following on from the conversation with someone new last week with I checked with my source and he said Damiao and Mounthino were "doable" and that the money wasn`t the problem. The last time he said "doable" it was regarding Lloris and well before anyone else had a sniff.

Rumours going around that we are the un-named club that have bid for taison. Hopefully we will get him ahead of chelsea like we should have done for oscar.
Also we are looking into bidding for damiao, moutinho and also a centre back but don't have a name yet!

Have aldo heard although it is very unlikely that we are keeping an eye on whats happening with Hulk after his falling out with his new club Zenit. Probably way too hopeful though!

Believable1 Unbelievable9

Unnamed CB? Could that be Alderweireld?

U can have tiason! us chelsea fans dnt want him! wouldnt get near the first team! i think you boys would hope for damiao he is a player!

Agree3 Disagree2

Would rather zaha than taison

Agree1 Disagree6

We been speaking about DAMAIO for 3 years now Kev, he needs to move somewhere just we can stop bloody talking about him.
Anyway, you have taison, we will have isco.

Agree4 Disagree2

Can't believe you lot keep going on about zaha what has he done for palace? Nothing and when he came on for England he looked ordinary at best. He is a championship player not champions league player come on you lot do your homework . The player we should be buying is willan without question the boy is class that's why avb rates him so highly. Willan for me guy's he's only 24 and is proven in the champions league.

Agree11 Disagree2

Bet we do get tiason instead of isco! isco is insain player who ever gets him gonna one hell of a player just hope them goons and city dnt get him! this tiason bloke couldnt find a pair of tits in a strip club why on earth we want him is beyond me mabe it will help oscar settle!

damiao would be a massive upgrade to ade i think he bangs in goals wouldnt mind him at chelsea to be fair but can't complain with ba

Agree1 Disagree4

How close are we to signing Zaha Ed is it just intrest at this point or have any formal approaches been made this guy looks like a world beater for the future and evryone wants him would be such a gd signing {Ed002's Note - Crystal Palace will look to hold on to Zaha until the summer and if they get promoted perhaps after that. He was to be allowed to move this past summer at the right price with Sunderland, West Ham and Reading look possible destinations. Liverpool have certainly looked at Zaha in the past but there has been strong recent interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs (as an alternate to an expensive Willian perhaps). Game time will no doubt be a factor in the short-term. Arsenal will ease of on interest if and when Walcott signs a new deal.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

As likely as signing Messi and Ronaldo.

The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree7

You mean about as likely as DAMAIO and Olympic stadium oracle.
You got a cheek.

I thought we'd burned our bridges with palace after the bostock deal ?

Agree0 Disagree2

I believe the Zaha link is mainly his agent trying to boost interest. He's an interesting young prospect but the reported asking price and other demands has seemingly deterred a lot of clubs including Spurs, at least so I understand

Rumours picking up pace that Ade will be going to the African Cup of Nations, does this mean that a striker is inbound if true?

Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News: Spurs Close to Deal for Leandro Damiao. (Bleacher Report) any truth ed? {Ed002's Note - See other answers please.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

I would be brilliant if he were to join up, but, as I have said, I am doubtful he will do so.

Ed, any updates on Leandro Damiao And Joao Moutinho? And also will lewis holtby join in january or june? Rumors are saying that he will join this month? {Ed002's Note - There are no significant updates. Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter, Milan and Juventus. Lyon, Arsenal and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. The summer saw rejected bids from Spurs and PSG. Spurs, both Milan clubs, Roma or (much less likely) Juventus may force a move - and these remain the most viable destinations right now. His club value him at an unrealistic 60M euro which they obviously won't get anywhere near - and they don't want to sell. He has complex ownership issues so it will not be an easy ride for any potential buyer that wants to negotiate a low fee. The player says wants to move to Chelsea but their interest would only be there if other targets were not achievable, but they have taken a look at him. Spurs lost Modric but stalled over a summer move for Moutinho. Whilst I understand that interest from Spurs remains and efforts are being made to strike a deal, they will need to not only stump up whatever fee Porto think is right but also do a hard-sell on the player, as Moutinho has hinted a move to PSG would suit him best - and PSG are interested. The agreement is for Holtby is to join in June. That may change but I really cannot advise.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Moutinho move very much on. Can see him moving very soon to the lane after all issues sorted out which is in progress. sneijder looking unlikely now

Have been speaking to mate who is a season ticket holder for qpr and he says that he heard, qpr wanted to take 3 of ours players either on loans or permanent contracts, he said they players where hudd - perm, daws - perm, livermore - loan, fulham but levy does not want to deal with redknapp and would rather sell both daws and hudd to fulham and send livermore out to eitehr norwich or villa

Sky reporting that Holtby could join this window for a reported fee of just £1.6m

Why move BIG Tom on he is a Defensive Midfielder Holtby is an Attacking Midfielder. I can agree with maybe loaning him out to a Premier league team to find his feet but sell him...... Nah

Agree7 Disagree5

When did Hudd become a defensive midfielder, did I miss something? Can't tackle and no pace or endurance. He's got plenty of passing ability but he's no way a defensive midfielder!

Agree7 Disagree4

Keep Hudd as back up and sell Parker while he has a bit of value !!
Davo

Agree4 Disagree12

Whatever position he is playing the hud is not good enough. It has been proven this year. Look at stats for games in which he has played and which dembele has played. Very clear. Get in holtby early and then Damiao and everyone would be happy. I know it's not that simple but Damiao has a price and if we offer it then we will get our man. We do need to start clearinghouse the dead wood, ie Bentley, hud, jenas been at the club far too long without making impact. In AVB and Levy I trust.

Agree3 Disagree0

Selling Parker would be MADNESS in the race for a top 4 finish. What if Sandro got injured? We have made enough money on transfers so keeping Scotty Parker as back up surely makes more sense... Should the worst happen (Sandro got injured, please lord noooo!) then Parker over Hudds all day long...

Agree8 Disagree0

Instead of going for Zaha, why don't we try and sell either Hudd or Livermore (we don't need both) plus gomes and try get rid of bently and jenas while we're at it. If we sold these players it would easily make up the 10m price difference etween Zaha and Damaio who i believe would have a radically better impact at spurs.

Believable13 Unbelievable1

I agree, but its actually selling those players which is difficult. If any of them go it will just be loans as usual.

Agree6 Disagree0

Who in their right mind is going to pay Jenas and Bentley wage requirements to leave us ?

Eds, any real transfer news that you are aware that may well come off?

Welshyod {Ed002's Note - Not beyond what has previously been explained. There is certainly interest in Zaha now, most probably as a more affordable option to Willian.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Hey everyone, Eds. Not sure if you agree but I'd personally see Zaha as a rather unnecessary signing, particularly if as Ed002 says - he might be seen as an alternative to Willian.

From what I've seen, despite him being dynamic and creative, we can't expect him to light our midfield on fire like we would expect from Moutinho or Willian. Would he give us much more than Dempsey or Gylfi? Would he even make the bench? And given the fact that we have the likes of Coulibaly, Cabellos, Carroll, Falque, Townsend, Kane and Lancaster up and coming, who are all good attacking options - will Zaha be that much better than them by the time he does make the bench? Bearing in mind that we are trading his progression into the first team for the opportunities of our "homegrown" talents - I think it's pretty pointless.

At 10 million, I'd prefer we put some of that cash towards getting Holtby in early for a couple o' million. Then put the rest towards getting a striker like Damiao, who by all accounts seems within our reach.

Expect few big signings in this window that levy never gave villa boas much money in summer was because he never wanted to put to much money into a risky plan but he is already impressed in villa boas work and will back him financially all the way securing a champions league spot knowing to much is depening on Defoe a world class striker will be coming in to Mach a world class manager and we will not get are midfield playmaker till the summer due to champions league football and depending on form of rest of season will be hijacking william or securing a move for moutinio Big j lfc
