25M for Modric hey ed? Hasnt your team Chelsea just spent 30odd mil on an unproven player, and Torres. I suppose their prices are about right too, hey?
Fact is he has 5years left on his contract and he is classed as the best cm in the prem. Typical Chelsea bull, lets hope Chelsea get as much bad luck as they have had good luck, that should relegate the ponces from Kings road. {Ed002's Note - I was not asked about the price of any other player - just Modric. I also fail to understand why some anonymous glifnard like you then just wants to dribble nonsense over the page. Jerk.}

Believable8 Unbelievable7

What a waster lol cant even campare yourselfs to the mighty blues .....ktbffh....only looked on here for a laugh it worked

Agree7 Disagree14

Disagree with Ed 002, just because he's not an editor doesn't mean he's anonymous, you may think your words have the same sort of clout as spurs possess in midfield but i'm afraid nothing can equal that.

COYS

Agree6 Disagree0

Sooo... Has Modric been sold to Man Utd. then? someone reply!

JOHNN COYS!

Agree1 Disagree5

{Ed001's Note - he clearly is anonymous, is that a little difficult for you to understand that no name = anonymous? Nothing to do with being an editor or not.}

Agree4 Disagree6

The post COYS simple took the word anonymous to mean irrelevant. ED 002 was using the word in it correct context as the adjective meaning to write a post without using ones identity.

ED 002 did use a patronising and abussive tone in his response. This set the medium for COYS to take a word out of context or meaning. I can see how it happened and agree with ED 002 regarding the original reply. I have to say the number of times that basic English has been interpreted with some new meaning is frightening. I myself continually bombard you with exorbitant verbiage, and like to effervesce with sesquepedanialismic fashion.

ED 001 very professional, ED 002 accurate response but leave the aggression and ridicule to those who are not editing.

Well done levy selling Modric to the mancs for 25 mill when 10 mths ago you wre offered 40. Bale will be next to want to leave and with van der vary wanting to return to Germany you will be competing with the likes of stoke and villa next season lmao. Great business.

Believable10 Unbelievable16

Wake up will you!!
Just paper talk. He will not go for anything less than what we was offered last season.
Levy, if nothing else, makes sure any deal is in spurs best interests. Why do you think vert is not done yet.
Modric will go, I hope, but I will guarantee, we will get players in return

Agree10 Disagree4

Oi gooner. You need to worry about your own team.
No RVP next season eh.
LMFAO at you too pal.
You are a selling club, a feeder club.
We proved last season we are not.
The difference is, your good players move to bigger clubs. Ours have to stay.
Wake up and get your homework done.
Back to school Monday

Agree9 Disagree9

Typical gooner.
Just like there stadium, their site is lifeless and so quiet, that they have to look into sites full of proper fans discussing football.
Is it lonely over there gooners?
LOL.... How sad

Agree9 Disagree7

How stupid can you get ?? To actually believe these stories ..... Just goes to show how moronic you can be

Agree7 Disagree3

It's so obvious that it's a load of trash. We accept 25 million when we want over 40 million. Modric accept £125000 when chelsea offered £200000. Its just lazy journalism.

Agree8 Disagree5

Let him go, then build a team with the cash will get, sad to say but i would love to see berb back at the lane, poss nani as well..

Agree3 Disagree6

Visit the Man United page and you will see they are singing the 25 Million song.

Agree5 Disagree2

Does anyone here have confirmation of Chelsea offering 40 million pounds to spurs or 200,000 pound wages a week.

Fabregas went for reportedly 33 million , aguero going for 35 million and these fans value him at 40 million at the age of 27.
No CL football to offer

Why dont just demand Rooney + 50 million
for modric. When thinking goes wild sky should be the limit.

Agree5 Disagree3

Eds can you clear up the likely price? {Ed002's Note - I would suspect £25M or so is about right.}

Agree1 Disagree5

FUNNY AS HELL not only are you excepting 15 million less than chelsea offered also you loose your place in the the CL to them seems like you have have lost out on soo much money because of chelsea must say i think its fantastic happy spursday nights

Agree1 Disagree4

Chelsea spend a £billion and win the Champs League with their backs to the wall for 3 matches and more freakish luck than any team could have in 3 decades let alone 3 games. Well done to them but it's a victory for the billionaires and not for football. Tons of silly money is why Chelsea are where they are otherwise they'd still be battling for top 4/5 at best, FACT!!

Agree8 Disagree3

Don't worry gooner. You will be there after CL group stage.
You haven't got a hope in hell.
By the way, luka modric.... Last 2 seasons,
7 goals, 6 assists. If someone wants to pay 25 or 30mill, snap there hands off.
The hazard deal to Chelsea has set the price for this deal. Won't get any more than 30 now.
Good luck with your 12mill for RVP. Maybe you could buy another gervinho or chamakh.
Now that is something to really laugh about.

Agree4 Disagree2

But did Chelsea ACTUALLY offer £40m or was it Harry trying to bump up his price-tag? This is what SSN based their info on:

"Forty million apparently was offered yesterday - whether it's true or not, that's what I heard," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.

It was no more than a Del boy stunt to try and up Modric's price-tag. Chelsea never offered £40m and Spurs would never have tuned that amount down.

Sydney!

Agree8 Disagree3

You wanna play that game do you gooner.
You could of got 50mill for RVP last season. How much you goner get this season when he goes. Maybe 20 tops.
Now that is funny.
Go back to your morgue site and morgue stadium or do lifeless places scare you

Agree1 Disagree5

Anyone else find this hard to believe? he's quoted as saying he will not discuss his future at all until after the Euros, having been with the Croatian squad for however many days now and suddenly today the transfer has come to fruition? i dont question him leaving, or even the 25m when compared with the money thats been paid for Hazard and Kagawa it seems reasonable, although would love more toward 30.

and on another point, replacements?!
Moura
Eriksen
Ganso
Casemiro
Dembele
Cabaye
......

Agree3 Disagree3

Funny how chelsea have bought everything when the facts show that spurs are the second highest spending club behind man city and youve still won f all ...arsenal will still be above you next season and the next and the next ...you dreamers

Agree5 Disagree6

Seriously, I know it's banter, but I don't get why gunners "fans" who don't sign off or have never even posted on our page, come over here and spout drivel, it shows the rest of us up, especially as we know what it's like to be shafted by a money grabbing midfield midget.

D

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a bit cruel to call Harry a midget

Agree1 Disagree0

To the person who said spurs have spent most check your facts. Chelsea have spent close to 350 million up to date In last 5 years whilst selling about 120 million making net spend 230. Man city spent over 550 million and got 180 mil making net spend close to 370. Tottenham have spent 240 mil but got back 180 mil making net spend 60 odd mil. Both man u and Liverpool have also spent more

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeah im a gooner fan but i love hearing all the gossip on transfer news and banter surrounding all the big name clubs including spuds. to the person saying we could have got 50 mil for RVP? so? just won the golden boot, epl player of the season, etc etc. and unlike your money grabbing midget modric hasnt said he is interested or wants out - i believe the dutchman will resign. in saying that, modric is no where near worth the 40 your after. honestly worth about 23-30 and if you dont bail him off to another club then hell just do what nasri did to us.... play s***? oh wait? didnt he/ hasnt he already played s**t for you? 7 goals and a couple of assists in the last 2 seasons.... thats amazing stats! to be fair and cutting out the slander i do actually like spuds. i love our rivalry and our challenges. you lot need to accept that modric has to go! no good trying to keep him for another season without CL football, as hes already to selfish and would just chew your budget keeping him there and make him even more cranky. on the other hand i dont think that bale will go. he shows heart for white heart lane and compassion for the club - something i actually admire in him considering there are to many high profile footballers chasing that coin and considering he could have joined the emirates not long ago. i look forward to seeing both these clubs sign new players and contesting pure football next season. oh one last thing. to the person that said to my fellow gooner - go back to your morgue site and morgue stadium? just remember we have a bigger stadium then you. oh wait? a bigger stadium then chelsea too.. oh and morgue stadium? didnt realise we attract ghosts and no fans to our stadium. terrible effort in a way to come back at someone mate

Corbs Adelaide Gooner

Agree4 Disagree4

To the arsenal fan above

Thank you for being somewhat civil

However with the modric scoring rtc
That just isn't his game ... Statistics showed for no. Of passes / pass completion / pass to chance % / long pass completion... He was the only player to feature in all of these categories in the top 3 of each one as well
... Statistically if we are looking at cm *as some people where just claiming the best in the mid field ( i would rather categorise ot a bit more ) *
for the same game he plays he the best in the EPL certainly .....
As for continuing our rivalry
Let's hope it does continue and no more of these bloody more money than sense people comes and buy any more clubs and does a Chelsea / man city
Or else I fear whilst there may be rivalry it will be rivalry to finish 5 th or worse

Agree4 Disagree2

Makes me laugh with your list of replacements!
all of those want champions league football
go back to fifa

Delegation from the club are out in sao paulo trying to hijack Roma's deal for gameiro! Levy sees him as a suitable replacement for Modders. Levy sees £10-15 mill for Gameiro as good business especialy with the £25 mill plus we will get from united for modders.leaving enough left over for the striker we so desperatley need.

Believable1 Unbelievable10

Gameiro plays for psg! it's casemiro that plays for sao paulo atleast make what your saying correct.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed a deal with Nottingham Forest for the transfer of highly-rated centre-half Jamaal Lascelles.

Spurs have beaten off competition from North London rivals Arsenal to land the 18-year-old, who has made just one senior appearance for Forest. The Gunners had a £5 million bid for Lascelles rejected in January but did not increase their offer, leaving neighbours Spurs able to pounce.

The England U-19 international made his professional debut for Forest in January, starting as the club lost 2-0 to Burnley. In March he was loaned out to League One Stevenage, where he impressed, making nine appearances and scoring in their 6-0 away victory at Yeovil Town in April.

The youngster is expected to sign a five-year deal at Spurs for an undisclosed fee, with Harry Redknapp willing to let him remain at Forest on loan for at least one season to continue his development.

Lascelles will face long term competition for a place from a host of talented defenders at White Hart Lane. The club are expected to complete a deal for Belgian international Jan Vertonghen this week, while England U-21 star Steven Caulker, who spent last season on loan at Swansea, is expected to return to the fold next season.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Because Spuds are going to bid more than 5m for someone.

Agree2 Disagree1

Makes sense for us to sign him, after sending home the brazil under21 captain, who just got 1st full cap.
Strange, very strange decision yet again

Agree2 Disagree2

How is this Strange??
Im sure you was not saying the same when we purchased Walker and loaned him back.
I think it's good we are still looking to purchase young english talent.
Think we should also look at Nick Powell the young Crew lad.

Agree3 Disagree0

Ideot, he was on loan at stevenage last season, get your facts right

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to post drivel but I was absolutely splitting sides when I read the above post calling the post before an 'ideot'.

ED seriously there is funny and darn right hilarious. That post has sent me to bed with a massive smile on my face.

According to Clotofsh1te.com city are preparing to offer us Ade,and Johnson + cash for Bale.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

I say take it.

Agree3 Disagree8

Me to, 1 player does not make a team and he will spend more time on the bench.

Agree2 Disagree1

Subject to how much cash cold be a good deal. Looks like they're all living up to pick over the bones of our failure to qualify for CL.

Agree1 Disagree1

Good deal? How? If Ade and Johnson are not deemed good enough, even as squad players for City, why the f**k does anybody think that they will make us that much better than we already are? Am I the only one here that is having his p*ss boiled at the prospect of, yet again, being a feeder club to the "big clubs" in the Premiership? What more proof would you require to concede that, if we keep selling our best and most coveted players to our league rivals we dont get stronger, they do. This is like jumping off of the Titanic, finding a good life belt to keep you afloat then handing the f*cker to another passenger. You then have to tread water hoping that you can find another belt that will actually keep you afloat. Thats what i really love about us, no f*cking ambition and no manager/chairman who has the gonads to tell want away players like Modric " Ok, you can go BUT you will go where WE tell you to f*cking go!! For a point of reference, think back to Japp Stam who was sent abroad and Heinze who was NOT allowed to join Liverpool but, again was sent abroad. Levy, you c*unt, if you are going to sell him, take a few million less from a club anywhere across the channel, eh?
A truly f*cked off Super Y*d who may as well not bother.

Agree2 Disagree1

Don't be too f'd off mate. these are just peoples' opinions and levy hasn't sold any one yet. if you ask me, i don't think any teams have the money or players to buy modders or bale, we don't need to sell them, and simply won't sell them unless the price is extortionate and there are quality proven replacements available. besides, one team's reject may be another's gold - just because players aren't suited to one club it doesn't mean they're not suited to any club.
hk_yod

Agree2 Disagree0

To be fair, the last time any decent rumours were being discussed about our top players being sold, in that case to Utd, they ended up with Carrick and Berba. Im not ready to see this particular rumour as out of hand. Its nrmally the most outlandish rumours that have legs, right? I accept, at some stage, our very best will go elsewhere and we will have to replace them, thats not an issue. The issue is who we sell to. If we were West Brom, Wigan, Everton ( ive got a soft spot for Everton) etc, etc, then it would be "one of those things" that a big club would come in, take who they wanted to take, whenever they wanted to. Well are we that kind of club or not? Does Levy have the b*lls to tell other Premiership clubs that they are not getting our best?
The point about players being suited to some clubs but not others is a fair one. Id venture that Johnson is no less suited to City than he would be to us. Ade? He has hit the ground running for his previous clubs then dropped off, couldnt be arsed and been moved on. Can we afford to take that gamble?
So we end up with two players for one, two sets of wages ( more than we pay Bale at the mo) and we dont actually move the club forwards...
Ok, all speculation and, yes, possibly b*llsh*t from the press. Thing is, we have been down this road before and we have lost players and ended up treading water. How far have we REALLY come under Redknapp? Two top five finishes by Jol, and a couple of top four finishes under arry isnt exactly forging ahead!
Am I cynical? yeah, i think i am.
Regards
Super Y*d

Agree2 Disagree0

F**ked off as well , not only reading these crap rumours but we have to sit here while Arry fu**s off to Poland and Levy disappears ! Whats happening about our transfer targets ? Are we waiting till after the Euros when everyone who is any good has a higher price , or till the last day when we end up with all the old sh**e who no-one wants yet again . If Fergie wants Modric , then tell him what we want , not what he offers . We dont need to sell and if Modric doesnt like it then stick him in the reserves for the first two months of the new season , that will sort out his attitude , same with any of the others .
Davo

Agree2 Disagree0

To bad you can't pay neither of those players wages.
