Just need to ask , is Redknap the most useless tactician in the premier league or just fu****g useless ? We are down to 10 men , we need a win , we have 2 CF on the bench , so he takes off VDV and puts on the most defensive midfielder he can find !! For f***s sake Harry , you dont owe these players anything , they play for the club ! why did you put Parker on , to boost his england chances . As a tactical manager , you are a joke ! You need to win , take off an attacker and put on a defensive midfielder , thats patched it up . What the hell must Defoe and saha think . It was harry who brought saha in , and he doesnt use him ! Even saha is better than Parker when we need to score ! All I got to say is , Levy get rid of Him . What with the England fiasco , and his tactical sense , he has cost this club big time !!!!

This is why he is at a second rate,never going to be big club like the spuds,he is perfect for you...I hope he stays for years!

Parker was put on to secure the point,with sandro pushed forward.
defoe would have shot from every angle possible and been offside more times than not.
dont forget we were down to 10 men so needed security as well as a threat up front.
defoe would have have changed the shape of the side and possibly cost us the point we won.

But when a fellow spurs supporter agrees with what Redknapp did today , I have to start wondering if your name is either Harry or Jamie or Sandra . We were all over villa , we wanted 3 points not 1 , and at least Defoe would have had a shot , also as usual , harry makes his subs with 2 mins to go . For f***s sake was you watching a different game ! Harry has done all he can for this team , if we qualify for CL no way will it be down to Arry . He was ready to run to England as quick as possible and his loyalty is to himself . He is crap at tactics and tactical substitutions . He is a good man motivator , but thats the end of it . Perfect for England as he could have carried on playing his old team and chums but not for us any more . Bye bye Arry I hope !!

I think a lot of people have overlooked that putting Parker on was about allowing Modric, Bale and Sandro to keep pushing forward without having to constantly think of covering back
Just because a more defensive player comes on doesn't mean it's a defensive sub and to be honest the 10 men were doing all the attacking and it was only VDV picking up an injury that meant having to make a substitution. I think Harry made a decent call, of course JD or someone else could have come on and scored, but equally so could have Modric, Bale or Sandro with Parker on to allow them to get on with it.
It's still all to play for even if we aren't completely masters of our own destiny

You would all be crying if we bought defoe on and villa had got another lucky goal. we may think it was a negative substitution but harry was looking at next week still being able to get cl which would have been harder if we would have lost. stick with harry and judge him when the season ends

Maybe , but if defoe had come on and scored we would have been a lot f***ing happier . And as they couldnt get the ball out of their half , 4 mins to go , not much chance of them scoring . Anyway , it would have been an attacker coming on for a attacking midfielder , big deal !!

i can just imagine the outcry if defoe had come on and villa nicked a late goal,denying us any points.
i agree hr is tactically inept at times,and his substitutions bemuse me at times,but parker provided assurance at the back ,allowing our attacking instincts to continue.
defoe is one of the most frustrating players i know,especially this season when his options have been limited.comes on late and has a point to prove,thereby he shoots from every angle and at every possible opportunity,which usually results in a goal kick for the opposition.....not ideal with minutes to go and us chasing a win.
i would have liked to have seen gio given time on the pitch,no theres a player with a point to prove.unfortunately,hes not going to be given the chance before he leaves.
as for the arses,i couldnt give a toss what those chappies post on our page,theyre more fickle than us.wait til rvp moves on,hes kept them in the top 6 this season single handed

I am totally amazed that Spurs fans are trying to justify Parker as some master tactical move. Sure he can hold the line but we were all over Villa with Van Der Caart on the field. We had a point that was worth nothing as we have superior goal difference to Newcastle, and therefore a loss would not have affected our standing. Even if you were looking at Arsenal they would have been 2 points clear, so provided we beat Villa and Arsenal drew or lost we would also have finished above Arsenal despite a loss a Villa. The only conclusion is Redknapp has not got a clue tactically, and he has proved this throughout the season. This was a game that we had to win, and the correct substitution would have been VDV and Adebayor off for Defoe & Saha, and Parker on for Sandro if fresh legs was the bane of the game. All this should have happened at 75 minutes not the dying seconds like so many other games this season.

As for you Gooners who are gloating after another great escape, how ironic will it be if you draw or even lose at The Hawthorns. Sure WBA are average at best, but they have already beaten Chelsea and taken point off Man City at home, and with Hodgson off to England I would be so certain that they don't turn in a positive one. So less of your smugness your pitiful swines
