We have 100% bid for Gaston Ramirez.

spurs guvnor

Believable11 Unbelievable7

But prob a bid that failed ! we all know levy wont pay what there asking for him

Agree6 Disagree2

Im told it was a £12Milllion Bid

Spurs Lad

Agree2 Disagree3

Thought liverfool had a bid of 12.5 million turned down
ou812

Agree1 Disagree0

I want this lad in our tem..looks quality and is a young player who would fit perfectly in our team and make our other wingers work harder 2 try and keep their place

dapz

Agree2 Disagree2

18 - 20 mill euros there looking for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that liverfool the most successful team in english football u lot come 4th and you start running everyone down wouldnt like to c u if you won as much as liverpool utd r too a lesser degree arsenal glad chelski took your cl spot big heads you are, slightest bit of success ,remember we won something last year u won f--k all and are in the same use your reserves european comp as us,smaller ground less fans by a long way round the world 4th is as good as it gets for u lot we are on the rise.Tommy Irish Red.

Agree3 Disagree3

Read the thread again muppet, nobody had a go at Liverpool. It was mentioned we may have bid £12m and comment was that Liverpool had already had £12.5m rejected. As for on the way up, not that difficult after such a fall. Well done on scraping past Cardiff on pens after your £125m spend!

Agree1 Disagree2

Who u calling a muppet all i did was state a fact we win trophys and still the season is failure and if you look a few posts up one of the posts call us liverfool ok so lets see how it goes this year where we r back in our customary position ahead of u lot.Tommy Irish Red why dont u sign your post.

Agree1 Disagree1

Haha, my apologies, i'm the blind-muppet, didn't see that said LiverFool so thought you'd got all menstrual for nothing, fair play. Bit sensitive though aren't we mate, i'm sure Sigurdsson isn't that good to be bothered about getting gazumped on by the smaller club?! When is the last time you finished above us again?
Anyway, good luck for the season, it will actually be very interesting to see if Rodgers can turn you lot around, personally I think he had success on Martinez's blueprint at Swansea so may take some time. As for us, AVB and no strikers, looks even worse.

I think damiao will sign, Tottenahm may have to up there anti though, i reckon about £18m will land him. I think Cesar will most likely sign for spurs as he will get pushed out of 1st choice keeper and inter will mostly likely want to cash in on him while hes not too old. Sturridge should also sign seen as chelsea decided they wanted every midfielder on the planet. I dont think Modric will leave until Levy gets the right price which i think may take until January, its not as if his contract is up for renewal. As for Ade i think he will sign, hes just been and holding out as long as he can.

Adebayor & Damiao deals literally finalised and will be announced imminently as predicted all those months ago.

The Oracle

Believable10 Unbelievable12

Imminently?

Oracle - noun 1. a person who delivers authoritative, wise, or highly regarded and influential pronouncements. 2. a total douche who perpetually posts nonsense on spursrumours.co.uk in his masochistic quest for abuse from readers

COYS

Agree8 Disagree5

I actually have a strong feeling damiao cud sign i hope anyway but wont be announced intill after brazil are finished in the olympics thats if we do sign him ade i think will sign before the newcastle match

Agree2 Disagree7

No! you 'Predicted' Damiao to join all those years ago...Not! By luck he 'Could' be joining a years later then you stated last year...Biggest BS on the planet.

Spurs Lad

Agree6 Disagree3

The Oracle breaks his silence!!

Agree7 Disagree3

How imminent today, next few days, next week. Would love this to happen though.

Agree5 Disagree3

Nothing will happen with Leandro till the Olympics are finished or leastways while Brazil are still in it, but unless we match or get very close to matching the price Internacional want then it won't happen for yet another window. It's no secret we would like to tie up deals for both players but equally they are not done yet and if it were that simple they would have been

Agree1 Disagree2

Please oracle be right. Look I'm desperate for a couple of quality signings, our striker situation is rubbish.

The rabbit.

Agree5 Disagree1

So, Oracle, the club decided 2 years ago that they were going to sign Damiao and Adebayor in Summer 2012? Not last year, or the year before, but Summer 2012? Rubbish. The situation changes every week, the club just goes with it. Sure they have targets but nobody knows who's going to agree to what or who's going to come in at the last minute with a new bid - that's football!

I don't understand what you are trying to claim? If you were 'ITK' then they would have both signed the week after you predicted it, so obviously you're not 'ITK'. So what are you trying to claim? That you're MAGIC?

Agree5 Disagree2

I don't know, but I do believe AVB and Levy had a plan to address he striker issue. Don't think AVB would have joins without one. Plans don't always work out though either for a multitude of reasons ..Damiao and Ade was highly likely the plan, wether they pull it of mains to be seen. But waiting until Brazil is finished in the Olympics would only be respectful if an player has been signed that was still competing in it.

Agree1 Disagree1

It's worth remembering brasil play a friendly next wk also so it could b the Thursday/friday b4 first game b4 It's concluded.
Espur

Agree0 Disagree0

After his performance at the olympics, i would be surprised if a bigger club than tottenham got him now, spurs should have acted before the olympics, like chelsea did with oscar..

Agree1 Disagree1

But what about all other "predictions" ?
you seem to have gone quiet about them

hoose

Agree2 Disagree0

The negativity of the majority on this site is a worryingly destructive energy. Damiao has been our primary transfer target for three windows. To be fair to Internnacional they were not prepared for Levy to steal their star player. Derisory previous offers were rebuffed and the Man City Adebayor deal was just too attractive. Levy has kept this warm and it was agreed Damiao would stay until this window.

If I am wrong you will lambast me, if I am right I was just lucky. You add no value of any note and simply ridicule, I recall loads of post telling me what a douche I was when Damiao was linked with other clubs. I recall the same when Internnacional expressed they would keep him. What Everett way you twist it your critic is biased and worthless.

One thing is certain is that Damiao and the Olympic stadium have been my stuck record for an eternity. I recall my first post about Damiao and half of you didn't even know who he was. When the Brazilian superstar links up with Adebayor very soon at least we will all be pleased. Then when the Olympic stadium takes a twisting turn our way perhaps then you might find some grace and admit that the douche here was actually you !!

What happened with the early transfer talks of huntelaar, doesn't seem to be any more news on him, he would be the perfect fit and better adebayor

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Adebauor scored 17 assisted 12 y do people forget this ? Who's to say JKH would do better ? What because he has good stats on football manager and FIFA ? Ade is proven in premiership snap him up

Agree3 Disagree3

Just thought i'd mention Adebayor if im right scored i think 8 of those in penalties last season taking it down to nine goals in open play which is not quite so impressive.

I want him as he was good for us and played well but he missed a hell of a lot and often didn't seem to get a shot on target, though he was much better than anyone else we have had lately, plus before people were missing their penalties.

but just thought I would mention that with the quotes of 17 goals all the time!

Marc

Agree2 Disagree1

That is very good but playing as a lone striker in a top four club you need 25+ goals huntelaar is a prolific goal scorer.

Agree1 Disagree0

If we had to pay over 10 million for Adebayor then he's not worth that pay the extra and get Huntelaar as he's in his last year there and scores for fun in any league but if Ade only 5 million as reported get him
ou812

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't forget 3 goals from open play given offside against Chelsea, Wolves and Stoke when they were all onside! Incidentally, one of them would've been worth third place!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont forget Marc that of all those assists, 4 came in one game - the thrashing of Newcastle, leaving 8 for the rest of the season. One assist every 4.75 games - hardly prolific.

Flippit

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem and reason some spurs fans don't want Ade is because he is a massive distraction when he throws his inevitable strop (he has done this at every club, Arsenal, Real Madrid and ManC) and despite how well he played last season, once a perm contract is signed he will be a different player and will once again no doubt return to his old self and walk around the pitch showing off because things don't go his way. He was agood stop gap last year but really don't want him on a perm deal. Please Please Levy & AVB sign Damiao and Sturridge.

THFC4EVER

Agree0 Disagree1

Marc there is no way that 8 of his goals were penalties

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find I am right that around 8 think it was either 7,8 or 9 were penalties and as Flippit said 4 of his assists came in one game.

He was definately an improvement on what we have had previously, though as pointed out a lone striker should be in 25 goal territory especially with the good play we had last season. Imagine where we would have finished with a lethal striker like all of the top 3 had,van p, rooney, aguero/tevez etc people who can make their own chances and score aswell!

Ed can you clear up the adebayor penalty stats of last season.

Marc
{Ed008's Note - I've looked everywhere can't find anything but i'd say 1/3 of his goals were penalties from what i remember from last season.

The more I think about it I cant help but think if Moses goes to Chelsea then Sturridge will be going to Spurs.

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Ra does not need to sell and if he did he would copy levy and demand over the odds which levy wont pay

Agree4 Disagree2

I can't see us signing sturridge, don't want him either. I think he'l end up at lvpool or possibly the goons.
Espur

Agree2 Disagree3

I agree, he's greedy! He'll score a blinder once in a blue moon and struts about like he's the pups nuts! I'd sooner see coulibaly come through and push for a place, Europa league football could see him getting a start! He's a lively lad....

Agree3 Disagree1

Pssible going to Liverpool but I cant see him staying at Chelsea and whilst LFC need a striker Spurs need one more and there aint a lot of choie without spending big.

Agree1 Disagree0

I would of liked him but after watching the Olympics I'm not so sure now seemed out of his depth all the time and would hate to have to rely on the that now

Why are people saying we need to sell Modric before buying, sorry that doesnt sit with me.. what about the money we got from keano, pav, crouch, palacios, Kranjcar, Corluka etc. pretty sure theres enough there to whack a load of cash down for a big signing..

Haymaker

Believable7 Unbelievable3

We have now spent £18m on Vert and Sigurdsson but, before that in the past two years we've only spent £5m Parker, £8m VDV, £6m Sandro, £3.5m Pienaar (who has gone back for £1m more already) so I make you right with all those other sales, we're definitely well in the black on transfers over the past two years, plus Champs League money.

Agree4 Disagree4

Suspect we have to clear out some salaries also to actually be able to pay some of the people we have been linked with the money they want to play for us.

Agree0 Disagree2

Exactly could understand saying we had no money if we had broke the bank on a big signing but there are so many players we have sold and are yet to properly see big investment.

Haymaker

Agree0 Disagree2

But we have just had a 40 million pound training facility built

Agree2 Disagree2

Are you not forgetting two crucial things.... new training ground & new stadium.

Agree2 Disagree3

Yeah but if u build big training facilities and a big statium you need big players or it wont get filled. If Levys wanting more profit its pretty obvious he will need to buy big to be able to get profits. If he breaks the bank on one maybe two more people will come to see them

Agree3 Disagree4

The money we had from previouse players whent in HARRYS back pocket mate..we havent got the funds that we(the supporters)where led to believe...so selling modric is key 2 our future transfers

Damiao will be a tottenham player. Ade will eventually. Hugo Lloris will be our keeper. These are almost done, bank on them.
Aly Cissokho is the plan for lb, with Assou-Ekotto off to Psg.
Gaston Ramirez is a player avb wants, Sessegnon and Dembele are back up plans to him.
Still trying to get a real big name, but attempts so far have failed.
You are welcome.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

Well if as u say we get Damiao i think that would be a big name in my books ! u may stop dreaming 2 cause i cant see us geting him id love it to happen but highly doubt it,as for ade i reckon he will be with us eventually

Agree2 Disagree3

I never want to see damiao in a spurs shirt. he is never interested.

Agree6 Disagree3

I have a feeling this is finally the window we land Damiao. 3rd time lucky, COYS

Agree1 Disagree5

Did the Oracle forget to sign off on this one?

Agree4 Disagree1

Oracle, you forgot to put your name at the end of that post. Hope you managed to put your bong down and leave your bedsit to go see your beloved Leandro play at the Olympics.

Agree3 Disagree0

As crazy as it sounds I believe damiao will join us and to be announced very soon , I can't see why the hold up
For a striker if whoever signing is not at the Olympics , maybe hulk or damiao ?
We need a bug name signing to get the hope for the season back

Essex yiddo

Agree3 Disagree3

Oracle always signs off, regardless of how insane his ideas are. So I don't think this is him.
I have always been first in line to question he oracles predictions and am happy to hold my hands up to it. But I have never disagreed with the Damiao link that he has been beating the drum for. Why? Because I agree 110% with.
I can't wait to see Damiao in a Spurs shirt but if it doesn't happen this window I don't think it ever will.
Oracle will no doubt be on here gloating when/if it happens. But you know what - he'd be right to do so and not one of us can say he didn't tell us so fair play to him on this ONE.
Before I get accused of oracle loving, I am only talking about Damiao, some of his other predictions I still think are rather wide of the mark....

Flippit

Agree6 Disagree7

And after spending all this dosh spurs qualify for cl but get banned under the fair play rules.lol

Agree1 Disagree3

Lets be fair, of course he is not interested in joining Spurs, who would be!

Agree3 Disagree5

Sorry but I agree with everything bar ekotto. He's not leaving I guarentee even if we do get cissohko

Agree2 Disagree2

Damiao will NOT be signing for us, stop dreaming not sure if I want him anyway as is doesn't seem interested in us. Do NOT want Ade, complete waste of money, as he doesn't want play when on a perm contract. Lloris is still a possibility, but would rather get Butland. Cissokho and Ramirez would love to see and both are a possibility. Whoever is coming in needs to come in quickly less than a fortnight to KO. COme on Levy and AVB pull ya finger out and get these players!!

THFC4EVER

Agree3 Disagree1

If u seriously think he will be anounced soon u better pray that the 11mill bid was a joke and Levy has offered about 20. understand he looks for the cheapest signings but he needs to wake up if he thinks hes getting that good a player for 11 mill.

Haymaker

Agree1 Disagree0

What striker do you want then? Who do you think we can get better than those two? At least one is definitely available and proven and the other looks great potential and his club would be willing to sell and he'd want to move somewhere.

There is nobody else obvious out there that we could afford and/or get. Some have shot down my Berbs idea but we're 11 days away from starting the season with no real striker and only another 12 from the end of the window. Starting the first 2-3 games without him/them will cost us, then Ade and Berbs won't look such silly options, available, can be affordable (if considering total fess and wage costs, certainly in fees alone very cheap), proven. Unless there is a master plan then this makes sense, we've watched several windows come and go WITHOUT getting the top striker/s we need in, this one probably the same at this rate.

Agree1 Disagree0

Eeerrrr who is better? Huntelaar! Proven at international and club level plus he is a spurs fan and has said he would pick us over any team. I have been wondering for the last two seasons at least why levy hasn't gone in for him!

Agree2 Disagree1

To be honest I'd put Huntelaar in the not available pot but only as I would think we would have to pay £18m and Levy would only offer £14-15m and because Schalke don't really want rid. I thought he'd signed an extension not that long ago but just reading that he had put it off. Definitely should go for him but need two.

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Aug 2012 01:35:04
Avb likes a front three with a big man in the middle. The big striker will be either Ade or leandro (if levy gets his act together). Bale on the left but I imagine avb would like to bring in another winger. Hulk would be the perfect candidate since he's quick strong, scores goals and is mates with avb. Fingers crossed we can sort wages and transfer fees out.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Big man in the middle? Falcao was only 5ft 10 hardly big

Agree1 Disagree0

This is typical English football thoughts stick a big man In the middle ... Whom ever commented first you beat me to it .... AvB doesn't play big men it's not however meaning to say he won't

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes still brilliant in the air
