We have scored 10 goals less then any of the other top teams, drawn More games then any other game n the premiership and conceded the least number of goals.
That tells us that our defence and midfield (defensive part) are fine.

Our problem lies in our creative ( or lack of creative ) midfield. Eriksen is not the answer. Has the odd ( very odd) great game but more often then not he is useless. We need a top class midfield schemer who can control games on a consistent basis. With a player like that, the goals will start to flow.

Jansen is being slated for not scoring. Kane was not scoring either before he got injured. Last year Kane created and scored a lot of his goals. 'This year that is not happening and we are struggling.

Can't expect Jansen to make and score goals. How many giltedged chances has he missed? I believe he will be a good striker when we start creating chances for him. My New Years wish, sign Isco!

Take out Hugo, Toby A and Harold, we are average. Led by an average manager who specialises in drawing football matches with a style that is boring, defensive, slow, narrow and full of sideways passing. When he does use a plan B its going from 4231 to 4141, and when he brakes our transfer record its for Moussa Sissoko. A very overrated manager.

Bit over the top there lucas. You guys have played some much nicer football under poch and he's drastically improved your team and mentality. I remember under villas boas you lot would lose games 6-1 to city now you guys have played them off the park the last couple of meetings. For the amount poch has spent and the fairly short time he's been with you lot he's done a superb job, definitely made improvements under him so to call him over rated is pretty unfair.

Yes we avent been great I agree but really. already the MoPo haters are out. We started the season without Dembele, probably our chief creator and tormentor last season. He comes back and hets injured then comes back again, our top scorer for 2 seasons is out injured and our best defended then gets injured. I think we are in pretty good shape at the moment with very good players to return not only from injury but also to form. Last year on here MoPo was a god. Now we are faultering slighty he has to go. Get behind the team through good and bad. There will be more good times than bad while MoPo is here. Janssen will score goals, but I do agree we need a consistent creative midfielder to break up stubborn defences. The reason we are drawing games is because teams realise how good we are and defend deep. That is a compliment to us, we just have to find away around that. When teams try to match us (like Man City) we can beat anyone but the lesser teams who sit deep and tuck in and play on the counter we have to find a way to break them down.

Absolutely disgraceful criticising Poch and saying we are average, some people obviously have very short memories.

When you aren't playing well but you still don't get beat you are doing something right, I completely agree with THFC4EVER in that teams are sitting back at defending against Spurs and that is a sign that the team is feared, I too am a believer that Ericsson is overrated and lacks the pace and guile to open up a packed defence. would Isco be the answer? Possibly.

Ultimately I'm confident that once Kane returns and starts scoring the wins will come, but in the meantime drawing games is far better than getting beaten.

Lucas, I don't know what team you've been watching for the last few seasons, remember when the so called big 4 we're put 4 and 5's past us. That has now been fixed, we play some great football, For a team that's not firing on all cylinders at the minute and we're still up there with the teams who have spent millions we're in a pretty good position wouldn't you agree.

Interesting post Pauli but stating those stats does not necessarily mean your conclusion is correct. It could merely mean that Spurs are becoming a first and foremost more defensive minded team. Similarly if a team goes all out attack - Kevin Keegan's Newcastle and most recently Klopp's Liverpool - then they are more than likely to concede more goals. That does not mean that, despite what some might say, they have the worst defenders of the top teams. One thing for sure for me as a neutral in the Premiership camp (my team I won't name but are League 1) is that I enjoy / enjoyed watching the latterly mentioned teams and am getting rather bored with Spurs and Man in particular this season. Sorry!
