. Spurs could make an offer. Napoli are also keen.
Vedat Muriqi (S) might be a decent solution at a decent price.
Serhou Guirassy (S) makes little sense but Aston Villa has taken a look as have West Ham, Brighton, Bournemouth and Spurs who have had the player offered to them. Amiens want some of those nice English pounds and no English clubs will pay over the odds.
Joe Gelhardt (F) Wigan kiddie who has attracted a lot of attention from Premier League sides who had trials with Liverpool and Everton when very young. Spurs and Chelsea have both spoken with Wigan about the player, but both came away thinking he should stay where he is for a year or two to develop - and Chelsea have a much preferred option. Manchester United have sent an ex-player to look at him and I understand Liverpool, West Brom and Everton have also been scouting him. Another one to perhaps keen an eye on. Scratch him.
