Walker looking like he is gong for £50m and Dier likely at £60m. When you add Bentaleb £16m, N'Jie £6m and Fazio £3m we arrive at £135m.

When you add £60m fro the new Nike sponsorship deal.

The £147.5m fro mourn Premiership and TV Rights, one would expect to see some major signings at Spurs.

Iheanacho, King, Barkley, Zaha and many others all linked, but at this stage little news outside 19yr old Foyth CB from Argentina.

We need 4 big player signatures at CB, RM, CM, RAM and CF.

We know Lamela is returning to fitness and Janssen has looked sharper lately, but they are not ready to support us on 4 fronts.

Spurs fans have waited for this time for decades and now expect the club to push on and sign some stars for the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle.

Iheanacho should be part of the Walker deal + £35m, or perhaps Sterling is a possible swap.

Herrera could be perfect if Man United want Dier so badly, or perhaps Mata is surplus.

One thing is certain the fans expect massive signings and Levy better had deliver this time around.

Fully agree with you oracle and what a top post, we've just sold walker for 54 million and I can guarantee you we won't see any top quality coming in. Lemar and aubameyang are available for a combined 105 million and that would put us very close to winning the league with those 2 but levy isn't interested in top players only cheap and nasty that won't improve Tottenham.

Hang on Oracle, there's still a stadium to pay for and as Poch said, we'll only sell those we want to sell. Sad that Walker's going, but he is replaceable. Dier isn't going anywhere.

As for players coming in, a replacement rb is obvious now and apart from a winger, what starting position is a desperate fill?

It's about depth and development. Let's give them some time on this. We got some good signings last year and with 1-2 solid (not necessarily incredible) signings we'll be hundreds.

Spurs are showing they are a selling club, and players want out lol.

It was Talk sport but they had a journalist on earlier and his ITK was the club will not spend more than £45,000,000 on one player and his wages will have to be a maximum of £70,000 a week. Star players will not be arriving and only squad players are being looked at as with those numbers you cannot improve the first eleven. Take from that what you will, but would you bet against it? Probably just end up being Barkley on transfer deadline day.

Wodbod, Sanchez, bellerin and ox chamberlain are all off this summer, and you say spurs are a selling club lol.

The complaints are ridiculous. The season is still a month away, and we don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of cash to improve the squad. I'd rather we spent any supposed transfer bonanza on keeping the squad together, anyway, we should give the likes of Onomah, Edwards, KWP, CCV, Winks every chance to become the squad depth tat we're clamouring to buy. If we can pick up some quality that Poch believes in along the way (Meyer? ) great, if not, we'll go again with what we had last year, and I expect us to have another great season, with or without the whinging from the support.

Oracle, I don't think Sterling is even an option. His wages would be way out!

Raver the difference is mate we ain't going to sell Sanchez, ozil or the ox. We're going to give them away next year. We're a giving club. And you do have a stadium to pay for but in the world of crazy prices I don't expect you to go through the same hassle as we did. Walker 50 million all day long and if you get good money for that plank dier I'd sell. Poch will replace them with better for half the price.

I totally agree with you TTID. We've got some brilliant youth coming through - they need a chance.

Who here would you replace:
Lloris
Rose
Alderweireld
Vertonghen
Dier
Wanyama
Dembele
Eriksen
Son
Alli
Kane

You want Aubameyang? Fine, Son and Alli will get less game time. Great. He'll also shatter the wage structure, and you can forget about Keziah Stirling getting any football.

You want Lemar? Same situation. You want Herrera? Fine, Harry Winks is going to love that.

We don't need marquee signings. We need depth and youth.

Dier and son are bang average, and Eriksson goes missing in half the games he plays in. As for the youngsters none of them excite me and most of them will be playing for a crap premier league club or a championship club in the near future.

11.) 14 Jul 2017
14 Jul 2017 12:15:56
Dier isn't going. What we've done is sell our weakest link in the team. We're selling a player for £50m who lost his place to a player city gave to Burnley for free!

12.) 14 Jul 2017
14 Jul 2017 12:16:24
Totally disagree with you there Raver.

Son is direct, pacey, skillful and can finish. He can play on either flank, number 10 or up front in a deeper lying role. He also doesn't demand to play week in, week out. Any club in Europe would have him.

Dier has a lot of potential - I've already said that if we took 60 mil for him I'd be fine with that, but he clearly isn't bang average. His role on a pitch is rarely going to see him win MOTM awards or have much in the way of a highlight reel but he's a classic example of a player who enables other players to flourish.

As for Eriksen, we'd have been 23 goals worse off last season without him. He's still only 25 years old, his best football is ahead of him.

As for the youth, if Winks, Onomah, Edwards, and Walker Peters to name but 4 don't excite you, then why are you following Spurs, or football at all? They're young skillful energetic players - how have they already disappointed you?!

T-T-I-D I honestly cannot believe you want to cite the stadium as the main reason for a lack of investment. We were the bottom club over the previous 5 years in NET player transfers. Behind, Bournemouth, Swansea, Hull let alone the bigger clubs.

We have a genius manager in Pochetino and we need to get a grip and buy players who can improve us.

Lloris, Alderwiereld, Vertonghen, Wanyama, Dele and Kane are the backbone. Rose returning will add some flair on the left, and Eriksen looks world class most of the time, but all the other positions need to be strengthened.

Lemar, Dembele, Isco, Joshua King and Alfie Mawson would do me. This would free up some of our first XI and provide the opportunity to rest players knowing we have strong replacements.

CCV, Winks, Onomah, Edwards and a few other need to go one loan to clubs that have come up. We are in the Champions League and pushing to win the Premiership. As such we cannot afford to put inexperienced players in the way of success.

Lastly having banked the last 6 years fortunes, signed a £150m over 5 years Nike deal and still have the stadium banking rights to come, I think the stadium is nicely covered from all angles.

Arsenal fans can gloat all they like, Lacazette is a great signing and Lemar would be even better. The problem is Cazorla is finished, Sanchez is leaving and the core of the squad are made up of average to poor players.

I am a massive Levy fan for taking us this far. It is time to spend and win something roe sell our beloved club to a multi billionaire who is prepared to bring the glory back to Tottenham Hotspur's.

I see The Oracle's reading skills are no better than his prediction skills. I didn't mention the stadium once in my post. What I said was, trust in Levy, trust in Poch, and have faith that they know what they're doing. Trust in the kids, if that's who we have, and most importantly, get behind the team.
